My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 343: Defeating You in One Move
The burly man was Xue Wujian.
"What? Are you scared? Need a woman to have your back?" Xue Wujian sneered.
"Scared? I, Chu Feng, don’t even know the meaning of the word. You’re pretty old to be this arrogant. Let me tell you, there’s always someone stronger. An attitude like yours is just asking for a beating. I’ll give you one chance to shut your mouth. Otherwise, I’ll make sure you’re utterly humiliated," Chu Feng said.
"Everyone, please stop arguing. We’re all from the same place, the Great Snow Mountain, so you could say we’re family. Let’s try to be civil. Our goal is to ensure the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony runs smoothly. The event hasn’t even started, and we’re already fighting amongst ourselves. What will others think of the Great Snow Mountain?"
At that moment, a man in red clothes stepped forward to speak.
"Sir, I wasn’t the one who started this. He’s the one who kept provoking me. Since it’s come to this, I ask all you seniors to bear witness. If I end up killing this guy, you can’t blame me for it," Chu Feng said.
"You little bastard! I say a few words, and you get all high and mighty? You really think you’re invincible just because you beat that piece of trash from the Qing Gang?" the burly man roared arrogantly.
"I see you’re all brawn and no brains. Enough with the useless talk. Do you dare to take a single move from me?" Chu Feng declared.
"Heh, one move? So what if it’s twenty? You think I’m afraid?" the burly man scoffed.
"You all heard him." Chu Feng wasted no more words and drew his Heaven-Slaying Sword.
With a clear ring of metal, Chu Feng slashed out, not bothering with any more talk.
’Since he’d talked such a big game, it would have been rude not to strike.’
For this strike, Chu Feng used the Celestial Sword Technique of the Celestial Sword Sect, but without channeling his Divine Soul.
Even so, its might was still terrifying.
BOOM!
With a massive crash, the sword slammed viciously into the big man.
The man had just raised his hand to block when Chu Feng’s sword fell.
BANG!
The longsword was knocked from his hand, and the immense force sent his entire body flying.
The big man’s body shot straight outside. A few people who had just arrived outside the hall managed to catch him.
Otherwise, he probably would have flown more than a dozen meters.
And it took all of them acting together to barely catch the big man.
After Xue Wujian landed, a flush appeared on his face before he spat out a mouthful of blood, his expression turning ghastly.
Chu Feng’s strike had directly given the man internal injuries.
If he hadn’t raised his sword in time to block, that one strike might have killed him outright.
"Who dares to be so brazen here!" An furious roar came from the doorway. The newcomers were several old men.
Their auras were incredibly powerful. It was clear that anyone able to be here was a Martial Arts Venerable attending the Grand Ceremony.
"I do!" Chu Feng declared loudly.
Then he turned to the man outside the door. "Xue Wujian, have you had enough? Or would you like to go another round?"
Chu Feng paid no mind to the old men who walked in, his gaze fixed outside the great hall.
At that moment, everyone in the hall was stunned, including Xue Wujian himself.
Although Xue Wujian’s strength was considered bottom-tier within the Snow Sword Sect, he had reached the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm long ago, and his power was widely acknowledged.
He was countless times stronger than that Gang Leader from the Qing Gang.
In truth, the power gap between cultivators at the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm was actually quite large.
According to Chu Feng’s understanding of cultivation realms, this was equivalent to Core Formation, which was also divided into four stages: Early, Middle, Late, and Peak.
In fact, even within the Initial Stage Realm, the disparity in combat power could be enormous.
Take the Heaven-Slaying Sword Emperor, for example. With his level of strength, all the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm experts present, even if they joined forces, would be no match for him.
"Insolence! Who do you think you are, acting so arrogantly? Everyone, how can you let a young whelp like this run rampant? Let’s strike together and kill him!" one of the old men roared.
His eyes were filled with rage, and he looked as if he wanted to tear Chu Feng to pieces.
"You’ve got a lot of nerve, Xue Fengjian!" Bai Han snapped coldly at that moment.
Like Xue Wujian, this old man was from the Snow Sword Sect, which was why he was being so arrogant and cursing furiously.
"Bai Han, what’s that supposed to mean?" Xue Fengjian demanded angrily.
"What’s it supposed to mean? Your Snow Sword Sect provoked my Celestial Sword Sect first. Now that you’ve lost, you’re so furious you want to rally everyone against us? Do you really think your Snow Sword Sect is so impressive? Believe it or not, the Sect Leader of the Celestial Sword Sect could annihilate your entire Sect all by himself!" Bai Han said with a cold glare.
"The Celestial Sword Sect? This boy is one of yours?" Hearing this, Xue Fengjian glanced at Chu Feng, his brow furrowed.
"That’s right. He is my junior brother and the personal disciple of our Celestial Sword Sect’s Sect Leader! It’s normal that you wouldn’t know. After all, with a bunch of trash like you, it makes no difference. And what could traitors like you do, even if you knew?" Bai Han said dismissively.
