My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 805: Well, Then I’ll Secretly Let You Win
"You don’t want kids anymore?" He frowned deeply, staring at the woman in front of him whose eyes were blazing red.
She really was ruthless—was she seriously about to go for the kill on him?!
If that kick landed down there, the consequences were unimaginable!
His sudden voice made Summer Shawcross jump; only then did she realize how serious this was. The leg she’d swung out forcibly stopped mid‑air, but because her center of gravity was off, her body tilted and started to fall to the side.
Thankfully, Noah Drexler suddenly reached out and grabbed her by the waist, keeping her from falling.
As soon as she steadied herself on her feet, Summer lowered her head and instinctively glanced at Noah, then let out a breath of relief.
Good thing nothing happened...
Just now she’d wanted so badly to hit him hard that she’d completely lost her sense of proportion, and in the heat of the moment she’d thrown out every move she knew.
Seeing that she’d finally calmed down, Noah’s tightly knitted brows slowly relaxed, and he let go of her waist.
Summer stood properly in front of him, lifted her head to look at him, and couldn’t help asking,
"You spotted me from the start?"
Katherine Irving had said her progress was impressive; even though her movements were still a bit soft, taking down some guy who didn’t know martial arts shouldn’t be much of a problem.
So this time she’d gone for a sneak attack on purpose, thinking that while Noah was completely off guard she could pull it off and feel smug about it.
But she hadn’t expected his reaction to still be that fast—she still couldn’t get close to him at all.
Looking at the frustration written all over her face, Noah lifted an eyebrow and spoke to her in a low voice.
"Next time I won’t dodge." In those dark eyes of his, there was actually a hint of helplessness.
The next time she tried to ambush him, he could choose not to move out of the way.
Hearing that, Summer curled her lip, looking thoroughly unenthused.
"That’s no fun..."
If he went easy on her, what was the point?
Plus, Katherine had said that even though she wasn’t exactly gifted, she picked things up quickly. If she kept training long‑term, maybe in a few years she’d be able to beat Noah Drexler!
Thinking of this, a flicker of anticipation crossed Summer’s face. When that day came, this man wouldn’t dare bully her just because he had the size advantage!
Watching her go from bored to slowly looking excited, Noah actually found it a little amusing.
Summer looked up and caught the completely undisguised smile on his face. She bit her lip and complained,
"You’re laughing at me again!"
Noah only arched a brow, then lowered his head, speaking slowly to her.
"Mm, then I’ll secretly go easy on you."
He promised that next time he held back she wouldn’t be able to tell, so she wouldn’t feel bored!
After all, secretly throwing a match wasn’t exactly a difficult task for him.
As soon as she heard that, Summer was even more speechless. She ground her teeth and said to him,
"I don’t want you to go easy on me. I’m going to beat you fair and square."
At her words, Noah couldn’t help recalling that last move she’d tried to hit him with; his sword‑straight brows tightened at once, knotting tighter and tighter.
After staring at her for a few seconds, he suddenly spoke to her with a very serious expression.
"I’m getting you a different martial arts teacher." His deep voice carried clear displeasure and anger.
What on earth had that Katherine Irving been teaching her?
If she kept letting Katherine train her like this, the consequences would be unthinkable!
He had no intention of letting Katherine turn her into some shrew in the end!
