My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 725: Just the Two of Them?
Noah Drexler lifted his gaze, glanced at Sean Morgan, and then spoke to him expressionlessly.
"You’re off today. You can get off work now."
Upon hearing Noah’s words, Sean paused for a moment, instinctively turned to look at Summer Shawcross, and then suddenly spoke seriously.
"Boss, I don’t need a day off. Besides, I have some things to report to you."
After Sean finished speaking, Noah was unsurprised by the outcome, with no trace of surprise on his face.
As for Summer... she looked at Sean speechlessly. She previously thought Noah was too harsh on Sean, which was why Sean remained unmarried.
But it turned out Sean was too focused on work, a total workaholic...
"You can go home for today. If there’s anything, we can discuss it over the phone," Noah said seriously to Sean, his lips moving slightly.
Yet Sean showed no sign of appreciating the gesture and insisted on staying at work,
"Boss, there’s no need. I can wait until you’re done. Besides, protecting you is my duty!"
"..." Summer was extremely flushed, and at this moment, she began to feel incredibly sympathetic towards Katherine Irving. To fall for such a headstrong man, she indeed deserved sympathy!
Seeing Sean’s stubborn refusal to leave, Noah’s handsome face finally couldn’t resist showing a hint of irritation!
"Get lost now! Didn’t you hear?!" He shot Sean a fierce glance, cursing impatiently!
It’s this hard just to give him a day off, and does it require him to get angry?!
If Sean didn’t leave soon, Summer might again think he was too harsh on Sean, accusing him of lacking humanity!
Sean was taken aback by Noah’s curse. After staring at him for a few seconds, his expression finally changed. He lowered his head and said,
"Then... boss, I’ll come to find you tonight."
"Get out!" Noah replied disdainfully.
Sean turned and finally left the office.
With Sean finally gone, Noah’s expression softened a bit, and he lowered his gaze to look at Summer Shawcross, deliberately raising his eyebrows as he asked.
"Still think I’m not letting him take time off?"
"..." Faced with Noah’s questioning, Summer shook her head helplessly.
The scene just now left Summer speechless, completely unsure of how to express her thoughts at the moment.
Sure enough, those who stay around Noah Drexler for long tend to have a few quirks...
Seeing her embarrassed silence, there was a hint of satisfaction in the man’s eyes. He picked up the coffee she made on the table and took a sip.
"Noah Drexler, what time are you getting off work today?" Summer glanced at the time on the computer and suddenly asked him.
As soon as her voice sounded, Noah paused, set down the coffee cup in his hand, and suddenly turned his gaze to her, his expression serious yet a bit indulgent as he asked her softly,
"Something else you need from me?"
Since he asked, Summer did not hide anything and nodded, admitting,
"Yes, it’s about dinner time. I made a reservation at a restaurant when I came, and I’d like to go there with you."
Hearing her words, the man’s eyes brightened, abruptly asking with interest,
"Just the two of us?"
His focus was entirely on the fact that she wanted to talk to him at the restaurant, so... just the two of them?
