My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively

Chapter 768: Is It Related to Noah Drexler’s Business?

  • Next Chapter

Summer Shawcross shook her head and had to explain to her.

"Katherine, even if he wanted to hide a woman, there’s no need to hide in such a place."

Even if Noah Drexler wanted to hide a woman, there’s no need to hide her in such a remote place.

And even if he was willing, the woman might not be willing to stay there.

After all, everyone knows that Noah Drexler is not short of money.

Yet, after dismissing Katherine’s idea, Summer Shawcross was still at a loss.

Because she also couldn’t figure out why Noah Drexler would go to such a remote place so late at night.

As she thought about it, she suddenly recalled the small wound on Noah Drexler’s arm a few days ago...

Could there be some connection between these two matters?

What exactly was hidden inside that broken house? Could it be related to Noah Drexler’s business?

As Summer was lost in thought with her phone in hand, Katherine’s voice came through the phone.

"Madam, would you like me to go in and take a look for you?"

"No need. Stay where you are, turn off the car lights, and don’t alert anyone," Summer replied hastily.

"Don’t worry, I’ve already turned off the engine. They won’t notice me," Katherine said confidently.

Hearing this, Summer felt a bit more at ease and continued.

"Wait for me there. I’ll find a way to get out now."

After thinking it through, she felt it would be more reassuring to see for herself.

Although she knew that having someone follow Noah Drexler was indeed not a good thing, and it might make him angry.

But... her unease made her want to find out what was going on.

"Okay, I’ll wait for you," Katherine responded.

Summer didn’t say anything more, hung up the phone, turned on the light, and got out of bed.

She walked to the window, took a look outside, and saw that it was the early hours of the morning when the maids and security guards on duty were dozing off, making everything very quiet.

With that in mind, she quickly exited the bedroom, snuck a set of makeup and her phone with her, and slipped into a storage room on the first floor while no one noticed.

She rummaged through the room and found a maid’s uniform, immediately changing into it there. She then used the makeup she’d brought, applying it step by step to mimic the look that her friend Snow used to do for her.

First, she darkened her face a few shades with a dark foundation, then she used an eyebrow pencil to thicken her eyebrows, and finally, she applied lipstick to make her lips appear fuller.

Once her makeup was complete, Summer looked at herself in her phone’s reflection and was quite satisfied.

Although her makeup skills were nowhere near as good as Snow’s, she managed to pick up some basics, and with the maid uniform as a disguise, it shouldn’t be too difficult to fool the maids and security guards.

After hurriedly preparing, Summer hid the makeup in the storage room and then walked out.

Everything went much smoother than expected. When Summer emerged from the storage room, two maids were sitting nearby dozing off. They simply glanced at her as she passed by, not even bothering to look closely at her face.

Summer successfully exited the villa, crossed the lawn, and reached the gate, only to be stopped by a security guard who refused to let her out.

"It’s not shift change time yet. Where are you going?" The security guard questioned her, treating her like an ordinary maid.
