Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Ten Thousand Ants Bone-Eating Pill
The prospect of meeting a man like Wu Qiang left Feng Jianhua feeling both thrilled and nervous. He followed Wu Feng all the way to luxury suite 309.
"CREAK!"
The door opened, and Feng Jianhua followed closely behind Wu Feng into the luxury suite. Before he could get a clear look at the room, the door slammed shut behind him with a BANG.
Immediately after, a commanding voice rang out—
"Attack!"
The command was a single, simple word. Immediately, six or seven thugs swarmed him, raining down a flurry of punches and kicks.
"Don’t hit me! Ah, my glasses broke! Don’t hit me! Master Wu, I didn’t do anything to you! Why are you having people beat me? Stop! Please, stop hitting me!" Feng Jianhua screamed repeatedly, his voice filled with panic.
His gold-rimmed glasses had been smashed to the floor by a thug’s punch, the frames twisted beyond recognition. Feng Jianhua curled into a ball on the ground, protecting his head.
"THUD!" "THUD! THUD! THUD!"
After a full ten minutes, the beating finally stopped, leaving Feng Jianhua with a bloody nose and a swollen face, his body covered in bruises.
The six or seven thugs quickly retreated to stand behind the sofa, flanking it.
Both of Feng Jianhua’s eyes were swollen nearly shut, and he struggled to force them open. He looked ahead and saw about ten thugs standing guard on either side of a sofa. And on that sofa, sitting to the left and right, were two men.
One was a man in his late thirties with a ferocious aura. Feng Jianhua guessed this must be Wu Qiang, but since he’d never met him and his glasses were broken, his vision was too blurry to be certain. The other was a very handsome young man who was watching him with a gentle smile, his gaze peaceful, giving off a completely harmless impression.
"Master Wu, has there been some kind of misunderstanding? I don’t think I’ve done anything to offend you, so why did you have your men beat me the second I walked in?" Feng Jianhua said, clutching his aching body, his voice a mixture of grievance and indignation. ’He was still completely baffled. Didn’t Wu Qiang invite him here? Was he invited just to get beaten up? This was going too far!’
"You didn’t offend me, but you did offend the man sitting next to me. The consequences for that are far more severe than offending me!" Wu Qiang said in a deep voice.
"How is that possible? I don’t know this person next to you! I’ve never even met him, so how could I have possibly offended him?" Feng Jianhua said with a miserable expression, his gaze shifting to the handsome young man beside Wu Qiang, his confusion deepening. ’Besides, the young man looked quite friendly and not at all frightening.’
"You may not have seen me before, but you should know me. My name is Ye Xing!" the handsome young man said with a faint smile, the corners of his mouth curving up.
The color drained from Feng Jianhua’s face.
"It was you who reported me this afternoon, wasn’t it? Heh, something about a large stash of drugs in my home? Pray tell, where did you get that information?" Ye Xing said. "Filing a false report is a crime, you know."
"That... I... Ha... I just heard it from someone else. Anyway, the police only went in for a quick search. See? Your home didn’t suffer any real losses, right?" Feng Jianhua said quickly with an apologetic smile.
"No, there weren’t many losses. But having my home searched for no reason has put me in a very bad mood. You really managed to piss me off!" Ye Xing’s gaze grew colder. "Out with it. What other purpose did Sun Mingsheng have for sending you to Luoxian County?"
"What Sun Mingsheng? My boss didn’t tell me to come back. I came back on my own. It’s been a while since I was last in Luoxian County, so I just came back for a visit to catch up with some friends," Feng Jianhua said, his eyes darting around.
"Heh, pretty stubborn, aren’t you? I wonder what your boss promised you!" Ye Xing’s mouth curved into a cold sneer as he beckoned with his hand.
A thug immediately came to Ye Xing’s side.
Ye Xing took a small glass bottle from his pocket. It was filled with tiny black pills, each about the size of a pinky fingernail.
"Make him eat this pill!" Ye Xing twisted off the cap, took out one of the black pills, and placed it in the thug’s hand.
The thug took the black pill and immediately walked toward Feng Jianhua.
"What are you doing? What are you doing? Is that poison? I’ll call the police, I’m telling you! My friends are all downstairs! If anything happens to me, you’ll all go to jail!" Feng Jianhua’s eyes filled with terror, and he quickly turned to flee.
Instantly, two burly thugs surrounded him and pinned him to the floor, while the other began to force the black pill into his mouth.
"Ye Xing, is that black pill really poison? Will that guy die if he eats it?" Wu Qiang asked with some hesitation. After all, poisoning someone to death would be an extremely troublesome affair.
"Don’t worry, it won’t kill him. At worst, it’ll just make him wish he was dead!" Ye Xing grinned, revealing a set of gleaming white teeth. A hint of killing intent emanated from him, and Wu Qiang and the surrounding thugs all shivered, a cold chill running down their spines.
The black pill was called the Ten Thousand Ants Bone-Eating Pill. It was a Poison Pill that Ye Xing had refined based on the Five Poison Sect’s Five Poison Scripture. After consuming it, one’s bones would feel as if they were being gnawed on by countless stone ants—a piercing pain so intense it could drive a person mad, hence the name. The Ten Thousand Ants Bone-Eating Pill was one of the more well-known poisons of the Five Poison Sect, infamous for its horrific effects. Back on the Martial Arts Continent, many Martial Artists would turn pale at the mere mention of it.
By now, one of the thugs had already forced Feng Jianhua’s mouth open and fed him the Ten Thousand Ants Bone-Eating Pill.
The moment the Ten Thousand Ants Bone-Eating Pill entered his stomach, it instantly dissolved into a bone-chillingly cold current that spread toward every bone in his body.
"AARGH!"
Feng Jianhua’s face contorted in agony. He turned deathly pale, and beads of cold sweat began to form on his forehead. His bones felt like they were being pricked by needles, or as if countless ants were gnawing and crawling inside them—an unbearable itchiness and a heart-piercing pain.
"AARGH!" "What did you make me eat?! It’s unbearable! Unbearable!"
"Kill me! I’m begging you, just kill me!"
Feng Jianhua collapsed on the floor, letting out bloodcurdling shrieks.
"Heh, killing people is against the law. I wouldn’t do something like that!" Ye Xing said with a cold sneer. With a flip of his palm, a white pill appeared in his hand, also about the size of a pinky fingernail, roughly the same size as the black pill from before.
"Here, I have an antidote. Take this, and all your pain will disappear instantly," Ye Xing said to Feng Jianhua, a faint smile on his face, his gaze serene.
"The antidote? Give me the antidote! I’m begging you, give it to me! Quick, I need the antidote!" Feng Jianhua, his forehead drenched in cold sweat and his face twisted in agony, began to crawl with great difficulty toward Ye Xing on the sofa.
Watching Feng Jianhua’s expression of extreme agony, the surrounding thugs couldn’t help but shudder. Their gazes toward Ye Xing were now filled with a deep sense of fear. They mentally classified Ye Xing as someone who must never, ever be provoked. ’This was a man even more vicious and terrifying than their own boss.’
"Heh, I can’t just give you the antidote for free. You have to confess a few things, and your answers have to satisfy me!" Ye Xing sneered, dangling the white pill in front of Feng Jianhua’s face.
