Chapter 4676: Don't Dare
Chapter 4676: Don’t Dare
The emerald-green demon blood spurted out as the demon queen’s serpentine head was completely severed, flying through the air before landing amidst the other demons. One demon, caught off guard, instinctively reached out to catch the falling head. It stared at the demon queen’s wide-open eyes, which were filled with terror and resentment, and then let out a piercing scream.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhh!”
With that scream, the little demon instinctively recoiled and threw the demon queen’s head upwards, tossing it away from the others. This time, no one stood foolishly to catch the severed head. Instead, they automatically stepped back to avoid it, allowing the demon queen’s head to fall to the ground and roll several times until it came to a stop.
The surrounding demons dared not make a sound, staring in shock and terror as their demon queen’s head had been severed from her body, her snake-like form crashing to the ground with a heavy thud. The red-clad human woman stepped onto the fallen body, and then with a swift, ruthless thrust, the green-glowing sword in her hand pierced through the demon queen’s torso. In front of all the demons, she cut open the demon queen’s belly and extracted her snake gallbladder and a Neidan. Even though they were demons accustomed to violence, the bloody and cruel scene made them turn pale, swallow hard, and instinctively retreat, fearing that they would suffer the same fate as their queen.
The Demon King was also visibly shocked by the scene unfolding before him. He hadn’t anticipated Feng Jiu taking the Demon Queen’s snake gallbladder and medicinal pill without uttering a single word, let alone cutting open her abdomen in front of all his subjects. The entire scene and her ruthless methods sent a chill even through his demonic heart.
“Does anyone else desire death? I don’t mind sending them on their way,” Feng Jiu said, turning back. Her cold gaze swept over the assembled demons before finally settling on the Demon King. Under her intense stare, the demons instinctively backed away further, not daring to utter a single word. The Demon King looked at the lifeless body of his Demon Queen, as if he wanted to speak, but in the end, he merely let out a heavy sigh.
“I advised her not to provoke you, but I never expected…”
Feng Jiu regarded him coldly. “You had no intention of opposing me, and therefore, even though you are a demon, I would not have harmed you. However, if you wish to avenge your demon queen, I will naturally oblige you.”
The subterranean flames continued to burn fiercely, and the demons cautiously avoided them, their eyes fixed on their Demon King, awaiting his command.
“I certainly have no desire to go against the Ghost Doctor,” the Demon King said with another sigh. “The demon queen was wrong to capture your people, and now you have taken her life. I sincerely hope the Ghost Doctor can spare my remaining demons. As for anything the Ghost Doctor wishes to know, I will tell you everything within my knowledge.”
Hearing this unexpected concession, Feng Jiu’s eyes flashed with interest. She glanced sharply at the Demon King before immediately raising her hand and waving it. The burning flames were instantly extinguished. However, as the flames died down, the acrid smell of burning flesh and earth wafted upwards from the ground, stinging their nostrils.
“Ghost Doctor, this way please,” said the Demon King, gesturing for them to follow him.
Feng Jiu acknowledged his gesture and followed him forward. Behind them, Du Fan and Leng Hua moved slowly, keeping pace with the Demon King until they entered a cave. It was a cavern located beneath a mountain peak, quite different from the underground palace they had previously encountered. Instead, it resembled more closely a place where a demon king might cultivate and reside.
“Ghost Doctor, please sit down!” the Demon King offered.
He then settled himself down and looked directly at Feng Jiu, saying, “Our Demon Realm exists outside the Three Realms of Heaven, Earth, and Humans. It could almost be said that we have no contact with you immortals. This time…”
