Joseph Lancaster felt that the most shameless person he had ever met in his life was the one in front of him. Despite how he had treated her, she still shamelessly stayed at his house.

He had never judged people by their appearance, but at this moment he realized that some people’s appearance truly reflects their heart.

Like this one in front of him: a flat nose, nostrils facing upwards, thick lips, a broad face that looks like a pancake sprinkled with sesame seeds... Just looking at her is enough to ruin one’s appetite.

Joseph Lancaster didn’t come in, holding back his anger, and said coldly, "Put on your shoes and come with me."

Lucy Zimmerman was startled for a moment, then immediately showed surprise, "Brother Joseph, are you taking me for a walk?"

"Stop the nonsense! Come out!"

Joseph Lancaster turned and walked out, seemingly unwilling to take another look at Lucy Zimmerman.

"Hey, I’m coming, I’m coming, what’s the rush, Brother Joseph? How could you invite someone for a walk like this? Your attitude isn’t good at all!"

Lucy Zimmerman mumbled while putting on her shoes. Once done, she quickly ran out.

"Brother Joseph, where are you taking me?" Joseph Lancaster walked fast, so Lucy Zimmerman had to trot along after him, tilting her head and grinning at Joseph Lancaster.

Joseph Lancaster didn’t speak, striding forward, hands in the pockets of his suit trousers, with a wool coat over his suit. It was a chilly early winter night, and the wool coat kept the wind away.

Violet Zimmerman hurried out without wearing a coat, hugged her shoulders and shivered, "So cold." Then she continued to trot alongside Joseph Lancaster.

"Brother Joseph, say something. Why aren’t you talking? It’s so boring with just me chattering away!"

Joseph Lancaster turned his cold eye briefly to her, "I’ll drive you for a spin later."

"Wow! Really?" Lucy Zimmerman looked surprised and excitedly grabbed Joseph Lancaster’s arm.

"Brother Joseph, where are we driving to? Are we going to watch a movie?"

Joseph Lancaster glanced at her again without speaking, withdrew his arm, and quickened his pace.

Violet Zimmerman stood there watching Joseph Lancaster’s back, wrinkled her nose and muttered to herself, "Pretending to be shy!"

After saying that, she chased after him again, "Brother Joseph, wait for me!"

...

Daxton Lancaster sat alone in the study with a mountain of cigarette butts in front of him.

He hadn’t smoked much before, but learned after marriage.

He knew what he had done last night was hurtful, but he hadn’t expected Violet Zimmerman to quietly go back to her parents’ house, leaving her foolish relatives to him.

He couldn’t understand what this woman was thinking. Even if Daxton Lancaster were desperate for women, he wouldn’t go for an ugly freak!

Exhaling smoke out of his mouth, Daxton Lancaster leaned forward and pressed the half-smoked cigarette into the ashtray.

He had already made arrangements to go to F City the next morning to bring his wife back, and also to return that foolish relative.

...

"Hey? Brother Joseph, where are we going? It seems like we’re heading back to F City?"

Sitting in the back seat, Lucy Zimmerman grabbed the front seat and wrinkled her caterpillar brows, looking at the night outside.

Joseph Lancaster was anxious, driving at top speed, and in less than an hour, his black Hongqi sedan had exited T City.

There’s only one road between T City and F City: asphalt in the city area, and dirt with bumps and turns through the suburbs. Though it was her first time in T City, Lucy Zimmerman remembered this road.

"We’re going to F City." Joseph Lancaster stared expressionlessly ahead.

On either side of the road were tall mountains, dense forests on the slopes, and occasionally unknown animals made noises that were haunting in the quiet night.

Lucy Zimmerman tucked her sweater collar down and hugged herself tighter, asking with a mournful expression, "Brother Joseph, why are we heading back to F City in the dark?"

"You’ll find out when we get there." Worried that this airhead might change her mind, Joseph Lancaster spoke cryptically on purpose.

Lucy Zimmerman frowned thoughtfully, then suddenly leaned forward again, tilting her head as she looked at Joseph Lancaster who was focused on driving, asking excitedly, "Brother Joseph, are you taking me back to propose to my family?"

Joseph Lancaster sneered inwardly, wondering where this tigress got her confidence from. Proposing to her family—ha, he didn’t know if she was overly self-aware or if his way of expressing was misunderstood.

But none of this mattered. What was important now was needing this tigress to guide him to the Zimmerman Family.

Not hearing Joseph Lancaster speak, Lucy Zimmerman tugged at the front seat, grinning as she asked, "Brother Joseph, is that so? Just tell me, there’s no one else here, just the two of us, what’s there to be shy about!"

Joseph Lancaster chuckled, "You’ll know when we get there."

"Sneaky, trying mind games with me!" Lucy Zimmerman blurted mismatched words, leaning back in her seat.

After leaning back, she quickly leaned forward again, "Brother Joseph, let me sit in the front. It’s more convenient for us to chat."

Seeing Lucy Zimmerman already extending a large foot over, Joseph Lancaster’s face instantly turned grim.

"Sit back, do you want to risk your life!"

"Oh come on, you drive your way, I cross mine; there aren’t any other cars on the road!" Lucy Zimmerman impatiently rambled, already halfway over with her squat leg. Joseph Lancaster’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he suddenly jerked the steering wheel sharply to the side, then immediately back again.

"Ah..." Lucy Zimmerman exclaimed, getting stuck between the driver’s seat and the front passenger seat, her bottom hitting the ground.

"Behave or I’ll toss you out!" Joseph Lancaster’s icy threat was colder than the cold night outside.

"Honestly, you don’t know a bit about romance." Violet Zimmerman muttered while rubbing her butt before sitting back down. Seeing Joseph Lancaster ignoring her, she huffed coldly and turned her face away.

Forty minutes later, Joseph Lancaster’s car had entered F City’s realm.

Looking at the street ahead, Joseph Lancaster asked coldly, "How do we get to your aunt’s place?"

Lucy Zimmerman was still sulking, turned her face to the other side, "I don’t know!"
