To be honest, Gaemi was truly reluctant to leave this place. Although only a few days had passed, the feeling of standing above tens of thousands of ants and controlling everything had truly been unbelievably wonderful. Therefore, it was no wonder that her words had become so bold, with none of her previous timid and submissive attitude.

No matter what she wanted to do, the hardworking worker ants would do their best to accomplish her goals.

This was different from ant colonies in the natural world.

In the natural world, the Ant Queen only controlled most of the authority within the nest, and there were still situations where she could be overthrown. For example, when resources became scarce, some worker ants and soldier ants would choose to carry the Ant Queen outside and throw her away. But the Ant Queens of the extraordinary world were different.

The shackles of their bloodline gave the Ant Queen absolute control over her descendants. It was no longer the original situation where she could only control their reproduction. Instead, it was a more domineering and extreme form of control that allowed her to completely manipulate them as easily as if they were toys in the palm of her hand.

The Ant Queen could not only restrict their strength, but could even control their thoughts.

As for transmitting orders, there was no longer any need to rely on pheromones. Instead, orders could be issued through their bloodline, so there was no risk of the information being leaked in the slightest.

It had to be known that, in the natural world, the pheromones of ants with similar bloodlines were actually similar as well. Otherwise, there would not be situations where they jointly created an anthill, fought among themselves, and the victor ended up gaining control over the other ants.

A more cunning Ant Queen might even establish her own nest not far from another anthill, then use similar pheromones to lure the not-so-bright foraging ants over, causing them to mistakenly believe that she was their own Ant Queen.

However, even with such powerful abilities, they naturally had weaknesses as well. Although the previous Ant Queen had unlocked the bloodline shackles of her daughters that had left to establish their own colonies, compared with ordinary mutated beasts, they were more dependent on the power of their bloodline. Their potential was destined to be somewhat lower than that of the previous Ant Queen, making it difficult for them to break through this limit.

Gaemi’s willingness to stay was also partly because she had considered this.

As long as Joo Joowon was willing to bestow his bloodline upon her, help her break through her shackles, and not casually kill her, then becoming the regent who stood below only one ant but above tens of thousands of ants was not something she could not accept.

Of course, Gaemi had no intention of taking action right now. After all, she could still rely on her predecessor for the time being. As long as the previous Ant Queen did not die, her bloodline limit would continue to be raised as the other party’s strength increased. For now, there was no need for her to seek out the bloodline of another Ant Queen.

Originally, Gaemi had planned to build a good relationship with Joo Joowon first, then slowly seek this backup plan.

Now, however, whether she could even keep her life was already a problem.

She did not even know how she had gone from trying to reason with him to getting more and more emotional. Wasn’t that simply courting death?

In the natural world, creatures with larger bodies were often not weak, so Gaemi naturally assumed that Joo Joowon had definitely been very powerful when they first met. There was even less need to mention his current strength.

Would she still be given a chance?

Seeing that Joo Joowon did not object and did not seem to have any killing intent, Gaemi could not help letting out a sigh of relief.

Gaemi was very efficient. Once she decided to move, she moved immediately. The liquid in the pool was fed to the honey-pot ants again, while the other food was slowly carried out by the worker ants.

Joo Joowon discovered that there was not much food stored inside the anthill. This was probably because Gaemi ate more than an ordinary Ant Queen. Another reason was that most of the living creatures in the surrounding area had fallen into the hands of the Earthfire and been completely wiped out, making it difficult for the ants to forage for food.

Although worker ants were extremely hardworking and endured all kinds of hardships, their small size limited them. In an hour, they could only travel around forty or fifty meters. On top of that, they had to consider the weight and energy consumption when carrying things on the return journey, so the distance they could cover in a single day was indeed limited.

The one hundred meters in human eyes was equivalent to more than 5000 meters for them.

The ants Joo Joowon had encountered before might have looked no different from ordinary worker ants, but they had all hatched from eggs laid by the Ant Queen, so they were actually enhanced beings. They had tremendous endurance, otherwise they would not have been able to run such a long distance while carrying food back.

But these ants were different. Most of them had not been born from Gaemi, so naturally, their abilities were limited.

Therefore, after leaving the anthill, Gaemi could not help feeling troubled.

These ants were the entire group she had managed to gather after searching everywhere nearby. If she moved to another area, she might not encounter such good fortune again. If she left them behind, she would be unwilling to do so, but if she took them with her, their speed really made things difficult.

Seeing this, Joo Joowon directly used spider silk to make a "carriage."

Gaemi looked at it enviously. She also wanted to have such an ability, but ants of her kind could not produce silk.
