My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 757: Definitely Something She Would Do
"Where have you been?"
"I went downstairs for a walk after taking a shower," Summer Shawcross answered as she walked towards the sofa.
"A walk?" Noah Drexler listened to her explanation with a hint of suspicion on his face.
He didn’t remember her having a habit of taking a walk after a shower.
Seeing his doubtful expression, Summer Shawcross sighed with a look of helplessness and then smirked.
"Alright... I went to eavesdrop on Sean Morgan and Katherine Irving’s date!"
With that, she sat down next to him.
After hearing her, Noah Drexler’s frown deepened.
"Did you go to cause trouble?"
But now, the suspicion on his face had disappeared completely.
Because this indeed seemed like something she would do...
"Don’t worry, I didn’t disturb them; they seem quite happy together." Seeing his frown, Summer quickly clarified.
With Sean Morgan’s single-minded personality, now that someone is willing to wholeheartedly care for him, of course, she wouldn’t interfere.
Hearing her explanation, Noah Drexler glanced at her but said nothing more, instead throwing the remaining fish feed into the bathtub.
Seeing him feed the fish, Summer Shawcross took a couple of peanuts from the table, opened the hamster’s ’little villa’ door, and tossed them inside.
However, the little furry creature was busy happily running on its new toy wheel, completely oblivious to her offering.
She smirked, feeling a bit bored as she closed the door, her gaze unintentionally landing on the packet of fish feed in his hand.
Just as she was about to reach out and take it from him, Noah Drexler’s deep voice suddenly reminded her, "If you want to overfeed them, go right ahead."
Goldfish have small appetites, and he had already fed them enough.
If she fed them more, those two fish might end up overeaten.
Hearing his words, Summer Shawcross’ hand paused mid-air, and she quickly withdrew it.
Just then, her phone on the nightstand made a sudden sound.
Summer Shawcross got up from the sofa, went to the bedside, picked up her phone from the nightstand, and unlocked it.
A new text message arrived, surprisingly from Zeke Sawyer.
It was an audio file.
Following that, another message popped up.
...
——This is a new song I wrote for you, take a listen and let’s find a suitable time to try it out.
...
Looking at the messages from Zeke Sawyer, Summer felt a bit stunned. So much had happened recently that she almost forgot Zeke had promised to produce two albums for her.
He had already fulfilled half of that promise, leaving just one album remaining...
Back then, she had saved Zeke’s life, and he promised to produce two albums for her. Every song he wrote for her was tailor-made, showcasing the best aspects of her voice.
The last album had undoubtedly solidified her position in the music industry, which was previously questioned.
Now, she was quite a popular female singer, even though she hadn’t appeared in the public eye for several months.
She was indeed very grateful to Zeke Sawyer, but now, somehow, she seemed to lack the energy to focus on the thing she had once loved passionately.
The poison in her body was not yet cleared, and what concerned her more was that Noah Drexler seemed to be hiding something from her...
