My Online Girlfriend Has a Twin Sister

Chapter 731 489: Mommy Ningning is the Real Mommy

"I didn't say anything," Chen Yuan said, smiling at Ningning while patting Jiang Yao's sleeve.

'This is one of the most important days of our lives. We have to get through it peacefully. It wouldn't be worth it to fight over something as petty as jealousy.'

Jiang Yao got the hint and gave a subtle smirk.

'She always loved these little, secret flirtations behind her sister's back. Stolen moments always felt sweeter than the ordinary kind.'

"I'm not drinking this. The coffee is a little too sweet," Jiang Ning said, raising an eyebrow.

The attendant beside her quickly lifted the tray and took the coffee away.

"If our three guests could please wait patiently, I've just received word that my colleagues are on their way—"

Before she could finish, the bridal shop staff hurried over.

"Hello, are you Mr. Chen?" asked the woman in a white dress who seemed to be in charge.

"Yes, I am," Chen Yuan replied, sizing her up.

'The young woman in the white dress looked a bit like the profile picture of the person he'd been communicating with on Green Bubble. She had some acne and her skin was a little dull. At best, her looks were above average.'

But she was still quite a standout among average women.

It was just that Chen Yuan, accustomed to the faces of his two wives, found her quite plain by comparison.

"I'm Cocoa. We spoke on Green Bubble before, Mr. Chen," the young woman said warmly. Her eyes curved into crescents when she smiled, which made her look a bit prettier. "I'll be in charge of everything for your photoshoot today. Please, follow me."

They shook hands, and Chen Yuan began pushing Jiang Yao's wheelchair.

The group—two women and one man, one of whom was in a wheelchair and wore a bandage—was certainly a unique sight. Thankfully, the bridal shop was only serving Chen Yuan's party today.

Otherwise, who knows how many people would have gathered around to stare.

"Both of you ladies are so beautiful; I'm sure the photos will turn out wonderfully. Mr. Chen, would you and your wives be willing to let us display your finished pictures on our photo wall for promotional purposes?"

"You'll have to ask them. I don't get a say in it," Chen Yuan said lightly.

"Photos with just two people are fine," Jiang Ning replied.

"Same here."

"Oh! I understand completely." As a guide in a century-old bridal shop, Cocoa was anything but unobservant. She could tell at a glance they were twin sisters marrying the same man.

She snuck a few extra glances at Chen Yuan, because he was also exceptionally handsome.

There were plenty of beautiful women in the world—she'd even seen some who were practically goddesses—but truly handsome men were a rare sight.

The shop had informed her beforehand that this client had an impressive background, so she didn't dare make idle chitchat.

Finally, they arrived before a door several meters high.

Attendants were already waiting there.

"Beyond this door is where our VIP clients select their wedding gowns and formal attire. Now, don't blink. As a shop with two hundred years of history, our dedication to wedding gowns has been unwavering, and it's something we're very confident in."

As she finished speaking, the two heavy doors swung open with a CREAK, revealing a fantastical corridor before their eyes.

Even the way this shop displayed its wedding gowns was utterly unique.

Glass display cases, one after another, lined both sides in place of walls. Looking ahead, countless lights on the ceiling illuminated the entire length of the deep corridor. The gowns were adorned with white tulle and diamonds, and some even had jewels suspended over them, casting dazzling, sparkling reflections everywhere.

Ripples of light danced in this dream-like sea.

The wedding gowns, displayed on mannequins, looked so solemn and sacred.

"Wow!" they gasped in unison.

They were utterly captivated by the unique design of the display, their eyes shining with wonder.

Jiang Ning stepped inside, moving as if in a trance. Her gaze was glued to the wedding gowns, and she couldn't look away.

"Push me in! Quick, push me in!" Jiang Yao urged, slapping Chen Yuan's thigh.

"I know, I know."

Even as a man, Chen Yuan was momentarily lost in a daze when the doors opened, swept up in the sacred atmosphere.

On the other side of the door was a bilingual inscription. The phrase, written in Italian, read: "This sacred pact with you: my life's only wish."

It was the final line of the wedding vows, spoken when a priest in Italy administers the oath to a new couple.

Their guide, Cocoa, was very satisfied with their reaction. As a long-time employee, she had seen the awestruck expressions of countless couples choosing their gowns, but she never tired of it. She felt a sense of shared pride in the stunning beauty born from the shop's two-hundred-year legacy.

"You have half an hour to browse the wedding gowns. The formal attire is displayed up ahead. I'll go wait for you there. See you in thirty minutes. I'll leave you to it for now." She offered a beaming smile and temporarily withdrew.

After she left, the two sisters exchanged a look.

With no outsiders watching, their reactions became even more dramatic.

They looked at each other and, in perfect unison, pumped their fists and squealed, their beautiful eyes sparkling, "WOW!!!"

'Just like real sisters, it's like looking in a mirror.'

