My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 735: She’s Getting Bolder!
Seeing his expression of disdain, Summer Shawcross paused. Just as she was about to sigh and say she’d forget about it, the man suddenly pressed his lips together and spoke.
"I’ll take this."
The vendor glanced at the fairy wand in Noah Drexler’s hand and then cheerfully said to him.
"This fairy wand is thirty. Are you buying it for your daughter, sir? Little girls have been really into this lately."
Daughter? Little girls?
Upon hearing the vendor’s words, Noah Drexler first furrowed his brows, glanced at Summer beside him, then narrowed his eyes and slowly curved his thin lips into a smile.
"Yes." He moved his throat, suddenly admitting it, a nuanced smile appearing on his handsome face.
To him, she was indeed still a little girl!
After saying this, he took out his wallet from his pocket and handed a bill to the vendor.
"No need for change."
"Thank you, sir!"
Beside him, Summer was initially shocked by Noah Drexler’s words with the vendor, since they didn’t have a daughter...
It took her several seconds to suddenly realize what was going on.
"Noah Drexler!" She gritted her teeth, unhappily looking at the man beside her.
He actually took advantage of her!
Faced with her dissatisfaction, the man wore an expression of smugness.
Seeing his smug manner, Summer felt unhappy inside. After gritting her teeth, her gaze fell on the boys’ toys on the other side of the stall.
Suddenly, she walked over.
Seeing this, Noah Drexler furrowed his brows, suddenly having a bad premonition.
"Boss, I also want to pick a toy for my son." Summer said with a smile, suddenly addressing the stall vendor.
Summer’s face immediately darkened, her brows tightly furrowed.
Son?!
Well, she’s getting bolder!
"Sure, take a look. See which one your son likes!" The vendor didn’t notice the private contest between the couple, instead speaking warmly with a smile.
Summer stared at the pile of toys for a while, ultimately picking a palm-sized glowing small car, holding it in her hand, then smiled with satisfaction and turned to look at Noah Drexler.
"I’ll take this one. Pay up!"
Noah Drexler furrowed his brows, stared at her for a few seconds, then took out his black wallet again. Just as he was about to pull out money, the vendor waved his hand and said to the two with a smile.
"No need to pay; consider this one a gift for you two. You really are lucky, with both a son and a daughter!"
Upon hearing these words, Noah Drexler paused but didn’t insist on the vendor accepting payment.
It was only then that Summer noticed the black wallet in his hand wasn’t the one she had given him.
Why wasn’t he using the wallet she gave him; did he think the craftsmanship was too poor?
"Ready to head back?" Noah Drexler put away the wallet, glanced at the childish fairy wand glowing in his hand, and couldn’t help but furrow his brow as he asked her.
Upon hearing his words, Summer turned and glanced at the lively bridge, which, besides toys stalls, also had barbecues, and little games like ring toss and balloon popping.
She hadn’t seen such a scene in years.
Summer, holding the small car in one hand, grabbed his hand with the other, leading him towards the other side of the bridge as she spoke.
"It’s quite lively on this bridge; since we’re here, let’s take a stroll."
