Chapter 4419: Dinner With Friends
Chapter 4419: Dinner With Friends
"It smells delicious," I said, looking at the dishes she was cooking.
"I could teach you, you know. Cooking is more useful than you realise," she offered, and it isn’t the first time she has. "Runes and artifice already take up too much of my time; I don’t want to do anything else," I replied.
Besides, I am very bad at it. I would rather eat the food made by others’ hands than cook for myself." I added.
To that, she shook her head. "You will not be able to eat such delicious food outside," she said. To that, I grinned. "Don’t worry, I already got years of supply from the chefs, and they have promised me more," I replied.
She rolled her eyes at that, but didn’t say anything further on the subject.
"How is the work on the design? I heard from Prime Garil and others that over eighty percent of the work had been finished," asked Prime Avana.
"Yes. In half a year, we will be fully finished with it," I replied. Hearing that, she sighed.
"I don’t want to hope, but here I am imagining what life outside would be."
"Whether I will be able to adjust to it or not, or the things I will do, after we reach the world," said Avana, with her eyes filled with questions and hope.
"We had discussed a few things, and one of the things we are going to do is travel around the world, since there are no organisations binding us," said Prime Rava.
Prime Avana was Prime when she entered the realm, but her organisation had merged with another Prime after suffering losses.
She already indicated that she might not be rejoining it. As for Prime Rava’s organisation, I didn’t even hear about it; there was no mention of it in the vast information I have.
It was an Earth Sovereign organisation.
Such organisations form and disappear in millennia, not to mention that there is no loyalty she feels toward them.
She was an independent adventurer before she joined the organisation, and less than a year after that, she had ended up here.
"That’s a good choice. With your strength, there will be very few Prime’s that could harm you," I said.
Both of them have incredible strength. They are stronger than most Peak Primes, especially Prime Rava. She was originally a fighter and became a healer after coming here.
She is one of the strongest people here, in this realm.
Both of them would advance fast. It won’t take more than a few decades for them to reach the peak of Prime before they can start working toward Silver Prime.
It’s very hard to advance to Silver Prime, but they already have most of the important things for it.
The laws.
They also have another thing: mental stability. This place challenges one. It had made many mad, and I could see madness appearing in the eyes of many residents of the village now, and them.
These two are among the most mentally stable people in the village.
Finally, the dinner is finished and she laid it out on the table.
"I have a good feeling about this wine; I hope it’s as good as the last one," said Prime Avana and opened the bottle before pouring it into three glasses.
Clinked!
"To a good life," toasted Prime Rava, and we clinked the glasses.
"Mmm, its good," said Prime Avana as she took the sip. "It really is," added Prime Rava.
"Thank you; I got it from the cultist," I replied, and they smiled. Understanding how I had gotten it.
I ate the food, and it was amazing as always. Prime Rava is a great cook as good as those chefs.
It would have helped me tremendously with culinary skills if I could learn from her, but unfortunately, I couldn’t, no matter how much I wanted to.
I wish the amazing forbidden power didn’t come with a cost, but in life, there is always a price to be paid.
Forbidden power is incredible. Yes, it is making people hunt me for it, but I wouldn’t change the things. It is because of it that I am alive, and at a level, I am.
"The village will soon be sending another party to get the resources you need. I will be joining them," said Prime Avana.
"You are going to Thistle Forest?" I asked. "Yes," she replied. That is cultists’ territory; the village forbids going there.
"It will be risky," I said, and she nodded. We have a truce with the cultists, and they are helping us with resources and other things, but we cannot truly believe them.
"I will be careful," she assured, taking Prime Rava’s hands in hers.
The rest of the dinner went smoothly, with lighter topics.
"It was a wonderful dinner. Thank you for inviting me," I said once more after we finished the dinner.
"You are welcome anytime," she replied.
I stayed for nearly an hour before I walked out of the cottage. Feeling relaxed.
I walked toward my cottage, but didn’t enter it. Instead, I flew to the roof and lay on it, looking at the stars.
They are the same stars that appeared in the world—making one feel so close, but so distant from it. I come here now and then; it helps me focus.
I am very close to my goal. It could be said that I am nearly finished, but still not finished.
The important part remained, and I need resources for it. The village is helping, but they couldn’t help with blue-sartil; I will have to get that myself.
I am going to.
I didn’t plan to tell the village, or they would not let me leave.
This time, I will be more prepared not just with the power, but also with methods, tools, and formations. I have got a lot of data from last time and I have analysed every bit.
Creating things that will help me get what I want.
I stayed on the roof for fifteen minutes before coming down and walking into the cottage. I didn’t enter my core or work, I lay on the bed and closed my eyes to sleep.
Tomorrow is a big day for me. I will need all the rest to succeed.
