Chapter 4418: Inheritance Finished

Chapter 4418: Inheritance Finished

Days turned into weeks and weeks into months, before I knew it, over one and a half years had passed since the rift.

Now, I have one to two years before the rift appears, and I am nearly finished with the work.

Ninety-nine percent of the design is finished, and eighty-five percent of the work is complete. The rest is hard, but I shouldn’t have a problem finishing it in time, as long as I have the resources I need.

I have got a lot of resources from the village and the cultists, but more is needed.

Especially Blue-Sartil. I had quite a lot of it, but it’s nearly finished. Including the ones given by the cultist, they gave it three times.

Twice, they had gone to the violet zone, but what they could bring out was pitiful.

Even the most powerful couldn’t bring much. It’s very hard to find it when you can’t even use the soul. Even the most powerful in the realm are powerless against it.

I pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the inheritance before me.

I had finished the inheritance; this is the check to find any flaws. The third one, which I will finish today, will be ready to make a breakthrough.

It took some time, but I was able to finish it.

I would have been able to finish it sooner, if not for all the other work, I had been doing. It didn’t matter, I had finished it, and I am going to make a breakthrough soon.

I had already informed them that I would be going out. As always, they were resistant to the idea, but after being insistent, they are letting me.

I had made preparations; every few months, I would go out for a week or two.

I would stay close, but this time, I didn’t plan to. I have places to go and stuff to get. Before I do that, I have to make the breakthrough.

I didn’t forget what I had to do last time to survive. This time, I might not be lucky.

I need to make a breakthrough. Only that will increase my chances of survivability.

Hours passed, and I kept working on the inheritance. Checking formation after formation, with my clones.

For the first time, all my clones are helping me with it. I needed all of them to finish this process as soon as possible, and clones are good at it.

It was late afternoon when I had finished the last check. I didn’t find even a single flaw at the last check, but it is a necessary process.

"I wish I could make a breakthrough now," I said to myself. I will do it tomorrow.

All the preparations have been made. I have reached the limit of my body and forbidden power. I had also collected and refined all the resources I would need for the breakthrough.

The inheritance is also finished.

Now, all I need is a safe place to make a breakthrough without any disturbance.

I will get that after I leave the town tomorrow.

I didn’t leave the core as I finished, nor did I even go to the library. I rested for a while before opening the books and studying them.

I have nearly finished designing the core, except for a small part. It may be small, but it will play a big part.

It is related to the last stage, where I will send people out in the real world, but the problem is. The rift isn’t unstable; every second, it connects with a new place.

For that second, I need the position to be stable. I would have liked to make the whole rift stable, but that is beyond me.

I am focusing on that small part, but it’s not easy.

I might be able to make it strong enough to bear the spatial storm. If I couldn’t send people out safely, it’s all going to be useless.

I read a lot of books for ideas, and I got some, but they are not concrete enough.

So, I will keep studying till I find one in them or think it out myself.

I continued till eight, before I finally walked out of the library and opened my eyes. I had skipped lunch, and I don’t want to skip dinner as well.

Especially when I am invited, it is one of the things I look forward to every month.

I freshened up and changed before I walked out of my cottage, and once more, felt that same gaze.

Even after so much time, I didn’t get used to them, but I could now bear them.

Knock!

Thankfully, I didn’t have to walk far and, in seconds, reached the cottage next to mine, before knocking on their door.

Click!

The next moment, the door opened to reveal a woman wearing a beautiful champagne-coloured dress. She is looking beautiful.

"I thought you forgot it," said Prime Avana. "Of course, not," I replied, and a bottle of wine appeared in my hands.

I wish I could give them nectar, but it’s too risky. So, I gave them the next best things I have. It’s not nectar, but it’s very good.

I have only a few bottles of it.

"You are a proper guest," she said as she took the bottle from my hand. "I try," I replied with a smile and entered inside.

"You didn’t have to bring anything, Arys," said Prime Rava behind the kitchen counter. "Oh, hush. It is for which we invite him to the dinner every month."

"He has the nicest things," replied Avana.

We have become quite close in the past year, to the point that they invite me for dinner every month.

I wish I could reciprocate. I have a few recipes that will impress them, but for the same reason as nectar, I couldn’t do it.

I hate it, but I need to do these things for my survival. I cannot afford to slip up. Even for a minute, because if I found out, the consequences would be dire.

"Thank you for inviting me, Rava, Avana," I said to them as I sat in front of her.

"You do not have to thank us every time, Arys," said Rava, but I only smiled.

I am more grateful than they realise. These invitation helps me a lot. Keep me stable, from spiralling into bouts of loneliness.
