Chapter 593: To the Death

But at this moment, it was perched on Rong Taotao’s shoulder, so its snow-white wings immediately slapped him across the face.

Rong Taotao: “…”

‘Hmm, maybe it’s time to consider whether owl soup tastes any good…’

Mengmeng Xiao’s golden eyes stared fixedly at the ground below as it finally activated Soul Skill: Owl Eyes!

Unfortunately, Rong Taotao couldn’t see the distant battlefield clearly. ‘Hopefully, Mengmeng Xiao can help Yin Hu…’

“ROAR!!!” A tremendous roar echoed out. It was different from a Snow General Candle’s; judging by the sound, it must be some kind of Snow Corpse?

But this furious roar made Gao Lingwei’s and Rong Taotao’s expressions change slightly.

Both of them were Soul Martial Artists who had fought their way through Gorge 0. Although they couldn’t understand the internal language of the Snow Corpses and Ghosts, after training at the bottom of the gorge for three whole months, certain battle cries were still fresh in their minds.

Gao Lingwei spoke at once, her voice overlapping with Fu Tiance’s:

“They’re going to throw the corpses…”

“Cyan Mountain Army, change of target! Don’t let them throw the Snow Corpses over here!”

Gao Lingwei was warning everyone, while Fu Tiance was giving a direct order.

Evidently, Fu Tiance was extremely experienced. If he didn’t have such a profound and intimate understanding from his dealings with the Snow Corpses and Ghosts, it would have been impossible for him to discern the meaning of the Snow Corpse’s roar.

As he spoke, Fu Tiance also knelt, pressing one hand into the snow!

WHOOSH…

Eight enormous ice pillars erupted from the churning river of snow, forming a magnificent and awe-inspiring Ice Pillar Array!

Snow Realm Soul Skill: Ice Power Like a Mountain!

CRACK! SPLAT!

THUD… The sounds of the thrown Snow Corpses crashing into the ice pillars rang out one after another.

Under the raging winds whipped up by the Cyan Mountain Army’s Cheng Border and Xu Yiyu, countless Snow Corpses were submerged in the Snow Dragon Tornado. And yet… how could a small squad of just a few people possibly withstand such a large-scale assault!?

Ugly Ox and Wu Ma’s river of snow could still secure the front, but the rear guard of the Corpse Tide had already caught up during the battle and was now attacking from both flanks.

No, to be precise, they were being thrown!

Gao Lingwei’s heart jumped. She whipped out a Heaven-piercing Halberd with her right hand and quickly moved to the right. As she advanced, her left hand, held behind her, made a vicious horizontal slash!

Snow Realm Soul Skill: Master-level Wind and Snow Blade!

Whoosh~

An extremely thin and sharp Wind and Snow Blade formed instantly, significantly faster than the Elite-level version!

And with that one horizontal slash, the Wind and Snow Blade sliced through a whole group of thrown Snow Corpses on the left!

“Hiss…”

“Wooo… woooo…”

In an instant, a chorus of miserable wails erupted. A rain of blood fell from the sky, and severed arms, legs, and even torsos landed in the snow. The scene was utterly gruesome!

However, this brutal scene was less savage than the glint flashing in Gao Lingwei’s eyes, because a Snow Grudge Spirit had just silently darted out from the midst of the gore.

The Snow Grudge Spirit, however, did not charge out. Instead, its translucent body turned and concealed itself behind Gao Lingwei, its venomous gaze fixed on the clawing Snow Corpses, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Behind the mask of a ferocious wolf-dog, Gao Lingwei licked her thin lips, exuding a bloodthirsty aura. As she landed heavily, she stomped a foot down!

WHOOSH…

Two powerful gusts of wind erupted in a “V” shape in front of her, scattering a group of corpses.

“Mama…” From behind, a little chubby figure caught up. Its body of frost hummed and vibrated as it brandished a Heaven-piercing Halberd, guarding Gao Lingwei’s left flank.

Although Rong Ling was not yet “two years old,” ever since it started using the Heaven-piercing Halberd, all of its Martial Arts had been taught by Gao Lingwei. It naturally knew which side of her to stand on so as not to get in the way.

“Hm?” Gao Lingwei grunted softly. She threw her halberd, piercing a Snow Corpse falling from the sky. “What did you say?”

Rong Ling copied her perfectly, throwing its own small Heaven-piercing Halberd. “Taotao. Said. Mama.”

“Hah,” Gao Lingwei snorted lightly. “Call me Master…”

As she spoke, another irritable roar from a Snow Corpse cut through the pitch-black night.

Gao Lingwei’s brows furrowed. Without a doubt, this was the “throw corpses” command again!

Sure enough, in less than two seconds, waves of Snow Corpses rained down from the sky, flying toward them with ferocious speed!

“Yah!” Gao Lingwei cried out, placing her left hand by her side and swiping it fiercely before her!

The Wind and Snow Blade slashed out horizontally once more, but…

This time, it wasn’t just a dozen or so Snow Corpses being thrown. The Corpse Tide on the left was clearly immense; they came in multiple layers, a dense swarm of Snow Corpses that blotted out the sky…

Gao Lingwei’s breath caught in her throat.

“Child, fall back.” A gentle voice came from behind. Even on this brutal battlefield, the tone was still incredibly soft.

“Back!” Gao Lingwei reached down, putting a hand in front of Rong Ling’s face as she guided it backward. At the same time, a suit of Snow Armor pieced itself together over her body.

Master-level Iron Snow Armor!

“SCHLICK!”

“SCHLICK! SCHLICK!” In an instant, the sound of countless blades piercing flesh rang out, leaving Gao Lingwei and Rong Ling completely dumbfounded.

Facing the “heavy rain of Snow Corpses” flying through the sky, the branches on the Tree Castle twisted together, forming sharp wooden spikes that shot straight out!

The quietly standing Tree Castle had instantly transformed into a “hedgehog,” a truly terrifying sight!
