Asher then said, "That’s good. Now go back to your lair, or home, or whatever you Demons call it, and prepare for war."

Raveena looked at him with a confused expression before asking, "By the way, would you tell me when the war will happen? Five years later or ten years later?"

Asher looked at Raveena with a confused expression and then said in a mocking tone, "Have you never participated in or waged a war? Who the hell gives a date for a war five or ten years in advance? Are you sure you’re a Noble?"

Raveena looked at Asher and then said, "I see. So when is the war going to be? Twenty years later? That would be good. We are already in a serious shortage of forces due to the war ten years ago."

Asher immediately interrupted her before she could continue any further.

"What the hell are you talking about, Mosquito? The war will start in fifty days. That’s more than enough time to prepare."

...

Raveena stared at Asher for a moment before blinking several times, confusion clearly visible on her face.

"Sorry, did you say fifty days?"

Asher nodded casually. "Yeah, I did. It’s more than enough time to inform all your Demons and get them ready for war."

Raveena looked at Asher and then sighed deeply.

"This is not how it works. War needs time to prepare for. We have to make strategies and prepare for many things. Wars can last for a long time, and we have to be prepared for every possible situation."

She paused for a moment before continuing, her expression becoming more serious.

"We also suffered many losses in the last war because of the powerful individuals among the human race. There was that Time Manipulation Saintness, the Void Reaper, and then, especially, that Witch of Destruction."

Raveena looked at Asher seriously.

"They have at least three times the number of Immortal Rank experts that we have, and their Immortal Rank experts are generally stronger than ours. Most importantly, they have three Saint Rank experts, while we only have two. And one of our Saints is even weakened right now."

She shook her head slightly.

"There is no way we can win with things the way they are right now."

Raveena paused for a moment and looked at Asher, who was listening to everything with a calm expression.

’At least he is thinking about what I’m saying.’

She felt slightly relieved that he hadn’t interrupted her yet.

"If we fought right now, we would lose for sure, without even having a chance of winning. We need to wait for at least a decade, or maybe even two decades, before we can properly prepare ourselves."

Asher continued looking at her calmly for a few seconds.

Then he finally spoke.

"Don’t teach me about war."

His tone was still calm, but there was something different in his voice now.

"This isn’t some stupid war for domination or territory or something like that. It’s simply kill or be killed. Nothing else."

Raveena remained silent.

"I don’t care about anything else. I said it will happen in fifty days, so it will happen in fifty days. There is no other way around it."

Raveena was just about to intervene again, but before she could say anything, Asher continued.

This time, his tone became serious, and the playful attitude from earlier completely disappeared.

"And you seem to be misunderstanding something. I am not asking you. I am telling you. There is no other way for you. You are just a distraction for me in all of this, and a meat shield. Nothing more."

Raveena looked at Asher with wide eyes before asking, "So what if we refuse to do it in fifty days?"

Asher looked at her, his gaze becoming even sharper. His tone also became more threatening as he replied, "If you want to take ten years to prepare them, what does it matter?"

He paused for a moment before continuing, his eyes remaining fixed on her.

"The only reason I am making you participate in this war is to give you a chance to survive. That’s all."

Raveena remained silent as Asher continued.

"And if I really had to spend ten years preparing for this war, why would I even use you as a distraction? I could have simply killed every Demon on your Continent, taken their corpses as my vessels, mastered their abilities, and waged the war myself."

His voice remained calm, but every word carried a terrifying certainty.

"It would have taken me three years at most to accomplish all of that. So don’t think I am not capable of doing it."

Raveena heard his words with a solemn expression.

If someone else had said something like this, she would have immediately dismissed it as complete bullshit. She would have laughed at the idea that someone could wipe out the entire Demon Continent and use their corpses for himself.

But the man standing in front of her was different.

He had already shown enough to make her believe that he was more than capable of doing something that absurd.

Asher continued speaking in the same threatening tone, "So what I am giving you right now is a chance to survive, not a suicide order."

He looked directly into her eyes.

"You understand?"

Raveena remained silent for a moment before saying in a low tone, "I will just send this message as it is to the Blood Saint. Blood Saint will be the last one to decide, not me. I don’t have enough authority to decide this matter, especially if your conditions are really like that. I can only pass your words to him and let him make the final decision."

Asher looked at her for a moment, and then his tone once again turned playful.

"That’s good. I am sure he or she will agree after seeing just how advantageous it is for you to become a meat shield for me. "
