Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress

Chapter 328 - 328: Ch 328: Haughty Magi

  • Next Chapter

This man was floating in the sky. And even when he was just standing in the middle of the sky and was doing nothing, people present here felt like bowing their heads to him in awe.

This feeling was present in Weiss's group too and the only people who were able to resist it quite well were all three of the ladies and Also Evan. The other four men were already feeling like falling onto their knees.

Weiss and Elise were able to resist this because of their realm of Grand knights.

Evan was able to resist it because of his high realm and because he was already used to this. And as for how how Sakura also managed to do the same thing, Weiss gusessed thar her mysterious talent was most probably the reason.

But even though they were able to resist whatever the magus was doing, Weiss told everyone to not show that. She had a feeling that standing out at this point would not be a good thing.

...

This situation lasted for a few minutes and slowly the pressure started to become lower. Then after a few more minutes, the mysterious pressure was gone and now the same floating man looked like just a regular person.

But this demonstration made the man to look even more frightening to the people present here. Someone who was able to hide his power this easily was more scary that a powerhouse with no control.

Weiss was keeping a close on the potential magus who was flying with her powerful eyes. And that was why, she had noticed how this person had not restrained his aura completely on his own and instead had used an item to make this happen.

But this truth did not really lower his prestige in Weiss's eyes. As Weiss had already fought a magic user before and had even defeated the person very easily, even she had some suspicion about the strength of a magus too. But now, all her confusion had disappeared.

Weiss was very sure that even if she and Elise attacked the person in the sky with all their might, he would still be unharmed even if their swords could reach him.

There was definitely a massive power gap between a magus apprentice and a true magus, just like what was the case for a knight and a knight apprentice.

While thinking about all this, Weiss remained cautious and kept a very close eye on everything happening around her. Soon, the magus started to get down from the sky.

And as soon as he did so, the door of the ship opened and many more people came out. But unlike the magus who was floating in the sky all on his own, these people were using some kind of board like objects to fly.

This was truly something astonishing for the people present here. Not only the magi were people who were able to break the sky, even weaker magi were capable of flying with the help of objects.

Then as the magus came down to the ground from the sky, the city lord immediately went to greet him and bowed before him very obediently.

Someone might find the city lord bowing like this to be unbelievable but after what had happened a just some time ago, it was only natural.

Weiss kept her eyes and ears ready. And then when the magi started to speak fluently in the language of this world, she was extremely surprised.

Just before he had started talking, Weiss had sensed a special energy that she had sensed before. So with this, she guessed that the magus here was using some kind of translation magic to hold this conversation.

This man looked like quite a haughty person which was not really something suprising. If a high and mighty magus was polite and humble, then that would have been suprising.

He introduced himself as Allain Mirhen, a 2nd Circle magi. He was here as the head overseer and was in charge of everything.

After saying this much, it looked like he was unwilling to talk anymore. So one of the people who were in the floating board took over for him.

He turned out be someone who was working as the secretary for master Alllain. So, he was also allowed to speak on his behalf. His name was Glennis Teran.

Then Glennis told Ushida that this time, this ship was sponsored by three orginisations which were Shadow Crevice Mountain, Starlight institution of Rek-aira and Kremsaw Society.

So the selected people would be able to join one of these three orginisations or an affiliated party related to them.

Now, Weiss had absolutely no idea what these three orginisations were and when she asked Evan about them, he shook his head.

The world of the magi was extremely vast. So if the orginisation in question were not very big or extremely famous, then it was basically impossible for all the inhabitants of the world of the magi to know about them.

Now this was a little troubling. Without knowing anything about these three places, how could Weiss even decide which one of them would be a better option for her.

So Weiss was hoping that someone would give an explanation about these three places. Even just knowing about their speciality or values would be useful.

But for that, Weiss needed to wait. Currently, a very interesting conversation was happening between the city lord and the magi representative.

Even though this person was quite polite when he was talking, it was him just being polite for the sake of it. Actually, he had absolutely no respect for Ushida here.

What he was saying was said in a polite tone of voice but they were actually orders that the city lord here could not refuse and he could only nod his head in agreement.

There were quite a few demands that Glennis was putting forward. Firstly, he told him that the ship was going to stay here for 5 days. And the selection process would start from the next day onwards.

The city lord did not need to worry about the lodging of the people who had came here in the ship as no one was interested in staying in this terrible manaless world. But some of his colleagues might visit the city for fun and in that case, the city lord needed to support them with all his might.

He also needed to handle the procedure to gather the people for the selection test. And magi would only be conducting the test and everything else would be left to Ushida.

If he managed to do a good job without creating any problem for the magi, then he would be rewarded. But if he did something to piss off any of the magi, then he would be getting a punishment which was going to be more unpleasant than simply dying.

So this was how first day with the arrival of the magic ship started.
