Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure

Chapter 1140 - 1149: Preparing Both Ways

  • Next Chapter

Miles Morgan cheated again, how could Mrs. Monroe not be affected, and how could she willingly accept the fact that he cheated and fell in love with someone else.

After two unsuccessful suicide attempts, Mrs. Monroe goes nowhere and still lives in the Morgan Family residence.

Miles Morgan hasn’t returned, hiding his lover in a luxurious villa elsewhere.

When Anna Morgan returned to the Morgan Family residence, she was already well aware of these things.

Whether it’s due to amnesia or something else, Anna Morgan accepted the fact of Mr. Monroe’s infidelity, thinking only about how to help Mrs. Monroe get the greatest benefit.

Of course, before helping Mrs. Monroe with the divorce, she must first convince her.

Having experienced Miles Morgan’s infidelity and attempted suicide twice, Mrs. Monroe has lost a significant amount of weight, and Anna Morgan went in to see the sorrowful woman lying on the bed, and memories of Mrs. Monroe suddenly flooded back.

This is her mother, her gentle, gracious, and beautiful mother.

"Mom!"

Standing at the door, Anna Morgan called out, Mrs. Monroe snapped out of her thoughts, and upon seeing her, tears streamed down.

"Anna, you’re here."

Anna Morgan went in and sat by Mrs. Monroe’s bedside.

"Where have you been all this time? You seem to have lost weight."

Regarding Anna Morgan’s car accident, Carter Lockwood hasn’t notified Mrs. Monroe.

The Morgan Family today is not the happy family it once was.

Whether to tell or not, doesn’t really matter.

"Mom, you’ve lost weight too." Anna Morgan said with a smile, and Mrs. Monroe’s tears flowed again.

"Anna." Mrs. Monroe tightly grasped Anna’s hand, "Seeing you come makes me happy. Can you help me call your father?"

Miles Morgan’s indifference caused Mrs. Monroe immense heartache.

She wanted to sever everything but lacked the courage.

She used every means, pleading for him to return, even using death to force Miles Morgan back.

Many advised her to divorce; she considered it but ultimately didn’t dare.

"Why call him? Will he come to see you?"

"Mom, he has a beautiful lover now, his lover is pregnant with his son; he won’t come to see you."

"If he really cared, he would have come when you tried to kill yourself before." Anna Morgan’s tone was ice-cold, without an ounce of emotion for Miles Morgan.

Miles Morgan discarded Anna and Mrs. Monroe, and she doesn’t want them either.

"Anna!"

Mrs. Monroe was shocked by what Anna said.

Previously, Anna would curse Miles in front of her but always did so while crying, with resentment and anger hidden in her words.

Nothing like the calm indifference of now.

"Mom!" Anna interrupted, "Give it up."

Her daughter coming and saying this made Mrs. Monroe feel deeply uncomfortable.

"How can you persuade me to divorce your father!"

"He’s your father!"

"Is he still?" Anna retorted.

"What you should be thinking about now is how to get the most benefit from the divorce; Dad has been living outside, probably secretly transferring assets."

"If you keep threatening to die, all the Morgan Family money will be transferred by him, and what you might end up with is just this house."

These are Anna Morgan’s guesses.

But also facts.

"Your dad wouldn’t do that." Mrs. Monroe bit her lip, holding back tears as she spoke.

She still held a glimmer of hope for Miles Morgan, even thinking in her heart that as long as Miles dumped that woman and aborted her child, they could reconcile.

"He would!" Anna said with certainty.

"Mom, you’re not waiting for Dad and that woman to break up, are you."

"Don’t be silly, it’s completely impossible."

"You wait for him to break up, he waits for you to compromise."

Anna continued calmly, "He’s already prepared both plans."
