Chapter 574: Chapter 574 Just kidding

If Dago was an unknown, taciturn person, then Thor was a top mainstream star.

To many races in the Milky Way Galaxy, the name Asgard was not unfamiliar.

That was a powerful civilization that once swept across the Universe through sheer force.

And as the crown prince, Thor naturally came with a legendary aura.

More importantly, many spectators at the scene had personally witnessed Thor’s matches in the gladiatorial arena on Sakaar.

On Sakaar, Thor had fought his way all the way to the throne of the champion.

He was savage, powerful, and full of destructive force.

His combat style was deeply loved by gamblers.

At this moment, the odds tilted drastically, and a massive amount of interstellar credits were frantically bet on Thor.

And Thor also deeply enjoyed the feeling of being the center of attention.

He raised the stormbreaker, twirled it a couple of times in front of him, and pointed it directly at Dago opposite him.

"Asgardians never fear any challenge."

"No matter who you are, today you will become the defeated beneath my thunder!"

The Grandmaster looked at the two people on the field, whose swords were drawn, and smiled excitedly.

"Both contestants are in position! Now, let us see what kind of interesting battlefield the audience has chosen for you!"

The huge holographic counter spun frantically in mid-air.

Finally, accompanied by the prompt sound of voting locking in, the Grandmaster announced loudly:

"Terrain confirmed! Shattered Star Core · Lava Inferno!"

As his voice fell, the gladiatorial arena completed its scene transformation in an instant.

Thor and Dago found themselves on a Planet that was on the verge of collapse.

Beneath their feet was rolling, roaring high-temperature magma, and countless dark red huge rocks floated on the magma lake like isolated islands.

The air was filled with a pungent sulfur smell and a terrifying high temperature enough to instantly roast an ordinary person dry.

The magma erupted from time to time, shooting out pillars of fire hundreds of meters high.

"Friendly reminder, two esteemed contestants!"

With a successful mischievous smile on his face, the Grandmaster explained loudly:

"Those red liquids beneath your feet are not ordinary magma. That is purgatory lava mixed with the ’Eternal Flame’."

"Once it touches even a single drop, it will burn your flesh like bone-attaching maggots."

"And as time passes, its temperature will get higher and higher, until it melts you completely. Have fun!"

The projection disappeared accompanied by arrogant laughter.

Hearing the four words "Eternal Flame", Thor frowned slightly, but quickly returned to a confident smile.

He landed steadily on a huge floating rock.

The high temperature was not much of a threat to a divine physique like his, but he could feel that the gravity here was much greater than that of Earth, and he quickly moved around to let his body adapt to the gravity here.

In contrast, Dago opposite him still maintained the posture of having his hands behind his back from just now, as steady as Mount Tai.

Those rolling heat waves couldn’t even flutter a corner of his clothes.

"Hey, big guy." Thor shouted with a wide grin, "Don’t you think it’s a bit hot here? Maybe you should take advantage of my good mood right now, actively admit defeat, and roll back to Thanos’s broken ship to blow some air conditioning."

Dago’s face had no emotional fluctuations, and he responded coldly: "Gods? Creatures like you who call yourselves gods, I have enslaved tens of thousands of them. In my eyes, a god is nothing more than a slightly stronger slave."

Thor’s face sank; he hated most when others belittled Asgard’s glory.

"Then under this thunder, taste the feeling of being a slave yourself first!"

Thor roared, exerted force with his feet, and jumped into mid-air.

His muscle memory was instantly activated, instinctively wanting to throw the battle ax out like usual, letting it carry the momentum of a thunderbolt to deal a fatal blow to the enemy.

But at the split second before it left his hand, memories of his divine artifacts being lost one after another suddenly flashed through his mind.

Subconsciously, his five fingers gripped the handle of the ax tightly.

This led to an extremely comical scene.

Thor flew out together with the stormbreaker.

And because the ax handle was tightly held by him, the ax couldn’t rotate and accelerate in the air at all.

It not only lost its original impact force, but also had to drag Thor, a muscle-bound giant weighing several hundred pounds.

The originally majestic thunder assault turned into a clumsy glide.

Watching Thor charge straight over like a clumsy bear, Dago didn’t move his footsteps even a fraction.

As Thor slowly flew right in front of him, Dago expressionlessly reached out a hand.

"Snap."

Dago’s large palm directly grasped the handle of the stormbreaker.

Thor’s charge came to an abrupt halt.

The distance between him and Dago at this moment was less than half a meter.

Both of their hands were gripping the stormbreaker, their eyes meeting.

Thor could even clearly see the rock-like rough skin texture of Dago, and those emotionless crimson eyes.

The atmosphere suddenly became subtle.

Thor’s mouth twitched.

To cover up the awkwardness, he gave a dry laugh: "Hey, buddy. Your grip strength is not bad, you must work out quite a bit usually, right?"

Dago looked at him coldly, and a wave of speechlessness also swept through his heart.

At that split second just now, if the Master hadn’t given a clear instruction asking him not to make Thor lose too ugly and needing to leave some face for Earth...

Just based on Thor’s stiff and full-of-flaws charge just now, he would have already killed this Asgardian fool eight times over.

"Just kidding." The electric light in Thor’s eyes surged violently.

Divine lightning pouring down!

Rumble——!

Under the blessing of the stormbreaker, a terrifying thunderous force descended from the sky, directly bombarding the location where they were standing.

The dazzling white light instantly engulfed the rock where the two of them were, and the shattered rubble mixed with lightning fell into the magma lake below, stirring up bursts of fire waves.

The audience immediately erupted into cheers.

"Well done! Point-blank thunder strike!"

"This time that stone face should be electrocuted into charred coal!"

"Thor truly deserves to be Thor, this tactic is too smart, intentionally getting close and then unleashing an ultimate move!"

In the sky-full of dust and thunder light, Darkseid resolutely chose to let go and retreat.

But not now.

In this Universe, he could not obtain the supplementation of the dark divinity.

The Omega Energy in his body decreased by one fraction for every bit used.

Immediately, his massive body showed an agility completely inconsistent with his size, and the whole person translated backward like teleportation.

Seeing Dago retreat, Thor’s spirits greatly boosted.

"What’s wrong? Weren’t you going to treat gods as slaves? Why are you running!" Thor laughed heartily, "Where did that arrogant aura from just now go?"

Thor decided to press the attack.

He shouted loudly, and dazzling thunder erupted all over his body.

The electric light attached to his body like armor, launching a charge once again.

The stormbreaker opened and closed widely, carrying thunderous shrieks as it crazily chopped and slashed.

Dago still had his hands behind his back.

Before becoming the God King, what he was best at was physical combat techniques that crushed everything.
