Chapter 3205: Chapter 1082: Battle Against the Factions (Part 2)

However, theoretically speaking, those forces did indeed have Hope of pushing Zhou Tian back, but the moment they actually clashed with Zhou Tian and the fire started, those forces very quickly realized that this Enemies was vastly different from what they had originally imagined, and judging from Zhou Tian’s Performance at the time, it didn’t seem like taking Zhou Tian down would be anything easy.

"Meet the fight head-on!"

Without any hesitation, at that time, when those forces thought that in a frontal Combat the Heavenly Eye Users under Zhou Tian wouldn’t be able to match their own side’s Opponent, a group of forces that didn’t want the region they lived in to be ravaged by war fire naturally made the Defense Decision immediately to go out and meet the fight.

Under normal circumstances, since those forces were not afraid of the Heavenly Eye Users under Zhou Tian in a frontal Combat, they would have been fully capable of crushing Zhou Tian’s Heavenly Eye Users. So with things as they were then, if they went straight up to face Zhou Tian’s Heavenly Eye Users head-on, chances were that they might very well crush Zhou Tian’s Heavenly Eye Users in one stroke.

It’s just that, on the surface their thinking sounded quite reasonable, but if Zhou Tian were really that easy to handle, if in a frontal Combat his Heavenly Eye Users had no Ability to Win, then given Zhou Tian’s situation, it didn’t seem like he would have any reason to just send his Heavenly Eye Users to die like that for nothing!

Unfortunately, those forces at the time didn’t think that far. In their eyes, since Zhou Tian had chosen to seek death, then all they needed to do was rely on their own Strength to crush him.

But in the end, just when the High Levels of those forces were convinced they would soon crush Zhou Tian’s Heavenly Eye Users, once both sides actually opened fire, the outcome turned out to be completely different from what they had imagined.

"How is this possible?"

Based on their thinking at the time, those forces chose to go head-to-head with Zhou Tian’s Heavenly Eye Users. Yet right when they believed their own side would quickly crush the Enemy Side, the real situation was that shortly after the clash began, the Heavenly Eye Users they had sent out were directly defeated by Zhou Tian’s Heavenly Eye Users.

They had thought they were certain to Win, but the result of the clash turned out to be the exact opposite of what they expected. To say those forces didn’t have extra thoughts about it at the time would be impossible.

Sadly, even though those forces realized something was wrong, by the time the fight had already progressed to that point, even if they did realize something was off, there was no way for them to change anything anymore.

Thus, no matter what had caused that situation in the first place, since those forces failed to crush Zhou Tian in one go and instead almost had their own Heavenly Eye Users crushed by Zhou Tian, in that kind of Environment their position naturally wasn’t looking too good.

Both sides sent several hundred Heavenly Eye Users into the Combat.

At the time, it looked as if the Scale of that fight wasn’t very large—just a few hundred Heavenly Eye Users fighting. Compared to the scenes where Zhou Tian used to field Large Armies numbering in the billions, this could practically be called child’s play.

But in reality, right now not only was the importance of this Combat beyond any comparison with Zhou Tian’s previous fights, even in terms of Environment the two couldn’t be mentioned in the same breath. And given Zhou Tian’s situation then, with both sides sending several hundred Heavenly Eye Users, this was already an extremely significant Battle.

Back then, the number of Heavenly Eye Users in that world was enormous—this was something Zhou Tian could still Guarantee. After all, as long as there was an Opportunity to open one’s eyes, any Demi-human could become a Heavenly Eye Users, and the number of Demi-humans in that world was in the tens of billions if not hundreds of billions. With such a massive base from which Heavenly Eye Users could grow, the total count was bound to be huge.

Still, although the number of Heavenly Eye Users in that world was, obviously, vast, the Problem now was that this Battle Zhou Tian was organising was, at its core, only a Confrontation between two Small forces. So no matter how many Heavenly Eye Users existed in that world overall, from Zhou Tian’s side’s perspective, sending several hundred Heavenly Eye Users out at once meant they had directly deployed a very large portion of their Combat power.

If they could Win, then for those forces it would naturally be a good thing. Once they directly crushed the Heavenly Eye Users Zhou Tian had dispatched, those forces could be said to have Won. Because in their view at the time, Zhou Tian already had a hard enough time sending that many Heavenly Eye Users to Attack their Territory; if he lost several hundred Members in one go, then even if Zhou Tian was unwilling, he would probably have no choice but to retreat.

But those Heavenly Eye Users never expected that, while they thought their own side was certain to Win, actually going up against Zhou Tian would result in such an outcome.

Even though neither side had committed their main forces yet, with just this first Confrontation, Zhou Tian had already severely damaged those forces.

Zhou Tian hadn’t gone so far as to Win the entire War with that one Battle, but in any case, after directly crushing several hundred Members of those forces, at this point he could already be said to have seized the Upper Hand. As long as he could maintain that Advantage, then theoretically, it wouldn’t be difficult at all for Zhou Tian to eventually crush those forces.

Of course, although Zhou Tian had already carved out an enormous Advantage by scoring a major initial victory and hitting his Enemies hard, precisely because he seized such a huge Advantage right from the start, faced with Zhou Tian’s Performance, those forces were already beginning to feel some fear.

And since they realized Zhou Tian wasn’t as easy to deal with as they had imagined, and that with just their Strength it seemed difficult to defeat Zhou Tian, they might as well choose Defense.

If they could crush Zhou Tian and his Heavenly Eye Users in a frontal fight, then those forces fighting Zhou Tian at the time certainly wouldn’t want to resort to this approach. After all, if they could directly defeat Zhou Tian head-on, that would mean Zhou Tian’s Invasion this time would end in a very short span of time.

But in the end, when those forces wanted to Win easily, things didn’t unfold the way they expected at all. And once events developed into what they were then, even if those Heavenly Eye Users were unwilling, they still had to admit that crushing Zhou Tian would be extremely difficult.

Thus, since they might not be able to match Zhou Tian’s side in a frontal Combat, for the sake of self-preservation those forces naturally had no choice but to adopt a passive Defense at that point.

After all, the defending side’s Advantage is right there. No matter how aggressively Zhou Tian was acting, under normal circumstances, as long as those Heavenly Eye Users stubbornly held their ground and refused to come out, Zhou Tian would absolutely have to pay several times the casualties if he wanted to take their Territory.

Of course, Zhou Tian could also choose to send his powerhouses to Attack their defense line. As long as he could blast open a breach, those forces would still end up defeated.

The issue was, first, Heavenly Eye Users who possessed that kind of Ability were indeed strong but not many in number; at least the forces in that region had never seen Heavenly Eye Users with that kind of overwhelming Strength. Second, regardless of whether Zhou Tian’s side had such a powerful existence or not, by virtue of their opposing Positions, it was destined that any such Combat power on Zhou Tian’s side would ultimately be used against them. And given the circumstances at the time, if they could manage to isolate such a Heavenly Eye Users, then compared to normal Combat, using their defense line and many Enemies against few would give them several more points of Hope in crushing Zhou Tian.

After all, that world didn’t only have Heavenly Eye Users!
