My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 702: That Petite Woman
She took a deep breath and reached out to wipe the moisture from the corner of her eye.
A bold idea suddenly emerged in her mind.
She wondered if Mr. Drexler would wake up, just like she once did, opening his eyes to return to his youth when he first met Amber...
But she thought, if he truly had a chance to start over, this time, they would surely be happy.
...
Two days later.
Mr. Drexler’s funeral was held at the Drexler Family residence.
At the funeral, many family members who had been estranged due to Noah Drexler’s methods also hurried back.
One reason was to bid farewell to Mr. Drexler, and the other... was for Mr. Drexler’s will.
Everyone knew that Mr. Drexler and Noah Drexler had been at odds for years, and this time, he might not leave the entire Drexler Family to him alone, so Mr. Drexler’s nephews and some cousins naturally wanted to come back to claim a share.
...
In the cemetery on the back hill, the weather was gloomy, shrouded in a layer of mist.
Mr. Drexler’s tombstone stood beside Amber’s, though Noah Drexler initially disagreed with this arrangement, he eventually agreed after thinking about the bracelet in Summer Shawcross’s possession.
Whether his mother loved the old man or not, he didn’t care, but he knew his mother often stared at that bracelet in a daze...
In front of the tombstone, Noah Drexler, dressed in black, held a black umbrella, standing with Summer Shawcross, who wore a black dress, at the forefront of the crowd.
This surprised some of the other relatives of the Drexler Family, as they expected that with Noah Drexler’s arrogant personality, he wouldn’t attend the funeral.
Unexpectedly, this time, he stayed with the Drexler Family to arrange everything for Mr. Drexler’s funeral.
"Achoo..." a sneeze suddenly sounded.
Everyone turned to look at the petite woman beside Noah Drexler.
Summer Shawcross showed a look of embarrassment and instinctively reached up to cover her nose.
"Sorry!" She glanced at Noah Drexler, saying a bit apologetically.
It was probably because the mist was quite heavy, so her nose had been a little itchy, and she couldn’t help but sneeze.
Seeing this, Noah Drexler frowned slightly, then raised his hand to pass the umbrella to Sean Morgan beside him.
Sean Morgan took the umbrella and held it over the two of them. Noah Drexler raised his hand to unbutton his suit, took it off, and draped it over Summer Shawcross before taking back the umbrella from Sean’s hand.
"Let’s go back." He moved his lips, saying softly.
As soon as he spoke, he wrapped his arm around Summer Shawcross’s waist, turning to leave.
Just as the two were only a couple of steps away, a stranger’s voice suddenly came from among the many relatives of the Drexler Family.
"The funeral is over, isn’t it time to announce Uncle’s will?"
Summer Shawcross turned her head to see a young man looking at Noah Drexler.
Upon hearing this, Noah Drexler furrowed his brow, giving the man a cold glance, then looked at the butler beside him.
"Take them to the hall and have the old man’s lawyer come over."
After saying this, he again wrapped his arm around Summer Shawcross, turning gracefully to leave.
"Master Noah, aren’t you going?"
"No." Noah Drexler said coldly, having no interest in the contested inheritance of the Drexler Family.
He despised everything here!
If the old man had handed the Drexler Family over to him, he wouldn’t have kept it; instead, he would destroy it!
If the old man was smart enough to hand the Drexler Family to his relatives, the family might be able to survive a few more years.
