My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 762: What’s Wrong, Are You in Danger?
However, this situation had never happened before. Unless something major occurred within the corporation, he wouldn’t hurry back so late. After all, even if Noah Drexler doesn’t rest, the employees at the company need to rest. They can’t possibly keep up with him all the time.
Thinking about this, Summer Shawcross vaguely felt something was off. In her mind, an image of the small wound she noticed on Noah Drexler’s arm earlier that evening suddenly surfaced... Somehow, she felt these two things might be connected.
Just as Summer Shawcross was lost in her thoughts, her face growing increasingly concerned, the voice of a servant suddenly sounded beside her.
"Ma’am, would you like me to make a call and ask?"
Hearing the servant’s voice pulled Summer Shawcross back to reality. She turned to glance at her, then shook her head.
"No need to trouble yourself, he probably went out for something," she replied.
Upon hearing this, the servant nodded and kindly said to her, "It’s very late now. You should go upstairs and rest early."
Summer Shawcross nodded, not asking further questions, and then turned to go upstairs.
On her way back to the bedroom, she closed the door behind her. After hesitating for a moment, she went directly to the bedside, picked up the phone from the nightstand, and dialed Katherine Irving’s number.
Katherine Irving lived in Sean Morgan’s house, and Sean Morgan was practically Noah Drexler’s shadow. Logically, he should be with Noah Drexler tonight.
The call rang several times before it was finally answered.
Katherine Irving’s weary voice came through the phone.
"Hello, ma’am... It’s so late, what do you need?"
"Katherine, I have something to ask you," Summer spoke seriously into the phone, inquiring further.
After she finished speaking, there was a two-second silence before Katherine’s slightly tense voice responded to her question.
"What’s wrong, are you in danger?"
"I’m fine..." Summer quickly denied.
"That’s good..." Katherine sighed in relief before asking her, "So what do you need from me?"
"It’s like this, I wanted to ask if Sean is at home right now. Can you check his room?" Summer asked further.
As soon as she finished speaking, Katherine’s straightforward voice came through the phone.
"No need to check, he left at twelve-thirty," Katherine assured.
Upon hearing Katherine’s words, Summer was a little taken aback.
Sean left at twelve-thirty?
Leaving in such a hurry at this late hour didn’t quite seem like it was for business.
"Ma’am, is there something wrong with Sean?" It seemed Katherine became nervous seeing Summer suddenly silent.
Listening to Katherine’s voice over the phone, Summer hesitated for a few seconds before speaking to her again.
"Katherine, can you do me a favor?"
"Of course, ma’am, just let me know what you need. I’m almost as capable as Sean!" Katherine replied enthusiastically.
"Well... do you know how to follow someone?" Summer paused, then continued to ask her.
"Of course! I’ve followed Sean several times in the past. If I hadn’t deliberately left some clues, he wouldn’t even have noticed!" Katherine responded confidently.
Hearing this from Katherine gave Summer some confidence, and she continued to speak to her.
