Chapter 1363: Kill Yourself
As Anthony appeared before the next Eternal Apex, his katana flashed without missing a beat. The Eternal Apex didn’t dodge or take a step back; he moved instead, his hammer blitzing upwards to meet Anthony’s katana without a shred of fear in his eyes.
With a celestial rupture, hammer met katana with booming force, space degrading, shattering like glass under immense weight. Anthony parried the weapon to the side with a smirk on his face, his katana swinging upwards in a diagonal slash as he aimed to tear open the Eternal Apex’s stomach.
The Eternal Apex recalibrated, his Law Personification boosting his speed as he matched Anthony regardless. With another crumbling burst of power, stars around them collapsed as searing heat consumed the both of them, but they didn’t seem to care as they vanished from where they stood.
They ran across Planets, across Stars, across Realms, across various Constellations and Celestial bodies.
Anthony’s eyes snapped to the side as the hammer closed in from that direction. His katana blurred to meet it head-on, but as the weapons were about to tear into each other, the Eternal Apex vanished, his Law boosting him once more. He appeared behind Anthony, his hammer tearing forward, ripping Reality apart as though it was some fragile cloth.
As the hammer met Anthony’s body, his form dissipated as though it was an illusion all along, but it wasn’t, as that was Anthony’s afterimage. Before the Eternal Apex could even sense Anthony’s location, a thin black sword light flashed from below, bisecting him from between his legs, the sword light tearing apart his waist, his stomach, his chest, his head, and everything in perfect half.
Blood splattered into the cosmic air and space, intestines and other organs dancing into the battlefield. But the man didn’t die; his Law came alive once more as he sought to heal himself, but before he could, Anthony’s hand moved once again as his katana danced.
As the sword light flashed, the Eternal Apex was diced into a million pieces. Even with his Law Personification and becoming one with the Law, he still died pointlessly. Anthony waved his hand once more, the Divine Flames coming alive and devouring the man, nourishing his soul and body once more.
The next Eternal Apex closed the distance with a pole attack aimed at Anthony’s head as he practiced the Law Of Wind. Anthony sensed the attack, but he didn’t move to block or anything of the sort, not even Infinity activating.
With a planet-crumbling might, the pole empowered by Law Wind Personification slammed into Anthony’s chest, the space shattering once more as Void swallowed both of them whole. Anthony hadn’t blocked because this Eternal Apex was Human, and any attack from any Human was useless against him.
As space regenerated the next instant, Anthony just glanced at the Eternal Apex, who was stunned that his attacks didn’t work. His lips parted as he commanded with an authoritative tone.
"Kill yourself."
His voice was flat, as the moment he ordered the man, he turned away as though he couldn’t be bothered with the Human man anymore.
As Anthony turned away, the man froze. His hand moved on its own accord, his Will and Mind trying to regain control over his body, but it was futile, as his Perfect Bloodline bowed and accepted orders from the Primordial source.
The man placed the butt of his pole against his chest, then willed his pole to increase in size and elongate. The moment the order was given, the pole elongated and expanded with force, tearing the man’s body apart into minced meat as he died with nothing but fear plaguing his mind.
With that, out of twenty, three had died, seventeen more to go.
The next Eternal Apex had already closed the distance before Anthony could even kill the Human Eternal Apex. The next Apex was from the Kitsune Race; he created illusions of himself, each one launching pincer attacks from all directions.
They may have seemed like illusions, but they weren’t true illusions, as the Kitsune’s Law seemed to transform illusions into reality.
As the clones closed the distance, Anthony vanished as he appeared behind the illusions the next instant, his hand leaving his katana. The moment his hand left his katana, various black sword lines appeared etched into space itself, tearing the illusions apart, their bodies dissipating.
Anthony vanished as he closed the distance, moving to end the Kitsune, but the Kitsune created an illusion portal and vanished into it, appearing in another direction. But Anthony didn’t care; his katana simply blurred as he slashed outwards, his Law Of Sword not even coming alive.
With nothing but pure swordsmanship, Anthony’s sword tore through the space-time continuum, the illusion portal was torn apart in perfect half, his attack travelling through time and space, appearing before the Kitsune Eternal Apex. And with sickening ease, a diagonal slash carved through the Kitsune’s body, blood splattering into the air as the Kitsune’s face was torn apart in tandem.
The Kitsune frowned, his Law Of Illusion coming alive once more as the illusion erased his injuries from Reality itself. Anthony shot forward in a burst of motion as he moved to end the Kitsune once and for all, but before he could close the distance, the Kitsune snapped his fingers.
At the snap, illusions of Anthony’s parents and grandparents appeared around him, not only them, but Aaaninja, Lucian, Aura Nova, and Kingsley as well, each of them appearing, their presence rising as they stared down at Anthony with disdain in their eyes.
Anthony didn’t pause; he wasn’t a man that reacted to mere illusions. He simply waved his hand, his Law Of Existence coming alive once more as he erased the illusions as though they were the fakest illusions in existence.
The Law Of Existence humming around Anthony changed as Anthony tapped into the Law Of Illusion. Although he hadn’t reached the Personification stage, Anthony could forcefully reach that stage through Thought Conception.
An illusion immediately spread out, encasing the Kitsune. Within the illusion, the Kitsune witnessed himself being eaten alive by maggots, ants, beetles, and all forms of insects and the likes. As an Eternal Apex, he possessed extraordinary Will, and as an Eternal Apex in tune with the Law Of Illusion, he knew it was an illusion, but he couldn’t break through it; he could only rely on sheer Will as he searched for a method to break out.
But all Wills in this world had a breaking point, as within the illusion, one day passed, then a year, then a decade, then a century, then a millennium, then an epoch, then eons. No matter how many times the maggots, insects, and spiders ate his flesh and bones and drank his blood, they still had more things to feed on.
Alas, he could only kill himself to end his own suffering.
And with that, the Kitsune killed himself. An Eternal Apex and a race known for its own illusionary abilities and Law had died to an illusion attack. It was ironic.
But Anthony had no time to focus on the Kitsune, as just like the others, he too was nothing special, just an Eternal Apex, nothing more.
And with that, the seventeenth died, sixteen more to go.
