Anton used one of his Town Portal Scrolls to summon a portal back to his room in the Rose Manor once Ekios left.

Once he was back home, Anton immediately dispelled the Town Portal. He wouldn’t have any trouble returning to Remuth since he already knew several spatial coordinates that would bring him back there.

The next thing he did was cast the Spatial Coordinate Determination spell to acquire the spatial coordinates of his room so he could use the Gate spell to return to the Rose Manor whenever he wanted without needing to use another scroll.

In truth, Anton already preferred using the Gate spell that Traveler’s Haven had given him over the Town Portal Scroll. Unlike his Diablo II portal scroll, he didn’t need to keep the Gate open to return to where he had come from. He could simply cast it whenever he wanted and travel to any place whose spatial coordinates he knew.

Once he had saved the spatial coordinates of his room, he left and went to check on things. The first person he saw was a maid, who was surprised to see him.

“Sir! You’re back!” the maid exclaimed.

“Can you tell Raymond to meet me in the sitting room to the east of the manor, overlooking the garden?” Anton told the maid, who immediately rushed off to obey his command.

Once he reached the sitting room, Anton waited for Raymond.

He appreciated the fact that the garden remained lively and full of flowers. He assumed that either his father or Anna had been keeping the gardens healthy by using the Sorceress Blizzard spell converted into Mana Rain.

After a couple of minutes, the family butler arrived.

As expected, Raymond told him that everyone was busy with their own affairs. Anders was back in Oakswood, Anna was at her academy, and the others were handling the different family businesses.

Luna was shadowing Romina, while Alfred was in school. Anton’s stepbrothers had joined Alfred at school, and it didn’t matter that the boys’ school was on another continent since, with the portal scroll, their home in Oakswood was practically just a doorstep away.

The only people currently staying in the manor were the mages who were training.

“Do you want me to send a servant to tell your father that you’re back?” Raymond asked.

Apparently, a portal was almost permanently open that led to Anders’s manor in Oakswood.

“No need. And don’t disturb the mages. I’ll be leaving again in a few minutes anyway, and I probably won’t be able to return home for a long time. It doesn’t matter too much since I’ve always been in communication with Father, my sister, Paul, and Eric,” Anton told Raymond.

The butler looked curious when Anton mentioned that he was able to communicate with the two newcomers who were training to become mages.

Anton didn’t enlighten the family butler because, in truth, many people already knew about his Diablo System, and he didn’t want to add anyone else to that list.

The main reason he had returned to the Rose Manor was to acquire its spatial coordinates so he could return home whenever he wanted.

He also considered going to Oakswood to acquire its spatial coordinates but decided to do that at a later time. Besides, since there was always a portal open that led to Oakswood, he could always get there by first returning to the Rose Manor.

Anton handed several Tiny Globes of Browser Sharing to Raymond and told the family butler that they contained hundreds of movies.

Although Anton knew that Raymond was already aware of how the globes worked, he still reminded the family butler that the globes would only last for seven days. That meant they would have to work quickly to ensure that the movies stored inside them were transferred to magical item recorders before the globes expired.

He then told Raymond about the different types of movies and television series contained on the globes.

Anton pointed to one of them and told Raymond to give it to Romina because it contained shows related to fashion and modeling. He knew that such content would be important to Romina and Luna for the fashion business the family had started.

After Anton had said everything he needed to say, he said goodbye to the family butler and told him that he was leaving.

Once Raymond left the salon, Anton cast the Anchor spell. He then cast the Gate spell using the coordinates Lemuel had given him, which would take him to the place where he could complete his Initiate ranking-up mission.

When Anton arrived at the coordinates Lemuel had provided, he knew that he was now in the Xinati wilderness in Huoxi.

Based on what he had learned about the wilderness, it was gigantic.

The main issue was that the resource he was supposed to find—mithril stones laced with spatial energy—had no specific location given in the mission. The only information he had was that they could be found somewhere within the Xinati wilderness.

It would be Anton’s responsibility to find them.

Since the wilderness was enormous, Anton sighed at the futility of trying to find such a rare resource in such a vast area.

The only thing he could think of that might help him was using his summons to search for it.

Thankfully, even though the wolves weren’t actually wolves but some sort of mana construct, they still had the noses of wolves. They also appeared to be more intelligent than actual animals and would obey whatever Anton commanded. That meant they might be able to help him find the mithril.

At least, that was what he hoped.

He summoned all the animal-type summons he had, including the ravens, Poison Creeper, and Oak Sage.

He then retrieved some of the remaining mithril from his inventory and commanded all of his summons except the Grizzly to begin searching.

He planned to ride his bear while his other summons searched for the resource.

Thankfully, the range of his summons had grown extremely large. They could cover a considerable distance before being automatically summoned back to him because of the distance.

Another advantage was that Anton could feel whenever a summon wanted to communicate with him, and he could use their eyes to see whatever they were seeing.

That meant that if one of them found anything, it could immediately inform him, and Anton could inspect the discovery through its eyes.

Once all his summons began searching, Anton set up his tiny tent on top of his Grizzly.

Once it was ready, he placed a Frozen Orb air conditioner inside to ensure that the interior of the small tent remained comfortable.

It was the middle of the day, and the sun was high in the sky. It was so hot that Anton hadn’t stopped perspiring since the moment he arrived in the wilderness.

Once he was inside his tent, he sighed in comfort and began waiting for his summons to complete their search.

Anton’s initial plan was to stay in one place until all of his summons had covered every inch of the surrounding area.

If they still hadn’t found any mithril, he would move on to the next area.

What Anton didn’t know was that if Master Vernatu saw his method of searching for the mithril resource laced with spatial energy, his teacher would probably scold him.

He didn’t realize that the mission was also supposed to test his ability to complete a mission while enduring an extremely harsh environment.

The fact that he was sitting inside a tent made comfortable by soft cushions and pillows, with the interior maintained at a comfortable temperature using one of his magical items, completely defeated the purpose of placing the mission in such an unforgiving environment.

Still, even if Master Vernatu scolded him after discovering what he had done, it would probably only last for a short while.

His teacher would eventually realize that, given Anton’s high rank, it was inevitable that he would use his abilities to make his surroundings as comfortable as possible.
