My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 333 - 33: Borrowing Force in Mid-air
"The person who made this rule was a total psycho. Something was wrong with their head," Chu Feng said.
On the path of the Martial Dao, very few Sects would ever restrict their disciples’ romantic lives.
After all, people are only human. We have natural desires. How could anyone forcibly control that? It’s just too unreasonable.
"Junior Brother Chu, that’s all in the past now. Master already said she’s going to get rid of that rule, so it won’t be a problem anymore," Bai Xue said.
In fact, many of the female disciples of the Celestial Sword Sect secretly longed to find their ideal man, the lover of their dreams.
But because of that one Sect rule, they all had to bury those feelings deep down and never dared to show them.
"Alright, let’s not talk about this anymore. I’m just visiting the Sect to take a look, anyway," Chu Feng said.
They chatted as the car drove on. After some time, they reached the mountain, where a fierce wind howled outside the car windows.
On this mountain, there was only one simple building, with a few people sitting and chatting by the entrance.
The car stopped in a parking area next to the building. They handed the keys to the people there, as the road ahead was no longer wide enough for a vehicle. They would have to continue on foot.
"Senior Brother, the car can’t go any further. We have to hike the rest of the way. It should take about forty minutes. See that peak up ahead? That’s our Sect," Bai Qing said.
"I see it. Why is the Sect built in such a remote place?" Chu Feng asked curiously.
"Because that’s the birthplace of our Celestial Sword Sect. The land there holds countless hidden swords. Legend says they came from beyond the heavens, which is how the Celestial Sword Sect got its name," Bai Xue said.
"Swords from beyond the heavens? Are there a lot of them?" Chu Feng asked.
"Of course. The recorded history of the Celestial Sword Sect alone spans several thousand years, and our lineage has never been broken. Every disciple’s sword is unearthed from the ground beneath the Sect. After all this time, we still haven’t run out of swords. Just imagine how many there must be," Bai Xue said.
They continued their upward trek as they talked.
The three Bai sisters led the way. They were extremely familiar with the path, moving with swift, sure-footed strides.
Dressed in their white robes, they exuded an ethereal, otherworldly aura, like Celestial Immortals descending to the mortal realm.
Chu Feng led Su Miaoke by the hand, following behind them. No matter how quickly or steadily the three sisters moved, Chu Feng kept pace with ease.
They navigated steep rock faces and perilous cliff edges—a path completely inaccessible to any ordinary person.
As they finally neared the Celestial Sword Sect, Chu Feng realized that what had looked like a mere peak from a distance was, in fact, an entire mountain.
A massive one, at that, with the Celestial Sword Sect built right upon it.
At the very summit stood another building, one that looked ancient.
"Ordinary people probably couldn’t last long here. It’s freezing," Su Miaoke said.
"You’re right, ordinary people couldn’t stay here. But we’re Cultivators, so we can handle it. Besides, our mountain has a natural hot spring lake. You can soak in it while you practice your Cultivation. It’s incredibly comfortable," Bai Qing said to Su Miaoke.
"Oh? There’s a hot spring lake on this frozen mountain?" Su Miaoke asked, surprised.
"There is. The lake is connected to the earth’s veins, so it stays warm all year round," Bai Qing explained.
"So how do you manage food and supplies in a place like this?" Chu Feng asked curiously.
"We used to have to haul everything up by hand. Now we can arrange for airdrops or helicopter transport. A single delivery can provide enough supplies for several months, or even up to a year or two," Bai Xue said.
"That makes sense. Your Sect only has about a hundred members, so one delivery of supplies would last a very long time," Chu Feng said with a nod.
"Senior Brother, there’s no path to the Sect from here. We have to climb. It’s a bit steep, so you two should be careful," Bai Qing said.
At that, Bai Xue stepped forward to demonstrate for them.
With a single leap, she shot more than ten meters into the air. Then, with a push from her right foot, she propelled herself even higher.
In just a few leaps, she appeared on the summit.
At this time, Bai Qing and Bai Feng also began to climb up.
Chu Feng, on the other hand, simply held Su Miaoke in his arms and leaped effortlessly. He shot over thirty meters into the air, then with a light tap of his right foot, he pushed off again, vaulting even higher.
In just two leaps, he landed easily on the summit.
"No way... That easily? Pushing off in mid-air?" Bai Qing was stunned when she saw what Chu Feng had done.
Neither of them had ever imagined Chu Feng could do something like that.
The two of them had no idea just how powerful Chu Feng really was. Only a few of the Celestial Sword Sect’s upper echelons, along with Bai Xue, knew the truth.
"Pushing off in mid-air... that requires immense Inner Strength. Even most at the Foundation Establishment Realm would find that difficult; in fact, it should be nearly impossible for them," Bai Xue said, watching Chu Feng’s retreating form.
Even though she already knew how powerful Chu Feng was, she was still shocked every time he demonstrated his abilities.
