Miss Witch, It's Time to Clean the Entries
Chapter 119 - 104: Dense Red Entries (Part 2)
Chapter 119: Chapter 104: Dense Red Entries (Part 2)
Lian spoke, then stomped down hard. With a tremendous RUMBLE and the sound of a collapsing spire, the three of them fell from the church roof into the building below.
The Priests and Knights remained outside, with no intention of advancing further.
The exception was Knight Kage Mori, but just as he was about to push open the church doors, Catherine’s voice stopped him.
"Lord Kage, please help me by guarding the door from the outside."
Catherine said.
Knight Kage Mori frowned, standing solemnly at the entrance.
Hickman shot the Old Knight a displeased look. "What are they doing in there? Don’t tell me they’re having a final farewell with Dora?"
"Miss Catherine grew up with Miss Dora. They share a deep bond. Even if it is a farewell, there is nothing wrong with that."
Knight Kage Mori said.
"Hah, of course. As long as she dies in there and doesn’t blame us, that’s fine."
Hickman said coldly.
In his eyes, Catherine was just wasting everyone’s time. This was something that could have been resolved long ago, but she insisted on dragging it out. It was just a Witch who had lost control of her Magic—was she supposed to be treated like a person? She was clearly a monster already.
The two Priests also remained silent, waiting quietly outside the church.
"Catherine, don’t worry about me anymore. I’ve completed my final mission. Just let me go."
Dora said, fighting through the pain. Her body was constantly suffering from the Erosion of Magic.
"Dora, don’t give up! Believe in Lord Lian! He can really save you!"
Catherine said through gritted teeth.
"A Witch who has lost control of her Magic... no one can save me. I’m already trying my best to hold back. I can’t maintain this for much longer. In the next second, I could very well explode, becoming a cloud of fatal virus that will worsen the contamination here."
Dora gave a bitter smile.
"Dora, Lord Lian can cure Witches who have lost control of their Magic."
Catherine thought of Sophie and spoke with absolute conviction.
When Catherine was in the Green Shade Territory, she had her Maid gather information on Sophie. Combining that information with her own firsthand experience, Catherine had reached a terrifying conclusion.
Lian could save Witches who had lost control of their Magic.
Although Lian had never told her this, she didn’t dare tell this secret to anyone.
But she had always hoped to bring Lian back to the Blue Moon Territory. If she was lucky and Dora was still alive, perhaps he could save Dora.
As it turned out, her luck really had gotten better.
Dora hadn’t died. She had been waiting for her to arrive.
Hearing Catherine’s words, Dora’s eyes filled with disbelief.
’It’s impossible for someone who can save a Witch who has lost control of her Magic to exist in this world.’
She felt that Catherine must be talking in her sleep, or that this was all just a strange dream she was having.
"So I didn’t wait for you after all, Catherine. I’m so groggy, it’s easy to be affected by Nightmares."
Dora muttered to herself.
Lian rubbed the bridge of his nose. He decided to let the two sisters have their heart-to-heart later.
’What time is it for this? Saving her life is the most important thing right now.’
"Chat time’s over. Let’s get down to business."
Lian first cleansed the [Severe Infection] Entry from the weakened Catherine, restoring her spirits. He then sent her out of the church and back to the protection of the Priests to prevent her from being infected by the red mist again.
Next came Dora’s treatment.
With the protection of the Golden Goddess Solaya, Lian was unaffected by the virus leaking from Dora.
Lian had Solaya’s Spirit release a cage of vines to restrain Dora’s limbs. This was to prevent her from moving around, as she was currently a high-risk individual.
Lian then took out an anesthetic made from the sap of the Golden Tree and gave Dora a shot.
Unfortunately, such a small dose was completely useless against a Witch.
To save on anesthetic, Lian could only go through the motions.
Afterward, Lian began to clean Dora’s Entries.
It was the first time Lian had seen so many red Entries on a single person. The first one he had to clean was Dora’s [Magic Loss of Control] Entry.
With the Speed of a Five-star Light and Shadow Knight, he could strike even Miss Witch’s Entry dead-on in a single blow.
