"And my twenty Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones," Xue Wujian added without hesitation, tossing out twenty stones and handing them to the Seven Kills Sword Master for safekeeping.

"Um... I have twenty Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones here too. I wonder if Venerable Xue Feng would like to join in?" Su Miaoke chimed in.

She looked rather timid, her gaze darting away slightly as she glanced at Venerable Xue Feng.

As soon as she spoke, many in the crowd were stunned.

This was especially true for the Martial Arts Venerables. They hadn't expected this—it was one thing for that guy Chu Feng to be crazy, but his wife was a lunatic too.

'They're just too greedy! Utterly avaricious!'

Hearing this, Bai Han, who was standing to the side, felt utterly helpless. 'Those two are taking this way too far.'

"Are you two just trying to give your things away?" Bai Han reasoned. "I know Bai Xue's strength very well. So what if she's practicing the Heaven-Slaying Sword Technique now? Defeating You Qingtian of the Netherworld Sect will be incredibly difficult, almost impossible. You need to think this through before the match begins."

"I know, but there's always a sliver of hope, right? If you don't take a chance, you'll never win," Chu Feng said with a grin, brimming with confidence in Bai Xue. "Besides, think about the strength of our Celestial Sword Sect. How could my senior sister be weak? Of course she isn't."

He acted as if he already knew Bai Xue was going to win.

His words infuriated Bai Han. Her expression turned frosty and utterly cold.

Combat strength wasn't a child's game; it was built up through constant, daily improvement and accumulation. It couldn't just suddenly skyrocket in a burst of inspiration.

"You need to think about the consequences. What happens if she loses? That sword isn't just yours," Bai Han said.

"Who says the sword isn't mine? It's obviously my sword. He handed it to me personally. I even have a letter he signed himself," Chu Feng retorted.

"A personally signed letter? When he died, I doubt your ancestors were even born yet!" Bai Han was rendered speechless. She didn't want to talk to him anymore. 'He's nothing but a scoundrel.'

"Hey, I can't help it if you don't believe me. If you really want proof, you can go ask him yourself. In any case, this sword is mine and mine alone. No one can take it away," Chu Feng said.

"I'm done with you. When the Sect Leader decides to beat you up, I won't stop him," Bai Han said, exasperated. She was truly at her wit's end with Chu Feng.

"Senior Sister Bai Xue, go for it! You have to win!" Chu Feng yelled to Bai Xue on the fighting stage. He looked incredibly excited, and his exaggerated mannerisms were on full display.

Watching this, Venerable Xue Feng's face grew as black as thunder. He simply couldn't stand it any longer.

He immediately took Su Miaoke's bet of twenty Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones. After careful consideration, he concluded that Bai Xue's chances of winning were minuscule—practically nonexistent.

If he missed this opportunity, he'd probably be angry enough to die.

If he won this time, he could not only recoup the Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones he'd lost earlier but even turn a profit.

"Senior Sister! You have to win!" Su Miaoke also yelled toward the stage.

Bai Xue glanced over, her face a mask of confusion. She had already fought so many matches, yet this was the first time Chu Feng and Su Miaoke had ever cheered for her so loudly.

It was utterly baffling. 'Did something happen to that couple?' she wondered.

"Lady Bai Xue," said You Qingtian of the Netherworld Sect, "I am You Qingtian. I hope to have the honor of experiencing your Heaven-Slaying Sword Technique. To have earned the favor of Venerable Chu Feng must mean you are very strong. I hope you won't disappoint me."

"Please," Bai Xue said with a nod, wasting no more words.

She had no desire for small talk. If they were going to fight, then let's fight.

"Very well. I will make the first move," said You Qingtian of the Netherworld Sect.

As he finished speaking, a sword appeared in his hand. With a flick of his wrist, he thrust it toward Bai Xue, unleashing a torrent of sword light that blotted out the sky.

Seeing this, Bai Xue didn't hesitate either, immediately unleashing the Heaven-Slaying Sword Technique.

In kind, she sent countless rays of sword light flying to meet You Qingtian's.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

For a moment, the ceaseless sound of clashing swords filled the arena.

Anyone watching would have felt their hearts grow heavy. Both combatants were incredibly powerful.

The might behind every ray of sword light was terrifying, leaving all who felt it deeply shaken.

After a flurry of exchanges, Bai Xue had not fallen behind; she was holding her own steadily.

"Lady Bai Xue, your Sword Skill is indeed impressive, but it's still lacking something," You Qingtian said coolly. Suddenly, his eyes narrowed.

SHIING!

The longsword in his hand instantly shot out dozens of sword beams, each one terrifyingly powerful.

With this, the gap between the two began to show.

In the end, Bai Xue was still a step behind. She'd had several opportunities to defeat You Qingtian.

But each time, he had managed to dodge, and she had lost her chance.
