My Professions Have Too Much Personality

Chapter 652 - 354: Suspicion, Who Exactly Is It?

  • Next Chapter

Sun thought he had found the answer, but soon more doubts arose. "But how did this person get in?"

"And those flames swirling around him are exactly the same as the Flame Fire. It’s impossible for him to manipulate the Residual Fire here like I do, right?"

He had many unanswered questions in his heart, but the Spirit of Sun in front of him seemed a bit impatient. Two streams of air surged from its nostrils, seemingly urging him to leave.

He stared at the illusory word "One." "I’d like to see exactly what is going on with you!"

The sudden appearance of this guy truly shocked and infuriated him. Whether it was this Flame Fire or the Spirit of Sun, both were his exclusive possessions. He had paid a massive price before but failed to succeed. However, Su Chen’s appearance had given him hope. Before obtaining that vessel, he would absolutely not allow anyone else to lay a finger on it.

Although he was a humanoid projection, his form was special. He could see clearly in all directions and naturally spotted the figure wrapped in flames in the distance.

"Playing tricks and putting on a disguise," he thought. "I originally planned to save some power for emergencies, but now it seems..."

Sun’s illusory shell shattered in an instant. Countless hairline cracks spread from the inside out, peeling off piece by piece like colored glaze struck by a heavy hammer. A golden mist, condensed as if tangible, surged out and flowed like molten gold, carrying turbid Divine Blood that was as dark red as solidified stars. In the deepest depths, a faint and extremely profound dark light quietly emerged.

It did not seem like blackness, nor did it seem like darkness. The surrounding space was affected by it, distorting slightly. The dark light suddenly erupted, sweeping up the surrounding mist and Divine Blood. It darted toward the word "One" suspended above the text in front of it and sank right into it.

"What is he doing?"

Outside, the Ancient Kings noticed Sun’s abnormal movements. Vast Sea frowned deeply, his voice cold. "Since it has already been confirmed that the person became the Chosen One, why is he making further moves?"

The others had deep looks in their eyes. Sun had not mentioned this to them beforehand, and they greatly disliked things that fell out of their control.

Meanwhile, suspended in the sky, Su Chen frowned deeply as he stared at the text floating in front of the Spirit of Sun. "He really does have a way."

"But it seems it can only determine whether an acknowledgment and a Chosen One have been born. If that’s all, it’s fine..."

Before his thoughts could settle, he saw turbid Energy surge out from Sun’s projection, rushing violently toward the text in front of it.

Su Chen immediately had a bad premonition. "This guy still has other tricks?"

The next moment, the text exploded, turning into a turbid stream of Energy that shot into the sky!

Seeing this, a hint of anger seemed to surface in the Spirit of Sun’s eyes. Boiling purple flames erupted around the palace, and a ferocious dragon claw slowly took shape. Accompanied by a muffled rumble, it swatted heavily at the churning Energy.

BOOM!

Shockwaves rolled and burst outward. That turbid stream of Energy instantly exploded into billions of light particles, shattering and evaporating in the air. A portion was forcibly destroyed, but another part continued to spread.

The space suddenly dimmed. Immediately after, a slightly illusory black curtain unfolded, covering half the sky.

Su Chen subconsciously looked over. It was pitch black with no images at all, but he did not relax. Who knew what other tricks this guy had up his sleeve? What if his face suddenly popped up on it...?

"What’s going on? Why can’t I deduce anything?" Sun’s projection flickered in and out of existence, looking as if it would disintegrate at any moment.

He felt completely bewildered. With his methods, even if the other party was truly in the Moonlight Tier, he should have been able to deduce some clues. How could it be completely pitch black?

His vision darkened. It was the Spirit of Sun staring at him coldly. Its bloody maw was already wide open, intending to swallow him whole. Clearly, his actions had enraged the Spirit of Sun.

"I don’t believe it..." he thought, feeling a surge of frustration. The moment the Spirit of Sun opened its massive mouth, his illusory projection completely collapsed, oozing out a wisp of an extremely profound black substance.

An unmistakable look of disgust flashed in the Spirit of Sun’s eyes, as if it were nauseated. It snapped its open mouth shut. Taking advantage of this split second, the black substance darted straight into the illusory image overhead.

"This black substance is probably his true form," Su Chen analyzed clearly from a distance. "It’s no longer purple. Sure enough, the Sun Residual Fire was just a disguise." He figured this was the other party’s last resort.

After that incredibly dense black substance sank into the illusory screen above, it faintly triggered some kind of change. A glow seemed to emerge. The image was extremely blurry. Nothing could be seen clearly, as if separated by a thick curtain.

Su Chen’s heart skipped a beat. "This guy can actually find me?"

He didn’t expect the Cultivation Residence to come in handy so soon. Taking a deep breath, he fixed his eyes on the black canopy. He made up his mind—if this guy really found him, he would disgust him right back by spilling everything he knew.

Right at that moment, text suddenly appeared on his interface.

[External power invasion detected. Taming in progress...]

[Taming successful. Obtained: Incomplete Power of Taixu]

Su Chen was stunned. His interface didn’t easily react to external forces. He quickly checked it.

[Incomplete Power of Taixu: Can be used to deduce certain things you wish to know. Note: Requires the assistance of related objects.]

"Deduction? It’s not a material for a profession, but the power of that Residual Spirit?"

"This guy is really something else," Su Chen murmured, his brows knitted tightly. This guy’s Energy could be tamed by the interface. Could he be a Deceitful God?

"Taixu? I’ve never heard of this name."

BOOM!
