Chapter 1494: Regina’s Unwavering Thoughts Will Echo Back (Part 1)

When Jose Floyd was lost in thought, Regina had already asked the boss for two milk ice creams. She turned around and smiled sweetly at the distracted Jose Floyd, and called out, "Uncle."

Jose Floyd brought Regina to some steps by the entrance of a mall near the night market to sit down.

"Uncle, you have some too." Regina handed one of the ice creams she was holding to Jose Floyd, the smile at the corner of her mouth making him feel a sense of familiarity.

Jose Floyd gently shook his head, "You eat it, Uncle doesn’t need any."

Regina didn’t take it back, and looked at Jose Floyd while gently saying, "Mom says... only one..."

Jose Floyd took the ice cream, "Does your mom only let you have one each time?"

Regina nodded, "Eating more— makes my tummy hurt."

Jose Floyd gave an understanding smile, took a small taste of the ice cream Regina gave him, and seeing Regina eagerly waiting for his reaction, he smiled faintly, "Not bad, Regina, you’re good at finding tasty treats."

Receiving the compliment, Regina smiled happily, showing her white teeth, looking especially cute.

They sat there, one big and one small, eating with synchronized movements, attracting the gazes of many passersby in the bustling night market with Jose Floyd’s coolness and Regina’s cuteness.

After finishing the ice cream, Jose Floyd looked at his watch, "Regina, Uncle has important things to do tomorrow, so I can’t stay with you. I’ll leave you with these kind folks around, is that okay? Your mom should also be back soon."

He only had three days before he had to go abroad to Italy, and today was already spent on the journey, leaving just two days to revisit the hometown where she grew up. Time was particularly tight.
