Under the pressure, Gaemi’s language ability had undergone a qualitative breakthrough. However, mental power had never been Byeol and Hwi’s strong suit, so no matter how much she tried to communicate, neither Byeol nor Hwi could receive the messages she was sending.

When Joo Joowon listening to Gaemi’s intermittent sobbing complaints, he was surprised to discover that Gaemi’s ability to express herself had now reached at least the level of a toddler who had just learned how to speak, rather than merely being able to convey simple emotions like before.

Could it be that after female ants became queen ants, their mental power would continue to increase as time passed, showing a constantly rising trend?

Joo Joowon had never considered that this improvement might have been forced out of her by reality.

After soothing Gaemi with his mental power for a while, he turned his head toward Byeol, who had not yet had time to hide the fierce expression on his face. He lowered his ears slightly, his beautiful heterochromatic eyes opened wide and round as he looked at Joo Joowon innocently.

Joo Joowon pressed a hand against his forehead, he then crouched down and lightly tapped his head. "You can’t do this anymore, understand?"

Actually, it would not be accurate to say that Byeol had done anything particularly terrible. He had listened to Joo Joowon’s instructions and had never considered taking advantage of Joo Joowon’s absence to kill the queen ant. However, that did not mean he suddenly found Gaemi pleasing to look at.

Whenever Joo Joowon was away, it was inevitable that Byeol would get bored and start playing around with her. He had not used his claws, nor had he bitten her with his teeth.

From Byeol’s perspective, he felt that he had already been extremely restrained and generous. But she had actually dare to go and complained about him!

Byeol felt wronged, but Byeol would not say anything. In his agitation, his cat-like eyes gradually became misty with tears.

Joo Joowon only felt an even greater headache coming on. Being an only child really did make it difficult to accept a younger sibling. Byeol had always been somewhat domineering by nature, and since Hwi was someone he had brought home himself, that was still manageable. But this third one was someone Joo Joowon had brought home without even discussing it with him beforehand. How could he possibly accept such an injustice?

"Byeol..." Joo Joowon did not know what else to say. Trying to make a simple little kitten understand the realities of the situation was simply too complicated. How could he possibly understand something like this?

Joo Joowon stroked Byeol’s soft fur and said,"You have to believe me. No matter how many people come to live with us, you will always be the most important little one in Mommy’s heart."

Byeol only caught one keyword. There was actually another one? What was going on?

His devoted human who had always been completely devoted to him had suddenly fallen in love with someone else!

He irritably flicked his tail and found Gaemi even more unpleasant to look at. He could not help grinding his teeth.

Naturally, he could receive the soothing emotions Joo Joowon sent toward him through mental power, but that did not change the uncomfortable feeling in his heart.

Cats were solitary animals. However, when the outside situation was unfavorable, cats were not incapable of joining forces with one another.

Byeol was already a mature little cat, so he naturally understood this principle. Understanding it was one thing, but whenever he saw Joo Joowon’s attention fall on any creature other than himself, he still could not help feeling jealous.

After all, in the past, whenever his human brought home another little cat, as long as he showed his dislike for it, he would eventually send the other cat away.

Not to mention, she was so weak! This was what Byeol cared about the most and found the most unacceptable! In the hands of him and Hwi, Gaemi was almost completely incapable of fighting back. She was simply far too weak.

When Joo Joowon had fought the Big Belly Zombie, Byeol had already realized that having only him and Hwi by Joo Joowon’s side was still far from enough. With their current strength, they could not protect him. Therefore, they needed more helpers. But the one his human had brought home was really no good!

She could not even defeat the two of them. How could she possibly protect his human? If anything, his human would have to protect her instead! So Byeol had no way of accepting her.

When the environment at home was not safe, there was no need to have another burden around. But his human liked her... As Byeol rubbed himself against Joo Joowon, he thought indignantly to himself that if they encountered danger and Gaemi dared to make his human protect her, he would bite her to death!

Seeing that Byeol’s attitude had finally softened, Joo Joowon could not help but let out a sigh of relief.

After all, no one knew how long it would take to establish a territory. During that period, Gaemi and Byeol would inevitably have to interact with each other.

If Byeol continued behaving like this the entire time, it would indeed give Joo Joowon a considerable headache. Fortunately, Byeol was willing to listen to advice, so Joo Joowon did not need to worry about him too much.

After stroking Byeol, Joo Joowon placed Gaemi on his shoulder and did not let her go back to be alone with Byeol and Hwi. Accepting her did not mean that he liked her.

It was still better not to leave them together.

Joo Joowon gathered all of his supplies. Anything that could be taken with him, he would take. He had collected all of these things little by little himself, so unless he was truly forced into a situation where he had no choice, he would not give them up.
