My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 738: He Was Never This Considerate Toward His Subordinates Before
Hearing Summer Shawcross say this, Sean Morgan’s face showed a hint of helplessness. He instinctively turned to look at the handsome man standing beside Summer Shawcross, whose attention was firmly on her, his face devoid of much expression.
"It’s my turn!" This time Summer Shawcross wasn’t so greedy; instead, she set her target on a ceramic mug that was closest to her.
Copying Katherine Irving’s earlier manner, she aimed carefully before tossing the little ring out!
The plastic ring spun in the air, then descended, bypassing the ceramic mug she had her eyes on, and ultimately landed on a keychain adorned with a smiling pom-pom.
Summer Shawcross paused, a bit surprised, but a happy smile still appeared on her face.
"I got it too!" she clapped her hands, even though she didn’t have a habit of using keys.
"You two ladies are amazing!" The shop owner beside them smiled and handed over the keychain and the little bear to Summer Shawcross and Katherine Irving respectively.
Katherine Irving happily took the little bear and handed it to Sean Morgan behind her, who held it for her like an older brother.
Summer Shawcross looked at the keychain in her hand, pursed her lips, and handed it to the man beside her.
But Noah Drexler glanced down at the keychain in her hand, squinted his eyes, and displayed an unmistakable look of disdain on his handsome face.
"Summer Shawcross, I hate pink things!"
The pom-pom on the keychain was pink, a color he couldn’t tolerate on himself at all!
Summer paused, seeing he wouldn’t take it, and had no choice but to turn to Sean Morgan for help, "Sean..."
Just as she was about to stretch out her hand, the previously disdainful Noah Drexler suddenly raised his hand, took the keychain from her, and swiftly stuffed it into the pocket of his trousers.
The expression on his handsome, cool face was calm and indifferent, as if nothing had happened just moments ago.
"..." Watching his actions, Summer Shawcross was stunned, her face full of surprise.
"He’s off work." Noah Drexler glanced at her, then calmly curled his lips, offering a brief explanation.
Hearing him say this, Summer Shawcross didn’t comment, but she couldn’t help but grumble inwardly. He had never seemed so understanding toward his subordinates before. Even though he was off work, holding a keychain didn’t take much effort.
At this moment, Katherine Irving picked up another plastic ring, this time aiming for a small alarm clock.
Sean Morgan sighed and had no choice but to use his eyes to signal to Katherine Irving, implying she should let the lady win...
Katherine Irving noticed and immediately appeared tense, worriedly asking him and turning to blow on his eyes.
"Sean, did you get sand in your eyes? Let me blow it out for you!"
"I’m fine..." Sean Morgan quickly shook his head to deny it and promptly returned to his previously serious and normal expression.
Seeing him back to normal, Katherine Irving was relieved, picked up the plastic ring, and tossed it toward the small alarm clock...
This time, she easily hit the target as well.
"..." Sean Morgan’s face turned a few shades paler, feeling a bit desperate inside. This was one of the reasons he initially refused to let Katherine Irving come to Narsus City.
He was really worried because Katherine Irving’s obliviousness and inability to read people’s expressions could lead to disastrous outcomes from offending the boss!
