Chapter 1362: Twenty
The sword lines and sword-line attacks powered by the Law Of Sword from Anthony didn’t surge forward, no; instead, they appeared above the Eternal Apexes, then screamed downward upon everyone as though it were raining sword attacks upon the Galaxy.
The Eternal Apexes felt death encroach upon their senses; they didn’t dare delay in their reactions. Laws erupted in succession as they moved to save and preserve their lives.
With Cosmic Disturbance, Anthony’s sword attack collapsed upon Reality itself. Laws meeting Laws head-on, vibrations of various intensities erupting throughout the Galaxy. Laws of all grades were displayed, Universal Laws, Unique Laws, Greater Laws, Minor Laws, each Eternal Apex using their Laws and abilities in unique ways. Some used artifacts to survive.
Titanic stellar explosions rang out continuously as though the rebirth and fall of the Galaxy were on the horizon. With a booming force, a Cosmic rupture erupted outwards as Reality itself crumbled, unleashing a wave of empyrean madness upon everyone present.
With a single attack from Anthony, the destruction the Eternal Apexes had unleashed before now had all been surpassed.
Through the churning cosmic smoke and dust, various Eternal Apexes came into view. Their numbers were exactly twenty, as with a single attack, Anthony had erased the rest. Their abilities, Laws, and artifacts couldn’t even defend against his Law Of Sword. Such was the power the anomaly by the name of Null Anthony possessed.
As for the surviving twenty, fifteen bled, twelve out of the fifteen were missing one or more limbs, and they panted as they stared straight ahead, their eyes fixed on Anthony as they refused to back down, either now or ever. They would see this through to the end.
With a thought, Elixirs appeared in their hands. They drank them instantly, their injuries healing, their limbs regenerating as they returned to perfect health. They held their weapons and settled into a stance, showing they were ready for anything and everything.
Anthony shook his head with an exasperated sigh. Personally, he understood the reason these people were ready to die. They had all been searching for ways to Transcend, and after ages and eons of searching, how could they simply turn and run for their lives after finding a path forward? Even if the path wasn’t guaranteed, a path was a path.
This was how strong-willed they were.
Of course, Anthony was aware that some Eternal Apexes had already escaped, as these ones weren’t willing to die for their cause, no matter the reason. After all, they still had immense vitality and immense lifespans.
As for the five who stood untouched by Anthony’s attack, the man who manipulated probability was amongst them. He sent the man a smile, but said nothing more. He simply drew his katana, then finally took a step, his body vanishing, his speed surpassing teleportation.
He appeared before one of the strongest five as he ignored the weaker ones, his katana screaming towards the woman’s throat without a shred of mercy. Although Anthony’s speed was immense and simply too fast, clearly it wasn’t something the woman couldn’t follow, as her eyes snapped towards it.
Her hand blurred as she unsheathed her own sword with the speed of a woman who had dedicated hours to the sword. And with a thunderous screech, katana met katana in a storm of flickering sparks.
The woman gave Anthony a grin as she immediately parried his katana to the side after the block, then unleashed a thrust towards his forehead as she went for the kill. Anthony’s wrist flicked as he drew back his katana and met the thrust with the flat side of his katana, stopping the attack with masterful ease.
With a crackling blast, a compressed ring of shockwave collision erupted outwards and slammed into the other Apexes, but they remained where they were. As Anthony was about to retaliate with his own counterattack, the other Eternal Apexes closed in from the side.
A rapier from the side, a double-edged axe screaming from above, from the other side a blunt, heavy hammer, from below a blunt pole attack aimed at his ankles, and a spiked club streaking for his knees.
Anthony’s eyes snapped towards the incoming attacks. His body vanished from his position in a burst of speed as he dodged every attack as though it were nothing. The moment Anthony appeared, his katana moved as he unleashed a slash towards the twenty Eternal Apexes, unleashing twenty attacks at once, one for each.
The woman from earlier didn’t even parry; she simply leaned to the side as she dodged with ease. The grin on her face remained as she shot forward, covering the distance at blitzing speed. The moment she arrived before Anthony, she attacked, aiming for his heart as she aimed for nothing but vital organs.
Unlike her, who dodged easily, some of the other Eternal Apexes didn’t have it so easy. The attack tore off their limbs or hacked off their skin.
Anthony deflected the woman’s attack to the side, his wrist twisting as his katana rotated in his grip. Without missing a beat, he linked his deflection into a slice at the woman’s neck. The woman’s neck snapped to the side as she dodged at the last moment.
Her hand shot out as she grabbed Anthony’s shoulder. She pulled him in, a foot leaving the Planet’s surface as she moved to knee him in the ribs. As the attack closed in, Anthony’s hand moved as he blocked with his forearm. Anthony’s left leg shot off the Planet backwards as he slammed his heel into the woman’s head with a cataclysmic bam.
She staggered backwards, her head feeling heavy as she felt dizzy. Before she could do anything else, Anthony met her chest with the foot of his foot as he stomped into her chest. The Eternal Apex’s body shot backwards like a kite, her body slamming into a star, which cracked and threatened to collapse.
As he dealt with the woman, another Eternal Apex closed the distance, his pole tearing through space as he aimed for Anthony’s head. But before the attack could even land, Anthony had already moved, his katana decapitating the man with precise motion.
Divine Flames came alive, devouring the Eternal Apex’s corpse. Anthony shot forward as he moved towards the next Eternal Apex without pausing for even a moment.
