"Senior Sister Bai Xue, just how strong is this senior brother of ours? Why would the Sect Leader suddenly take him as a disciple? I also heard that this time, he’s going to be the Martial Arts Venerable at the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony in the Sect Leader’s place? Is that true?" Bai Qing and her companion were incredibly curious.

"Mm, that’s right. This senior brother of yours will represent our Celestial Sword Sect and participate as the Martial Arts Venerable. As for his strength... you’ll find out in time. In any case, he’s far, far stronger than you can possibly imagine!" said Bai Xue.

"Far, far stronger? Don’t tell me he’s an expert at the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm? The position of Martial Arts Venerable requires reaching the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm to even be considered. If that’s true, isn’t that just too incredible?" Bai Qing said.

At that moment, Bai Qing’s face was filled with envy, her expression becoming completely star-struck.

"Alright, enough speculating. Just know that this senior brother of yours is stronger than you think," said Bai Xue.

However, her gaze fell upon Chu Feng carrying Su Miaoke to the summit, Su Miaoke’s arms wrapped around his neck.

A trace of envy stirred within her heart. ’That must be a wonderful feeling,’ she thought.

"Really? In that case, he’s just too amazing!" Bai Qing asked, her face alight with excitement and surprise.

Just then, Chu Feng walked over.

"What are you all talking about?" Chu Feng asked curiously as he approached with Su Miaoke.

"Senior Brother, we were just asking Senior Sister Bai Xue about your strength! I can’t believe you’ve already reached the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm at such a young age. That’s so awesome! You’re my idol!" Bai Qing said excitedly, the look in her eyes changing to one of pure adoration.

"It’s nothing special. Where are we headed next?" Chu Feng asked.

"Senior Brother, we need to enter the Sect and go to the Celestial Sword Hall. The Sect Leader is waiting for you," Bai Qing said.

The Celestial Sword Hall was the main hall of the Celestial Sword Sect, the first grand hall one saw after passing through the mountain gate.

The entire hall was magnificently built and spectacular to behold, giving off an imposing air, much like an emperor’s palace from a historical drama.

After walking through the mountain gate, one could also see other buildings behind and beside the main hall. These appeared to be the residences and cultivation grounds for the disciples of the Celestial Sword Sect.

Although the landscape here was covered in a vast blanket of white snow, practicing the sword in such a place yielded twice the results with half the effort.

"Greetings, Senior Sister Bai Xue." As the group walked past the buildings, a female disciple bowed to Bai Xue with great respect.

"Junior Sister, there’s no need for such formalities. How has your sword practice been recently?" Bai Xue asked.

"It’s going well. I’ve made some decent progress," the female disciple replied.

"That’s good. Keep up the hard work, and you’ll definitely see improvement," Bai Xue said with a smile.

"What kind of progress? Care to elaborate?" Chu Feng asked curiously.

"I am the sword, and the sword is me," the female disciple stated.

"But a person is, after all, just a person, and a sword is just a sword. Don’t you think there’s something wrong with that way of thinking?" Chu Feng said.

"I don’t think so. I am the sword, and the sword is me!" the woman insisted.

"Then you’re bordering on obsession. Let me ask you, why do you practice martial arts and study the sword?" Chu Feng asked.

"Obsession? Why?" The female disciple was a bit stunned. She never expected Chu Feng to say such a thing, and his question about her reasons for practicing martial arts and the sword truly stumped her.

She herself didn’t know why, nor did she understand the purpose. All she knew was that she had to practice the sword.

"In life, one must have a goal. The same is true for martial arts. Some practice for longevity, some for wealth and status, some to become unrivaled in the world, and others to fight injustice and bear the suffering of the masses. If you don’t even have a goal or a purpose, then what is the meaning of practicing the sword and martial arts?" Chu Feng said with a smile.

’For longevity? For wealth and status? Or to become unrivaled in the world?’

Hearing this, Bai Xue and the others were deeply shaken. Chu Feng’s words struck a chord deep within her, and in that instant, she felt lost and helpless.

’What is my goal?’

’Why do I practice the sword and martial arts? Who am I doing it for?’

It was a question they seemed to have never considered, a question to which they had no answer.

In other words, because they had joined the Celestial Sword Sect, they simply practiced the sword and martial arts as they were taught. They had never thought about their own true goals, or even whether they truly liked practicing the sword at all.

In truth, if this question were posed to anyone else, many would likely find themselves momentarily lost.

"Then, Junior Brother Chu, why do you practice the sword?" Bai Xue asked curiously.

In response, Chu Feng just smiled faintly. "I practice the sword simply as I please. Fist, palm, leg... no matter what you practice, they are all just tools to assist you. They are merely external forces."

Of course, Chu Feng’s true goal was to achieve immortality. But what he really wanted was for his entire family to live forever—that was his true objective.

"Then I think I understand what you meant earlier, Junior Brother. You’re saying we shouldn’t be too concerned with external forces. The sword, fists, palms—they’re all just tools. The individual is the foundation. Without the person, what else is there? Right?" Bai Xue asked.
