Wen Xue didn’t lose her temper despite the realization that Chu Feng was teasing her. Instead, she looked at him with pleading eyes. “Help me, Junior Chu Feng. Your senior really needs it.”

“Senior, why are you so obstinate?” Chu Feng revealed a mischievous smile, making it obvious that he was indeed teasing Wen Xue.

Wen Xue rolled her eyes, but she quickly reverted to her pleading appearance. She even clasped her hands together and said, “Junior, I’m begging you. I’m desperate.”

She looked extremely sincere.

Before Chu Feng could reply, the entity beside Jie Tianran scoffed, “You’re begging him? Can’t you tell that your junior is cornered as well? Jie Tianran, stop playing around. It’s time to put an end to this farce. ”

“My thoughts exactly,” Jie Tianran replied.

Boom!

The red monstrous beast suddenly became two times larger, and its strength grew proportionately as well.

It was spirit power! It was weak, but there was no doubt it was Jie Tianran’s doing. He had somehow managed to manifest psyche here, and through it, he conjured this bit of spirit power.

“How is that possible? Has he been hiding that all along?” Wen Xue’s face crumbled in despair. She had already given it her all. She felt indignant, but there was nothing she could do.

“Senior, you can retract your energy now,” Chu Feng said.

“All right,” Wen Xue replied weakly. She resigned herself to fate and stopped channeling her bloodline power. It was meaningless to prolong the fight when the situation was hopeless.

Chu Feng’s tree suddenly grew even brighter.

Wen Xue was taken aback. How could the tree grow brighter when she had retracted her bloodline power from it? She turned to Chu Feng, and what she saw brought frenzied joy back to her face.

Somehow, Chu Feng was emanating psyche, and his psyche was stronger than Jie Tianran’s. With that, he reinforced his tree to the point where it could oppose the combined prowess of Jie Tianran and the entity.

“Junior Chu Feng, you were hiding such a means? Let me help you!” Wen Xue exclaimed.

But Chu Feng stopped her. “Take a rest, senior. I’ll handle them.”

He turned to Jie Tianran and said, “Old thing, do you think you’re the only one who obtained psyche? I obtained more than you.”

More lightning branches surged toward the red monstrous beast, raining torrential attacks on it.

“Jie Tianran, your grandson isn’t easy to deal with,” the entity remarked.

Jie Tianran didn’t say a word, but his face was livid. He began going all out, which caused his consciousness to weaken.

“Very well. Let’s see whose consciousness is stronger.”

Chu Feng further raised his power output, causing his consciousness to become so weak that a stronger wind might dissipate it. Yet, he held firm despite the furious winds raging all around.

Just then, Wen Xue’s bloodline power enveloped the tree.

“Go, junior! Screw them over!” she roared.

“You two seem to think I don’t exist.”

With Wen Xue rejoining the fray, the entity beside Jie Tianran also began going all out.

Both the red monstrous beast and the green tree had grown many times stronger than before, yet they remained almost equally matched. There was no clear victor between them.

Weng!

Moments later, a spirit formation gate appeared not too far away from them.

“Oh no,” Wen Xue murmured.

Her guess was on the mark. Shortly after the spirit formation gate appeared, the forest realm began crumbling apart.

“What the hell! We haven’t obtained a gu yet. Why did this realm start crumbling on its own?” Wen Xue angrily stomped her feet.

“There might have been a time limit before the realm collapses,” Chu Feng replied.

“Damn it.” Wen Xue was anxious.

“Looks like you won’t get what you want,” Jie Tianran snickered.

“Old thing, you insist on getting in my way, huh? Two can play the game.” Wen Xue glared at Jie Tianran.

“What can you do?” Jie Tianran revealed a revolting smile.

Just like that, the stalemate persisted. Neither side could defeat the other, so no one could claim the lotus or the gu.

Meanwhile, the realm continued collapsing toward them. Despite the realm’s massive size, it didn’t take long for the collapse to be right before them.

“Forget it, I’ll let you have it,” Jie Tianran said.

Much to Wen Xue’s astonishment, he halted his attack and rode the red monstrous beast away. It confused her why he would give up at this juncture, but she still looked at Chu Feng and said, “Junior.”

Chu Feng understood her intent. He nodded. “Go take it.”

Wen Xue ran up to the lotus and grabbed it.

Wu!

Her expression distorted the moment she grabbed the lotus. It was the lotus. It was attacking her even though it had shrunk to less than a meter tall. Fortunately, the pain was not beyond what she could bear. She gritted her teeth and pulled the lotus out.

She was about to turn to Chu Feng to brag about her success when her face suddenly stiffened.

A tiny surge of teleportation energy appeared from within the lotus, and it enveloped the gu. Then, the gu vanished before reappearing in Jie Tianran’s grasp.

It was a formation!

Jie Tianran had secretly constructed this teleportation formation while fighting against Chu Feng. He had pretended to give up earlier so that he could retrieve the gu in such a manner.

“Chu Feng, you’re still too young. It’s a good thing that there is still time. I hope you find a gu that is to your liking,” Jie Tianran scoffed before he entered the spirit formation gate with the red monstrous beast.

“That bastard! He’s too much. I’ll obliterate his Seven Realms Sacred Mansion,” Wen Xue cursed. She then turned to Chu Feng with an apologetic look. “I’m sorry, junior. It’s all because of me...”

She knew there was no time to find a new gu. If not to fight for her lotus, Chu Feng could have found another gu that was to his liking.

But Chu Feng smiled as if unfazed by the turn of events. “Don’t worry. There might be another way out.”

He compressed the tree until it fit on his palm before walking up to Wen Xue.
