Joseph Lancaster’s words sounded like an explanation, more like he was desperately trying to distance himself from their relationship, with a tone of reluctance, as if his daughter took the initiative to get close to him.

"In-laws, Emily won’t be going back with you today, tomorrow she’ll go to the company with Joseph. Joseph has just taken over the company and needs manpower, so let’s not go back and forth."

The group headed towards the residence of the old master, splitting into three pairs.

Bodhi Lancaster and Augustus Zimmerman walked at the forefront, discussing work-related matters as they walked.

Isabella Fletcher deliberately slowed down with her daughter, the mother and daughter linked arms, speaking in hushed tones.

"Emily, be mindful of your conduct in the future. The Lancaster Family isn’t just any ordinary family. If you and Joseph have an early relationship, they will look down on you."

"Mom, I know," Emily Zimmerman replied impatiently.

Isabella Fletcher was still not reassured and continued her warnings, "Also, get along well with Joseph’s family, don’t act spoilt like you do at home..."
