Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure

Chapter 1127 - 1136: Everyone Thinks It’s Her Fault

"It’s just a drink, what’s the big deal? Stop acting like you’re some kind of Eldest Miss Monroe!"

"Exactly! One glass of wine isn’t going to cost you anything!"

"Look at where you are now, what weight do you think you carry, still daring to be this arrogant."

"Her getting herself in trouble is one thing, she’s going to drag all of us down with her..."

The voices came one after another; as they watched Anna still sitting there, they grew more and more enraged.

Anna was going to get every single one of them killed!

"Anna! Drink it."

Director Lowell was even more furious. He stood up and spoke to Anna in an icy voice.

"Don’t drag us down."

Anna looked at them, amused. "One glass of wine, sure, nothing much if I drink it."

Hearing that, everyone at the table thought Anna had finally been talked into obediently drinking it.

"But that one..."

Anna reached out and picked up the full glass of red wine in front of her. "I’m not feeling well. Why should I drink that?"

As she spoke, she tipped the wine straight onto the floor.

Hearing the splattering sound on the floor, everyone exploded in anger.

Anna was too arrogant. Even without Mr. Monroe’s protection, she still dared to be this arrogant!

"Anna, even if you won’t drink President Fitzgerald’s wine, you didn’t have to pour it out." Zoe Quinn fanned the flames. Anna had barely sat down for a few minutes before she’d managed to piss off President Fitzgerald and the whole crew.

This was basically a death wish!

Heh, she couldn’t get to Serena Sullivan, but a Anna who no longer had The Morgan Family behind her was something she could definitely play with.

"Good! Very good!"

President Fitzgerald was seething. Anna wouldn’t even give him the respect of a single drink, still pretending to be some pure little thing.

Then he might as well go harder tonight, use a few tricks and get her onto his bed.

The more arrogant and wild a woman was, the more of a temptation she was to men like him.

"Someone bring my wine here, let Miss Monroe drink it." President Fitzgerald said to the men stationed at the door.

Whenever he went out for dinner, he liked to carry some "special" wine with him, something he could doctor for girls who didn’t know their place.

President Fitzgerald’s men quickly came in with a glass of wine; two men stood on either side behind Anna.

Anna watched them approach with a cool gaze, then looked at the utterly indifferent faces around the table. She smiled toward Director Lowell across from her. "Director Lowell, this really isn’t appropriate, is it?"

President Fitzgerald’s wine?

Anna wouldn’t even touch the red wine on the table; why would she drink his?

"President Fitzgerald, Anna’s being childish. Just pour her another glass of red wine." Director Lowell was, after all, still wary of The Morgan Family behind Anna.

Even if Mr. Monroe had said he wouldn’t care about Anna anymore and had already found a new lover, this young lady was still the Morgan heiress.

If something really filthy happened, he’d have no way to explain it to The Morgan Family.

"Director Lowell, I just poured her a glass, and she dumped the whole thing on the floor. That’s refusing a toast and preferring forced wine."

"Besides, I’ve met Mr. Monroe before. We chatted a bit about the Eldest Miss Monroe."

"Mr. Monroe said this daughter doesn’t listen, told me to help discipline her a little."

Half of what President Fitzgerald said was true, half was made up.

The true part was that he had just met Mr. Monroe and, in passing, brought up Anna.

From Mr. Monroe’s expression and his words, it was clear he held a strong grudge against this daughter.

The false part was that he’d actually met someone else, and that person said Mr. Monroe, because of Mrs. Monroe, was utterly disappointed in his pair of children.

If something really happened out there, Mr. Monroe might well turn a blind eye.

With that person’s assurance, President Fitzgerald dared to be this bold, forcing wine on Anna.

"Director Lowell, we’d better stay out of things that aren’t ours to meddle in."
