My Professions Have Too Much Personality

"If I want to use an unorthodox method, it seems I can only set my sights on him."

Su Chen put away the Fire-igniting Ash, which had gathered together like fine, flowing gold. "Since he had a method to bypass the trials and make Qin Yun and the others into Approved Ones, and I just want to take a glance at the Professional requirements—not even necessarily the complete picture—and not become a Chosen One, the difficulty shouldn't be too high.

"No, that's not right... He only claimed to have such a method. After he used his means, this Spirit of Sun was actually enraged; it didn't really succeed."

Then this matter was truly tricky... Su Chen calculated. Now, he actually wanted to communicate with that Residual Spirit.

Unfortunately, it was almost impossible.

His gaze fell on the metal palace not far away. He tentatively lifted his foot, intending to take a step forward. Before his foot even landed, he felt a sudden burst of invisible Giant Strength from his surroundings. It was as if an unseen wall was forcefully pushing him back.

Su Chen stealthily exerted his strength, but the force of the invisible barrier was unimaginably huge. It wasn't until he was forcibly pushed to the edge that the Invisible Power disappeared.

"Such a huge temper. I can't even take a look. It's not like I'm going to do anything." Su Chen muttered, having no choice but to turn around and walk down the steps. Standing at the top of the pyramid, he could take in most of the space in this area.

"I wonder if there are other things similar to the Residual Spirit elsewhere..." He walked down the steps, his gaze falling on the palace just below the top platform.

Below the top tier was the ninth tier.

There was only one palace here; the rest consisted of stacked metal walls. When he came up, Su Chen had been afraid of some taboos or rules, so he hadn't rashly stepped anywhere outside the main path. However, now that he had a status, he grew a bit bolder and stepped off the main stairs.

Approaching the only palace on this ninth tier, the guards on both sides looked much more burly and upright compared to the guards of other palaces. The surfaces of their purplish-copper metal bodies had extremely tight seams and were engraved with dark patterns. Once he crossed a certain boundary, the guards' pupils suddenly lit up with purple light, exuding a chilling aura. Su Chen instantly stopped and observed them without moving forward.

The style of this palace was much more massive and magnificent than those at the bottom of the pyramid. It was even comparable to the palace above that housed the Spirit of Sun. Fine, blood-like dark light flowed across its surface, which was carved with dense and complex patterns.

Su Chen carefully scrutinized it for a few moments before returning to the main path.

"With the Three Dragons' Approval, I can choose nine palaces on the sixth tier and below for trials. The seventh, eighth, and ninth tiers should be prepared for the Chosen Ones. I wonder what good things are hidden inside.

"This place is probably the Resource Library prepared by that dead Sun Tier Professional for his heir," Su Chen muttered as he walked down. The eighth tier had only two palaces, and the seventh tier had four. The number of palaces left for the Chosen Ones to open wasn't high.

When he reached the sixth tier, the number of palaces increased significantly; just looking at one side, there were four.

"I wonder what exactly is inside these," Su Chen said, stepping off the main path out of curiosity and approaching the nearest palace.

As expected, the metal guards standing on both sides didn't react at all this time. He leaned closer to inspect them. Their pupils were pitch black, completely profound and empty, revealing nothing inside. He tentatively knocked on one. It produced a dull, echoing thud. They weren't hollow, and their bodies were extremely hard.

"Trials... I wonder what kind of trials they are."

Su Chen focused his gaze on the metal door in front of him. He walked over, pressed both hands against the palace door, and tried to push it open, but it didn't budge an inch.

A virtual screen popped up between his palms: "Insufficient Professional Tier. Please upgrade to Tier Eight before attempting the trial."

There was actually a Professional Tier requirement?

Su Chen raised an eyebrow in surprise. Furthermore, he could actually read the text on it; it was the common language of the Dust Star Sea.

"This Sun Tier Professional probably isn't from the Dust Star Sea. Earlier, the Spirit of Sun communicated with me through mental transmission, so it's normal that I could understand it. But what's going on with this text?

"Or could it be that the common language of the Dust Star Sea is actually a universal language on a broader scale? The Dust Star Sea itself was also imported from elsewhere," Su Chen pondered inwardly, retracting his hands. "Tier Eight is required to attempt the trials here. For the palaces above, even the Chosen Ones would probably need to be Tier Nine to undergo their trials. Or would they need to be at the Morning Star Tier? That requirement isn't low at all."

He stroked his chin, but on second thought, compared to a Sun Tier, a Morning Star Tier really wasn't much.

Su Chen clicked his tongue and returned to the main path. He went down a tier and tried it on the fifth tier, but his Tier was still insufficient; he needed to be Tier Eight.

"It seems the fourth, fifth, and sixth tiers represent different difficulties within the same Tier, but all require Tier Eight to attempt the trials.

"Does that mean the first, second, and third tiers are for Tier Seven?"

Su Chen walked further down to the third tier.

"Insufficient Professional Tier. Please upgrade to Tier Seven before attempting the trial."

The virtual screen that appeared on the palace door confirmed his guess.

"In other words, right now I probably only meet the requirements for the scattered palaces at the bottom of the pyramid."

Su Chen frowned. In reality, he wasn't far from advancing to Tier Seven either. However, he was truly curious about what exactly was inside these palaces.

"I currently have nine chances. It won't hurt to spend one. At the very least, I need to see what exactly is inside these palaces."
