She instinctively glanced at Noah Drexler’s arm, but accidentally caught sight of several needle-like puncture wounds on his arm as he rolled up his sleeve.

Her heart suddenly tightened!

Earlier in the garden, when Noah was planting saplings and she was standing on the lawn, she was too far away to notice the small wounds on his arm.

Noticing her unusual gaze, Noah lowered his eyes and glanced at where she was looking, his handsome face showing a slight change in expression.

"Your hand..." Summer Shawcross bit her lip, raised her head to look at him, and asked with concern.

However, Noah’s face remained calm, his thin lips moved slightly as he casually answered.

"I had a bit of a cold these past few days and got a few injections at the hospital."

There was no flaw in his expression or words, but Summer felt something was off.

For some reason, a woman’s intuition told her that Noah seemed to be hiding something from her...

"You caught a cold? Did you take any medicine?" She pretended not to notice and asked him with concern.

"I’m fully recovered now." Noah pressed his thin lips.

Hearing this, Summer nodded and said nothing more, silently changing into her slippers.

...

When Summer came out after her bath, the sun had already set, and it was getting dark.

Noah was still in the bathroom of the guest room next door, showering and hadn’t come out yet.

She ran her fingers through her half-dry hair and went downstairs. She intended to look for Sean Morgan, but after glancing around the first floor, she didn’t see him anywhere.

"Madam, are you looking for something?" The butler came over, curious, noticing her looking around.

"Where’s Sean? Didn’t he come back with Noah?"

Upon hearing her ask about Sean, the butler chuckled.

"Sean... was called away by that girl Katherine Irving, they seem to be on a date outside."

Upon hearing the butler’s words, Summer chuckled and nodded.

"I see."

She said, then turned and walked out of the villa.

Sure enough... not far from the villa entrance, on the lawn, she saw those familiar two figures.

"How is it, isn’t it delicious? Aren’t I amazing?" Katherine’s delighted voice rang out.

She was sitting on the lawn, eagerly watching Sean, who was also seated on the grass, holding a thermos, sipping the soup she had cooked for the first time today.

Watching Katherine’s expectant face, Sean felt conflicted.

"Well... how should I put it..." He sighed, unable to lie because of his conscience, but also unwilling to upset Katherine.

He glanced at Katherine, then at the thermos in his hand, gently expressing his true thoughts.

"It’s not particularly bad."

Hearing his words, Katherine was filled with joy and happily said,

"Really? Then it must be quite good, right?"

"Uh... sort of..." Her reaction surprised Sean, but he reluctantly nodded.

Hearing this, Katherine became even happier.

"Then I’ll make soup for you every day from now on."

"Let’s... maybe not." Sean’s face showed embarrassment.

Just when he was about to refuse her ’kindness,’ he suddenly sensed someone eavesdropping on their conversation.

Turning his head cautiously, he was surprised to see who it was.