"Now *this* is a bridal shop."

"This is the one we saw in the pictures, sis! It's even more beautiful and magnificent in person!"

"We really do have great taste."

"I want to try on every single one! They're so sparkly and gorgeous. Can we buy all of them, hubby?"

Jiang Yao asked, looking over at Chen Yuan.

"Even if we bought a hundred of them, you'd still only wear one for the wedding, my lady."

"Aww..."

"What 'aww'? Hurry up and pick one. You only have half an hour."

"Then help me up. I'm getting out of this wheelchair."

Such is the allure of wedding gowns for a girl that even Jiang Yao, despite her injury, was ready to abandon her wheelchair and stand.

Each individual glass showroom had a glass side door that could be pushed open, allowing customers to get up close to touch and admire the gowns.

So, Chen Yuan helped Jiang Yao up, supporting her as she hopped into the showroom.

Jiang Ning, of course, had already gone inside by herself.

Up close, soft light cascaded from the ceiling. The hem of the gown before them rippled like ocean waves, its layers upon layers cascading down to the floor. The wave-like train spilled across the gilded carpet, like the sea meeting a golden shore.

The entire gown was studded with crushed diamonds. They caught every ray of light, refracting a brilliant rainbow of colors. The tiny specks of light shimmered like a reflection of the night sky.

This was the very dress the sisters had picked out from the 3D images on their phone. Its name was "Reflection on the Seabed."

They had fallen in love with it at first sight yesterday.

Jiang Yao took a few hops forward, scaring Chen Yuan into quickly steadying her, terrified she would accidentally fall and worsen her injury.

Bending down, she carefully stroked the gown's hem, feeling the rise and fall of its pleats.

"The V-shaped cut in the back is really nice. It's semi-sheer, so it can show off the bride's back, and the swirl of crushed diamonds at the waist is so creative." Jiang Ning turned to look at Chen Yuan. "Chen, do you think... it would look good on me?"

"Of course. Ningning, with a figure like yours, this dress might as well have been tailor-made for you," Chen Yuan said, laying on the flattery at just the right moment.

Jiang Ning couldn't help but smile, quite satisfied with his answer.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Jiang Yao's face instantly fell. She tugged on Chen Yuan's sleeve. "Are you saying it wouldn't look good on *me*?"

"Um... there are so many dresses, and this is just the first one. Yaoyao, you can pick another. I'm sure there are plenty that will suit you."

"No. I want this one."

"I'm reserving it," Jiang Ning said coolly, not backing down an inch. "Chen said it would look good on me, so I have to try it."

"Hmph, that's only because I haven't asked him yet." Jiang Yao fixed her gaze on Chen Yuan. "Hubby!"

Chen Yuan: "?"

"Tell me, would I look good in it too? Even better than her?"

'What a loaded question...'

Cold sweat immediately started to form on Chen Yuan's brow.

Before he could even answer, he felt Jiang Ning's gaze on him as well, and he was instantly trapped.

'Knowing Yaoyao and her petty, grudge-holding nature, the consequences would be dire if he didn't take her side. But Ningning wasn't the type to be placated with just a few sweet words, either.'

"Well... as for who's more beautiful... Yaoyao, you're beautiful, of course. But Ningning is also very beautiful. After all, you two look exactly alike, so who is *really* prettier... That's a question that deserves serious consideration. Hmm... I must think about this question very carefully. I can't just give a rash, thoughtless answer."

He rambled on evasively.

Jiang Yao was left speechless.

"What are you mumbling about?"

"Beauty is never one-dimensional. The two of you would surely give off a different vibe wearing it," Chen Yuan said, a flash of inspiration hitting him.

"So aggressive..." Jiang Ning calmly took Chen Yuan's hand and pulled him behind her. She raised an eyebrow at Jiang Yao. "Who do you think you're intimidating?"

"I'm talking to my husband. This has nothing to do with you."

"Excuse me, but your husband is my husband too. And as long as I'm here, I won't let you act like this." Jiang Ning crossed her arms, her commanding presence instantly overwhelming Yaoyao's.

"You..."

'Damn, Mama Ningning is so badass.'

'Chen Yuan was so moved he could have cried, secretly reveling in the moment.'

'He declared Mama Ningning the one true mama.'

As it turned out, Jiang Yao really was just trying to stir up trouble. She hadn't actually wanted this particular gown; she was just feeling jealous after hearing Chen Yuan praise Ningning.

So she gave up on it without another word.

They reserved the first dress.

As they left that section, Jiang Ning was clearly reluctant to go. Her gaze lingered on the dress several times before she finally, hesitantly, walked away.

'Reflection on the Seabed...'

'It really is a beautiful name.'

Watching the look in Jiang Ning's eyes, Chen Yuan finally understood what people meant when they said it doesn't matter if a woman wants to get married or not—just take her to a bridal shop.
