Chapter 1357: A Simple Thought
As his head soared into the air, only one question echoed within the woman’s head; How?
She hadn’t known how Anthony had broken her control over his Acceleration. But it didn’t matter now, she was dead. She couldn’t help but curse; she had died because she had been caught off guard while trying to catch her opponent off guard.
And with that, her body hit the ground with a thud, her head following as it struck the ground, then rolled forward like a ball.
Anthony didn’t look back. He had already sheathed his katana the moment he decapitated the woman, his body still streaking towards the injured Ancient Behemoth. He arrived before it in less than a split second, his hand shooting forward like a sword as he moved to tear through the Behemoth’s stomach with chilling ease.
The moment Anthony’s hand connected with the Ancient Behemoth’s back, his fingers and wrists instantly shattered, blood splattering into the air, bones snapping like twigs.
Null Anthony had been injured.
The Ancient Behemoth immediately spun and landed on its four limbs, then flapped its wings and shot into the sky as it escaped instantly. Anthony stood for a moment as he stared at his hand, wondering how he had been injured.
Authority Of Information flickered with a thought, and the next moment, an answer came. His head snapped to the side, and upon a roof was a woman standing with a smirk. Her Law allowed her to manipulate the Consequences of an action to an extent.
The Unique Law Of Consequences.
And with her Title increasing the effect of her Law, she was even more powerful.
By attacking the Behemoth, Anthony’s Consequence was his hand breaking.
Anthony gave her a smile, his hand instantly healing as his Regeneration ability kicked in. Anthony vanished from where he stood as he appeared before her, his speed swift as he erased kilometers easily. The moment he was upon the roof, he unleashed a kick towards her jaw.
The woman didn’t defend. She stood as though she could manipulate the world however she wished, while giving Anthony a mocking smile as though he hadn’t learned his lesson. Her Law Of Consequences hummed around her as she established that the Consequence of Anthony attacking her was his leg breaking.
With a booming force, the attack connected. Her head snapped to the side, her body shooting sideways like a bullet as momentum took control over her body. Her mind trembled as she couldn’t understand how her Law Of Consequences had failed.
Blood splattered from her head, but it didn’t matter to her; the injury instantly healed. She changed her Consequences, establishing that the Consequence of Anthony injuring her was him receiving a greater injury.
Yet, nothing happened. She frowned. It was as though her Law wasn’t working anymore, as though she had suddenly lost her comprehension over it. But she hadn’t; it was simply that, through Thought Conception, Anthony made himself immune to the Law Of Consequences. It was simply that easy.
Anthony didn’t give her any more chances. He blurred forward, appearing before her, but the moment he moved, the woman moved, no longer acting arrogant. As he gave chase, other Eternal Apexes also gave chase.
But alas, the woman wasn’t faster than Anthony. He appeared beside her, his fist shooting out towards her head. The moment immediately twisted as she met Anthony’s fist with her own fist.
With a thunderous roar, fist met fist as an astronomical blast of shockwave erupted outwards, erasing everything within a five-light-year radius. Everybody within range died, buildings were reduced to nothing, and ravines and sinkholes tore open.
The woman seemed to want to switch to a hand-to-hand fight, but she was never Anthony’s match.
At a speed that eclipsed everything she had ever witnessed, Anthony moved. He caught her by the head, holding her temples with his palm as he brought her head downwards while bringing his knee upwards.
He slammed her face into his knee like two goats locking horns. The woman felt dazed for a moment, her teeth shattering, but a new set immediately appeared. As she felt disoriented, Anthony held her neck, then tore it open, tearing out her spine with gut-wrenching ease, green blood splattering into the air.
The woman twitched as she couldn’t stand without her spine, her body crumbling to the ground. Before she could even speak, Anthony’s hand moved, the spine blurring like a whip as he used it to sever her head.
The third Eternal Apex fell to death before she could even understand the existence she had gone against.
The Eternal Apex who was controlling the Light Whip from earlier moved again, but this time, kicking things up a notch. Using his Law Of Light, he tapped into the light motes in the air, and without a shred of hesitation, he exploded them all in a shower of pure madness.
Everything within a hundred Light-years radius was erased to nothingness, darkness engulfing the area, heat skyrocketing. The entire Sathor Grand Region quaked under the force of the attack as earthquakes, tsunamis, and various other natural disasters erupted with grand entrance.
Through the natural disasters, skyrocketing temperature, and dome of Light photon explosion, Anthony walked out in calm strides, his hair and clothes dancing in the wind.
His eyes rose towards the sky. He could still see over a hundred Eternal Apexes, these ones more powerful than the ones currently fighting him. They seemed to want to take him on alone and didn’t want to do it with weaker Eternal Apexes.
Anthony gave them a smirk, then turned towards the Eternal Apex with the Law Of Light. He snapped his finger, Thought Conception activating as Anthony manipulated the blood flowing within the man’s veins.
The man froze for a moment. The next instant, his blood turned into spikes that shot out from every part of his body: his eyes, his brain, his heart, his ears, and his private parts. The man stood speechless. Although he felt the pain, he didn’t die.
But before he could even move backwards and try to understand how his blood was being manipulated, Thought Conception activated yet again as his head exploded into a shower of blood, brain matter, and bones.
Anthony had killed the fourth Eternal Apex with nothing but a simple thought.
