My Professions Have Too Much Personality

Chapter 640 348: Abyss Realm Chain Reaction

Su Chen's mind raced with countless thoughts in that fleeting moment.

This was the second time he had heard the name "Abyss Realm." The first time was from the Faceless Ghost. It was undoubtedly a civilization far larger and more powerful than the Dust Star Sea.

Not only was it the birthplace of the Sun Tier, but it also produced this almost absurdly potent Potion.

"The trial grounds are about to disappear. Please leave immediately!"

The virtual screen flashed its warning. Snapping back to reality, Su Chen didn't dare to delay. He walked straight toward the pale purple Energy window hovering amidst the sky-filling yellow sands.

The moment he stepped out, the Residual Fire re-ignited across his body. The Energy Barrier behind him flickered before completely vanishing, revealing a spacious, empty hall before him.

Su Chen stepped inside and took a look. It was completely empty.

"This place is just an entrance," Su Chen murmured. "That means these palaces are essentially like opening mystery boxes. The specific rewards depend entirely on your performance. At least, that's how it works at the bottom of the tower. As for the upper levels..."

A hint of anticipation gleamed in his eyes. Originally, his interest in these palaces hadn't been that strong; it was mostly just curiosity.

Now, backed by the Bronze Sect, he wasn't lacking in conventional resources. Even so, a Potion that could directly advance his Professional development progress still left him somewhat astonished.

Although it could only be used once per Tier, its effects were outrageous. It could save a massive amount of time, especially during the late stages of a Tier.

"With good luck, even a small vial like this can save me over a month's time," Su Chen said, gripping the Potion in his hand.

Meanwhile, in the Royal Court's research base in the outside world, the Ancient Kings had already returned and gathered together in one hall.

This time, even the extremely frail Qin Yun was given a small corner in the room. His head hung low as he breathed heavily. He cursed inwardly, "The methods this Sun mentioned are indeed full of traps!"

He truly hadn't expected that carrying this wisp of Spiritual essence would constantly drain his Origin.

If the Ancient Kings weren't all present to keep him hanging by a thread, he wouldn't even last ten days before being completely drained to death.

The other Ancient Kings clearly didn't care whether he lived or died, but the Spiritual essence he carried could not be lost. Because of this, he had to remain right under their watchful eyes.

The Ancient Kings sat in a circle. On the metal table in the center, a virtual screen slowly rotated.

No matter the angle, a figure shrouded in purple flames could be clearly seen on the screen. Amidst the indistinct silhouette, only a pair of eyes looking downward was visible.

"Bronze, were you able to analyze any information just now?" Profound Celestial Ancient King asked, a questioning look in his eyes.

Bronze Ancient King's Professional abilities were unique and went far beyond simple visual observation. If it were an ordinary Professional, he could see through most of their secrets just by having them stand in front of him.

Bronze Ancient King shook his head. "These flames block all forms of detection. I couldn't capture any useful information."

"Not even you?" Holy Cauldron Ancient King asked, quite surprised. Already showing signs of old age with the white hair at his temples, he stroked his white beard and pondered for a moment. "This person can endure that Sun Fire head-on without being affected in the slightest. He should be no weaker than us, and perhaps even stronger."

"We are all gathered here, so this person must have come from outside the Dust Star Sea."

"The Abyss Realm," Zhenwu Ancient King said, spitting out the name.

The expressions of the other Ancient Kings shifted slightly.

"Although this place is a few months' journey from the Dust Star Sea, strictly speaking, it isn't that far," Zhenwu Ancient King continued. "If the Abyss Realm has already found this place, I'm afraid they aren't far from finding the Dust Star Sea, either."

At the mention of that name, the Ancient Kings all took on solemn expressions, even harboring faint traces of unease.

"Hanhai," Bronze Ancient King said, looking toward Hanhai Emperor with a heavy voice. "You need to evacuate this research base of yours."

Hanhai Emperor's eyes flickered. "Since the other party entered that Flame Fire without destroying this research base, they likely didn't arrive through physical space. They probably traveled through the Nether Realm."

Bronze Ancient King shook his head. "Regardless of how he got in, he has already discovered us. If he forcefully breaks out, he could still use your research base to pinpoint our coordinates."

Inside the Nether Fog, it was impossible to determine one's direction or communicate with the outside. One could only follow a pre-set course, and this research base just so happened to contain the navigation route leading to the Dust Star Sea.

"If you are all so afraid, you might as well go into hiding early," Zhenwu Ancient King said indifferently. "If that moment truly arrives, I will naturally hide as well," he added frankly.

Holy Cauldron Ancient King frowned. "Although we know such a place exists, the distance is immense. We have never interacted with each other, so they might not necessarily be enemies."

"Not necessarily," Zhenwu Ancient King chuckled softly, clapping his hands. Though his smile was gentle, his voice was utterly cold. "Holy Cauldron, judge them by our own actions. What did we do when we discovered those scattered Star Realms within the Nether Fog?"

"We didn't resort to mindless slaughter at the drop of a hat, did we?" Holy Cauldron Ancient King said, shaking his head.

"That is true. We might even offer a little assistance, but only if they have no great value," Profound Celestial Ancient King said with a nod.

"With six Moonlight Tier Professionals of the Dust Star Sea stationed here, along with a massive amount of Flame Fire, we are not lacking in value to the Abyss Realm. In fact, our value is far too great.

"If the cost of forcefully plundering is too high, they would naturally choose peaceful coexistence. But we have no idea what that place is like or exactly how powerful they are. We have no choice but to be on our guard."

"Perhaps there is someone who knows," Bronze Ancient King suddenly pointed out. Everyone's gaze instantly fell upon that burning cluster of purple flames.

The Sun replied in an indifferent tone, "I have already told you. My memories are severely fragmented. I only retain a portion of them and have absolutely no idea where I came from."

Hanhai Emperor shook his head. "We can discuss this matter later. The most important thing right now should be this Spirit of Sun. We have already done as you said and embedded a wisp of Spiritual essence into Qin Yun. The next step is to take Qin Yun back and observe the participants of the Peak Star Conference."