The moment Lian grabbed the red Entry, his consciousness was pulled into Dora’s Illusion Realm.
Just like Sophie, Dora had been baptized by the Church in her youth. The Church taught her how to control and use her Magic Power, and she resolved to become a glorious Guardian Witch.
However, what made Dora different from other Witches was that she was a lively and cheerful Witch.
She loved to dance, to sing, to paint, and she loved everything about life.
A change in the Guardian Bureau led to Dora entering the Church.
She became the Church’s High Tower Witch and signed a contract to help the Blue Moon Territory guard the High Wall.
Dora met Catherine and taught the pessimistic, world-weary girl the meaning of being alive.
Dora would take Catherine to sing, dance, and paint. She would tell her about all the interesting things that happened outside the High Tower. In Catherine’s heart, Dora was like a warm ray of sunshine.
Even Lian, watching this, felt she was like a beam of sunlight capable of Healing all illnesses.
She was a Witch who knew how to warm people’s hearts.
Even if her codename was the Disease Witch.
She wasn’t reclusive or strange; she always brought joy and laughter to others.
Even though most people in the Blue Moon Territory were afraid of her, she never paid any mind to their fearful gazes.
At the end of the vision, Lian once again saw the projection of the God of Tiger.
An indescribable phantom composed of countless Entries.
It watched Lian calmly, as if waiting for him to ask a question.
"Great God of Tiger, I believe you don’t wish to see such a wonderful girl break down because she cannot bear your Power, do you? I wish to save her in your stead."
Lian said humbly.
After several negotiations with Superiors, Lian had mastered the art of words.
’Although in his heart he really wanted to ask, ’Tiger, why do you make these innocent girls bear such a heavy fate? Can’t you just pick some burly men to channel Magic Power into?’’
But reason told him that this was a question he absolutely could not ask aloud.
’Who are you, a mere mortal, to question the decision of a god?’
’I like playing female characters, is that a crime?’
As Lian was cursing internally, his body was suddenly strung upside down by chains of Entries, turning him into the Hanged Man.
"Great God of Tiger, your devout Silver Believer assures you that I will obey your will and help rescue these Witches who have lost control of their Magic, so they may continue to protect your Believers."
The chains of Entries retracted.
Lian tried his best not to let his thoughts run wild, suspecting that even the god’s phantom could see what was on his mind.
[To become a Silver Believer in such a short time... you surprise me.]
The Entries formed this sentence.
After Lian stopped his internal grumbling, the projection of Tiger finally deigned to communicate with him.
Lian breathed a sigh of relief and said confidently,
"Yes. I told you I would become your youngest Golden Child."
[Golden Goddess]
The Entries formed these two words, followed by a large question mark.
Seeing the question mark from the God of Tiger, the corner of Lian’s mouth twitched.
"I have subdued the Spirit of the Forest Solaya. She is now my subordinate. Since I am your devout Believer, she is naturally your Believer as well."
[Her domain is luck and fortune]
The Entries changed again.
Lian swallowed hard.
’I was just spouting nonsense back then. Don’t tell me this makes me suspected of trying to usurp the God of Tiger’s domain?’
"If you feel it’s inappropriate, we can discuss changing it."
[I think it’s fine.]
The God of Tiger’s reply gave Lian a surreal sense of absurdity.
’Am I really chatting with a god?’
’What does "It thinks it’s fine" even mean?’
’Could it be that luck and fortune weren’t part of the God of Tiger’s domain to begin with?’
Lian did his best to restrain himself from overthinking it.
The God of Tiger also seemed to lose the desire to continue the conversation. After forming a pair of eyes that studied Lian for a moment, it vanished.
Lian’s consciousness returned to his body, and at the same time, he shattered Dora’s [Magic Loss of Control] Entry.
Dora only felt her magic channels being invaded, cleansed, and sorted.
A Power belonging to Lian slithered through her magic channels like a serpent, clearing out the excess, dissipated Magic Power.
Dora’s body began to twitch, but it was no longer breaking down.
Outside the church, everyone heard the bloodcurdling scream of Witch Dora.
