The area was bustling with people leaving the martial arts hall one after another. Many were holding their phones, practicing some kind of move. There were office workers in their twenties and more composed individuals in their thirties. Of course, there were also plenty of young middle school girls and boys.

"Hey, Zhou Xiaopang, what the heck are you guys doing? What happened? Why did everyone run out? Are we not training today?" Cheng Xiaohai’s gaze swept through the crowd until he finally spotted a familiar face. Zhou Xiaopang was his classmate, a chubby kid with a round face. He and Cheng Xiaohai were best buds and had signed up for the Changchun Martial Arts Hall together.

"Train my ass. I’m too good for the third-rate stuff they teach at this hall. Get lost, Little Hai. Don’t bother your old man Fatty while I’m practicing this Ultimate Divine Skill." Zhou Xiaopang had a serious look on his chubby face. He was walking while holding his phone in one hand, occasionally stopping to imitate what he saw, striking poses he thought were badass. He muttered to himself, "Yeah, that’s it, just like that. So cool. The great hero in the video kicked just like this. It’s awesome."

"Damn you, fatty. What are you mumbling about? How dare you ignore me!" Cheng Xiaohai’s eyes darted around, and he suddenly reached out and snatched the phone from Zhou Xiaopang’s hand.

Zhou Xiaopang was completely focused on ’practicing his skill’ and didn’t notice in time. Just like that, Cheng Xiaohai snatched his phone away.

"Damn you, Little Hai, give me back my phone! Or else Fatty here won’t let this go!" Zhou Xiaopang panicked and rushed forward, trying to get his phone back.

"Heh heh, so what? It’s not like you and all that blubber can beat me," Cheng Xiaohai said smugly as he dodged Zhou Xiaopang’s pursuit. "Let your Brother Cheng see what has you so obsessed."

As he spoke, Cheng Xiaohai looked down at the phone screen. The moment he saw it, he froze and murmured, "Huh? Isn’t that my cousin, Ye Xing?"

"Your cousin? Which one is your cousin?" Zhou Xiaopang quickly leaned in, his curiosity piqued. For the moment, he forgot about getting his phone back.

"The one on the right side of the ring. That’s weird. What’s my cousin Ye Xing doing on a fighting ring?" Cheng Xiaohai was completely bewildered.

"What? You’re saying that hero on the right is your cousin? Holy shit, for real?!" Zhou Xiaopang said, his face a mask of disbelief.

"Why would I lie to you? That’s my cousin, Ye Xing. Of course I’d recognize him. Let me tell you, my cousin is a genius student, always in the top three of his grade," Cheng Xiaohai said proudly. "But wait, what’s he doing on a fighting ring?"

"Challenging the hall, of course. This first fight is against Coach Yu Bin." Zhou Xiaopang’s eyes lit up, and he started sucking up to him with a shameless grin. "Little Hai, if that master is really your cousin, you have to introduce me! If I could just learn a move or two..."

"What? My cousin is fighting Coach Yu Bin?" Cheng Xiaohai was shocked and started to panic. "Coach Yu Bin is so strong! His fighting ability ranks in the top three among all the coaches here. Why would my cousin go fight him? What the hell is going on? Is he hurt? No, I have to call my mom and my uncle right now."

Saying that, Cheng Xiaohai quickly pulled out his own phone and swiped the screen to make a call.

"What are you rushing for? Who told you your cousin was going to get hurt?" Zhou Xiaopang quickly stopped him from making the call, a faint look of composure on his face. ’No joke,’ he thought, ’I’ve watched this video on repeat several times already. I couldn’t be more clear on how it ends.’ This knowledge gave him a sense of calm and composure.

"Isn’t he? My cousin is a gentle, scholarly type. He’s a bookworm. How could he be a match for Coach Yu Bin?" Cheng Xiaohai said. Yu Bin’s fighting ability was incredible; he was ranked in the top three at the hall. At the Changchun Martial Arts Hall, the strongest was naturally the Hall Master, Wu Qiang, who could take on five people at once. Yu Bin was second only to him. While not as strong as the Hall Master, he was still incredibly powerful. An ordinary person would stand no chance against him.

"That’s not a given. You’ll see if you keep watching," Zhou Xiaopang said with a sly grin. "How about we make a bet? If Coach Yu Bin wins, I’ll do one thing for you. If your cousin wins, you have to do one thing for me."

"No bets. You’re way too crafty." Cheng Xiaohai turned his gaze to the phone screen, half-doubting and half-believing.

By now, the fight in the video on the screen had started. Yu Bin, on the left side of the ring, threw a punch straight at Ye Xing’s face. The fist cut through the air with a terrifying WHISTLE.

Ye Xing, on the right, seemed to be scared stiff, not moving an inch. Just as Yu Bin’s fist was about to smash into his face, the situation suddenly changed. Ye Xing casually threw out a kick, a leg whip that swept across. The next moment, Yu Bin’s body flew like a broken sack, kicked right off the ring.

"Is... is that really my cousin, Ye Xing?" Cheng Xiaohai was speechless for a long moment. He was starting to wonder if he had mistaken him for someone else. The cousin he remembered, Ye Xing, had always been a gentle scholar. When did he become so ferocious?

Cheng Xiaohai knew how incredibly strong Coach Yu Bin was. And yet, this incredibly strong coach had been sent flying by a single kick from Ye Xing.

Simple, direct, and brutal. The match was decided in a single kick.

"So? Badass, right?" Zhou Xiaopang chuckled. "The best part is yet to come. It’s a real shame you didn’t come earlier today to watch the challenge."

On the phone screen, the video continued to play. It soon reached the scene where Ye Xing was dueling Wu Qiang.

"It’s the Hall Master! Why is the Hall Master getting involved? He’s so much stronger than Coach Yu Bin!" Cheng Xiaohai became extremely nervous.

"The Hall Master ain’t shit!" Zhou Xiaopang boasted, spoiling the outcome.

"Not even the Hall Master can beat my cousin Ye Xing?" Cheng Xiaohai asked, his eyes wide with astonishment as he continued to stare at the phone screen.

A moment later, just as predicted, the Hall Master was defeated too, getting slapped several times by Ye Xing.

But then, the situation took another turn. The enraged junior coaches roared and surged forward, a dozen of them surrounding Ye Xing.

"What are they trying to do? That’s not a fair fight! They’re ganging up on him!" Cheng Xiaohai panicked. There’s a saying that even a master can be overwhelmed by a mob. Even if Ye Xing was a master of National Martial Arts, he couldn’t possibly withstand being ganged up on by a dozen trained coaches.

Just as Cheng Xiaohai’s heart was in his throat, the scene changed again. Ye Xing threw a left hook, then a right hook, followed by a spinning kick, all at an incredible speed. In an instant, the dozen or so coaches from the martial arts hall were sent flying backward like broken sacks, crashing heavily to the ground.

"Holy shit! So badass! My cousin Ye Xing is so badass!" Cheng Xiaohai’s eyes were filled with absolute shock.
