Miss Witch, It's Time to Clean the Entries
Chapter 77 - 73: It’s That Matter, and I Can’t Wait Any Longer
Chapter 77: Chapter 73: It’s That Matter, and I Can’t Wait Any Longer
Lian led the balding elite Guards and quietly snuck near the Goblin village.
In the carriage lay a group of Corpse Monsters, dazed from the cold. The Ice and Snow on their bodies was melting, but it would take at least an hour or two for them to regain their mobility.
To avoid having their human scent detected by the Goblins, Lian and the Guards smeared mud all over their bodies.
Outside the Goblin village, a vast sea of purple flowers was planted. It looked exceptionally beautiful under the afterglow of the setting sun. A gentle breeze carried their fragrant scent.
If this place existed in Lian’s era, it would have become another internet-famous photo spot.
However, these flower fields weren’t for aesthetics; they were planted entirely with Mugwort.
Corpse Monsters despised this scent and would usually turn away upon smelling it from a distance.
The feeling was probably similar to a human smelling feces.
But this Mugwort wasn’t foolproof. On the contrary, one only needed to use the corrosive Venom from a Corpse Monster’s body to make the Mugwort wither rapidly.
Lian tossed two Corpse Monsters into the Mugwort field and let them roll around a few times, and the entire field of flowers withered completely.
In addition, the Goblins had set up numerous traps. If not for Lian’s incredibly sharp hearing and sense of smell, the elite Guards would have likely suffered.
The closer they got to the Goblin village, the more frequent the traps became.
Relying on the acuity of a Four-star Shadow Knight, Lian cleared 32 traps for the team as if playing Minesweeper. Without destroying the traps, he found a safe path and even managed to grab a couple of patrolling Goblins along the way.
The carriage was parked in a hidden cave, and Robson and the others carried all the dazed Corpse Monsters out.
The two previously captured patrol Goblins were dismembered and fed into the gaping maws of the Corpse Monsters.
All that was left was to leave quietly and wait for events to unfold.
Back at the camp, Lian took a hot bath and sat comfortably in his tent, waiting for Father Simo and Sister Sally.
That evening, Father Simo and Sister Sally were invited into his main tent.
Simo’s eyes were bloodshot, and the dark circles under them seemed even heavier. The large number of injured Guards had invisibly increased his workload.
"Lord Lian, did you summon us for *that* matter?"
Simo asked.
Lian nodded slightly. "Yes, exactly that. I can’t wait any longer."
"Very well."
Simo turned his head to the side, looking at the beautiful Succubus Nun, Sally.
Sally winked at Lian.
"My Lord, please lie down."
"?"
"*That* matter needs to be done on the bed."
Sally covered her mouth with a light laugh and walked to Lian’s side.
’This Succubus seems a little improper,’ Lian thought, ’but she probably wouldn’t do anything too outrageous in front of Simo.’
’Besides, Sophie is in the tent too.’
’She wouldn’t just act like no one else was here, right?’
Putting a stop to his wild thoughts, Lian lay down on the soft, large bed.
Sally blew a puff of pink mist at Lian.
Lian’s eyelids suddenly felt heavy. Within two breaths, he had fallen asleep.
The Succubus Sally entered Lian’s dream.
When Lian opened his eyes, he saw the Succubus Sally lying beside him, their clothes in disarray.
Sally smiled at Lian. "Good morning, my Lord."
"Mm, Sally, this is a dream, isn’t it?"
Lian calmly sat up, seemingly not at all fazed by Sally’s prank.
Sally looked at Lian in surprise. "How did you know? Most people don’t realize it the first time they enter the Dream World. Simo’s reaction was completely different from yours."
Sally recalled the sight of Simo blushing beet red when she had teased him, and she couldn’t help but chuckle.
Lian, on the other hand, seemed far too calm.
Sally didn’t know how many gigabytes Lian had on his hard drives. What kind of beauty hadn’t entered his dreams in a similar state?
He had long since cultivated the Unbreakable heart of a sage and wouldn’t be flustered by a small scene like this.
Plus, the absence of the key figure, Sophie, in the tent immediately made Lian realize something was wrong.
Since it was a dream, Lian didn’t even bother getting dressed and said directly,
"Let’s start. What do I need to do to remove the heretic’s aura from me?"
Seeing Lian get straight to the point, Sally instantly lost interest in toying with him.
"It’s not removing it, it’s hiding it. And it needs to be hidden again every so often."
Sally said as she climbed out of bed.
"Oh? So how do I hide it?"
Lian got out of bed as well.
"In your own Dream World, you need to find a Dream Sleep Flower. The juice of this flower can hide your aura, so no one will be able to detect whether you’re a heretic or not."
Sally said.
"Can it even deceive gods?"
Lian asked.
"That I don’t know. I just know this is how I’ve always helped Simo, and he’s never been discovered."
Sally shrugged.
Lian nodded slightly. "Is this flower easy to find?"
"It might be difficult for other Succubi, but I help Simo find it often, so it’s not a problem for me."
Sally said confidently, "For someone like you, your Dream World can’t possibly be more dangerous than Simo’s, right?"
The two of them walked out of the tent. Outside wasn’t the Bone Forest camp, but a dilapidated forest of steel.
The place looked like a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Abandoned skyscrapers were covered with green plants, and rust-spotted train tracks were blanketed in dust.
The scene felt both novel and utterly strange to Sally.
"Where is this?"
Sally asked.
’Isn’t this fucking map from the zombie apocalypse game I used to play?’ Lian suddenly had a bad feeling.
’My own Dream World is a little too fucked up, isn’t it?’
’Don’t tell me I have to find the Dream Sleep Flower among a horde of zombies?’
Just as he was thinking this, a gust of wind blew past.
A head went ROLLING and came to a stop at Sally’s feet.
Sally jumped in fright, but that wasn’t the most terrifying part.
Decaying heads suddenly poked out from the abandoned buildings. They slowly split their mouths wide to their ears and let out bone-chilling laughter.
Sally swallowed hard. She had seen Corpse Monsters, Skeleton Monsters, Goblins, and Tree Monsters, Slimes and goblins, Vampires and Mummies, but she had never seen humans that looked like this.
To be precise, were they even human anymore?
The unknown is the true source of fear. Because Sally had never seen zombies designed with the meticulous thought and high-level aesthetics of modern humans, she was terrified.
In comparison, Lian felt that Corpse Monsters were more terrifying than these zombies.
The zombies leaped out of the buildings with astonishing speed, landing on all fours and charging toward Sally and Lian.
Lian was about to test if his One-Sword Style could annihilate these game zombies when he realized he wasn’t wearing any clothes and didn’t have any weapons.
He turned and fled, and Sally could only follow close behind.
’This stage is all about running! I have to get to the other side of the river to get weapons!’
"Why is your Dream World so abnormal?"
Sally asked with a tearful face. She was a Succubus who wasn’t good at fighting, not even in dreams.
"Forgive me for having an imagination that transcends this era. This kind of dream is a perfectly normal dream for me. Trust me, once we get to the other side of the river, we’ll be safe."
"Where is the river?"
"We have to go through the Reincarnation Amusement Park, the Ninth Hospital, the City Square, the Internet Communication Tower, the Sugar Madness Hospital, and the Happiness District up ahead, then run another 5 kilometers, and we’ll see the river. Trust me, I know this map well."
Sally suddenly regretted it deeply. Why did she agree to help Simo hide Lian’s aura?
This Lian... he was truly the heretic of all heretics!
