Chapter 575 I am Thunder God
Chapter 575: Chapter 575 I am Thunder God
Thor’s attacks were fierce, but in Dago’s eyes, they were full of flaws.
Sidestep, twist the waist, slide.
Dago moved with ease through the axe-net intertwined with thunder, with his hands behind his back.
The sharp edge of stormbreaker brushed past his body time and time again, yet failed to touch even the corner of his clothes.
"Stop dodging like a coward! Take my axe head-on!" Thor roared, his attacks becoming increasingly manic.
A cold glint flashed in Dago’s eyes.
Now.
Thor raised his axe high, leaving his center wide open.
Dago’s right hand, which had been kept behind his back all along, suddenly shot out.
Without any fancy movements, it was merely an unpretentious palm strike.
"Bang!"
This palm strike landed solidly on Thor’s chest.
Omega energy erupted from the palm.
Thor only felt a sweetness in his throat; his heavy Asgard armor indented inward, and his ribs let out an unbearable groan.
He was directly struck so that his feet left the ground, falling into a brief airborne state.
But this wasn’t over yet.
Dago’s figure flashed as he closed in aggressively.
Uksas combo.
A left punch to the abdomen, a right elbow smash to the neck, and a knee strike to the jaw.
Thor let out a painful muffled groan, his entire body beaten into stiffness in mid-air.
But Dago’s attacks were not over yet; he slammed his foot hard onto the ground.
Apocalypse Fire!
Accompanied by Dago’s whisper, the lava lake below seemed to be summoned.
He actually directly controlled the underground lava.
Boom!
A pillar of molten lava more than ten meters in diameter broke through the rock layer from underground, like a roaring dragon opening its wide mouth to engulf Thor.
At a critical juncture.
The stormbreaker in Thor’s hand suddenly erupted with dazzling blue light, as if it possessed a consciousness of its own,
dragging Thor laterally across the air for a hundred meters, narrowly avoiding the engulfment of the subterranean fire, and crashing onto another safe rocky island.
Thor shook his somewhat dizzy head hard, finally regaining his composure.
He also finally realized that the gray-skinned fellow before him was far more terrifying than Thanos.
Although Thor’s head wasn’t usually very bright, after experiencing the severe beatings of several high-end matches, his combat wisdom was no longer what it used to be.
He no longer charged blindly, but instead distanced himself from Dago.
Thor raised his axe high, and dense flashes of lightning immediately fell from the sky.
These bolts of lightning covered all footing points around Dago like a giant net.
Dago began to shuttle rapidly among the rocks, dodging the bombardment of the lightning.
"Is this your tactic? Hiding in the distance like a coward throwing sparks?" Dago taunted.
Thor ignored his taunts.
He was waiting, waiting for an excellent opportunity.
Thor’s attacks looked seemingly chaotic, but actually harbored murderous intent.
Finally, Dago jumped onto a relatively small piece of rock.
A sharp glint flashed in Thor’s eyes.
Now!
Thor suddenly raised stormbreaker high above his head.
"Bifrost Bridge!"
Although Heimdall could not see this place, stormbreaker itself possessed the ability to summon the Bifrost Bridge.
Hum——!
A low rumble came from the depths of the Universe.
Following that, an extremely gorgeous seven-colored beam of light containing destructive energy descended from the endless void.
On the surface, the Bifrost Bridge was a teleportation device used by Asgard to travel through the Nine Realms.
But in essence, it was also a star-destroying doomsday weapon.
The huge energy generated by the Bifrost Bridge would continuously impact the target.
If not shut down, this high-intensity energy beam could even pierce through the core of a Planet and detonate it in a short period of time.
The huge seven-colored beam of light tightly suppressed Dago in place, and the energy of the Bifrost Bridge crazily pulverized everything inside like a millstone.
Thor looked at the figure engulfed by the Bifrost Bridge and grinned happily.
"This is Asgard’s way of greeting! Idiot!"
However, his smile had not completely blossomed yet.
"Zzzt——pop!"
A Boom Tube glowing with blue light suddenly appeared behind Thor.
"Then are you ready to accept the greeting from Apocalypse?"
Dago’s cold, raspy voice rang abruptly in Thor’s ear.
Thor’s smile froze on his face, and every hair on his back stood on end.
He turned abruptly and swung his axe.
But Dago’s speed was even faster than his.
Dago’s powerful whip kick heavily lashed against Thor’s waist.
Thor was kicked flying, heavily crashing into a shallow layer of lava.
"Hiss——"
The Eternal Flame immediately attached itself to his armor and skin, and the excruciating pain of burning made Thor let out a miserable scream.
He struggled to crawl up; his armor had already been burned red-hot, and sizzling white smoke rose from his skin.
Dago slowly walked toward him, his eyes filled with aloof contempt.
He grabbed Thor by the neck and lifted him up.
"The way you wield your weapon is full of ignorance about power."
"Shut up..." Thor gritted his teeth and let out angrily.
"You’re angry? You feel humiliated?" Dago violently slammed Thor into another rock.
"That’s because you don’t understand what real combat is at all!"
Dago stepped forward again, stamping his foot on Thor’s chest.
"You rely too much on that lousy axe in your hand!"
"Without a weapon, can you no longer fight? Without lightning, are you no longer a god?"
Dago smashed a fierce punch onto Thor’s face.
Thor’s nasal bone broke, and blood sprayed wildly.
"You’re just like a spoiled prince, showing off on the battlefield with toys given by My Lord! A true warrior, even if they lose everything, can still tear out an enemy’s throat with their teeth!"
"Your heart is just that of a weak child!"
Dago sneered and kicked Thor in the ribs once more.
Thor rolled on the ground a few times, once again staining himself with plenty of lava from the ground.
He was covered in blood, and his Asgard armor was already shattered beyond recognition.
What was worse, the lava attached by the Eternal Flame was endlessly burning his flesh and blood.
Thor lay on the ground struggling in pain.
Dago’s words were like sharp daggers stabbing into his heart.
Without a weapon, can I no longer fight?
Without lightning, am I no longer a god?
Thor’s vision was somewhat blurred.
He remembered what Odin had once said to him.
"You are Thor the God of Thunder, not the god of hammers."
He remembered Homelander’s declaration to the World.
"Love is the most powerful force in the World!"
Yeah, power comes from oneself, not external objects.
Why am I fighting?
For the glory of Asgard?
To prove myself to others?
No.
Thor finally figured it out.
The true spirit of combat is indomitability.
It is to protect the things you cherish, even if you fight until the last drop of blood is drained.
He turned over with difficulty and slowly stood up.
Odin, Frigga, Loki, Jane Foster.
And Anthony... that brother who always stepped up at critical moments to save everything.
Their faces appeared alternately in Thor’s mind.
"I am Thor!"
