Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming!
Chapter 1479: Do You Prefer Boys or Girls?
Ariel Morris looked up to see Jose Floyd’s car.
Ariel Morris smiled slightly and got into the car with the three children.
"Uncle, Uncle, why are you here? It’s been a long time. Did you miss me?" Ryan Seys hadn’t seen Jose Floyd for a long time and was exceptionally excited, shouting as soon as he got into the car.
Jose Floyd was momentarily dazed by the shout of ’Uncle.’ The driver behind honked to remind him to drive, bringing him back to his senses. He started the car and replied to Ryan in a calm tone, "I didn’t expect you to be so grown up already."
If he and Nicole’s first child were still alive, they would be this age too.
The loss of two children and Nicole was the lifelong pain he carried.
Ariel Morris detected the sadness in his words and felt a bit heartbroken, so she quickly changed the topic, "This kid is just randomly calling out. Don’t take it to heart. By the way, Jose Floyd, why are you waiting outside instead of leaving?"
Jose Floyd looked straight ahead, responding indifferently, "I just happened to have nothing to do, so I waited a bit. This is a school district, and it’s quite hard to get a taxi at this time in the afternoon."
His words were succinct, but Ariel Morris paused for a moment. She had never imagined that Jose Floyd, a person so indifferent, would one day become so considerate, as if he had turned into someone entirely different.
"Uncle Floyd, you haven’t come to our house to play for a long time." Iris Seys called sweetly.
Jose Floyd didn’t expect that the two kids from the Seys Family would still remember him and even like such a cold person as him. Watching Iris’s sweet smile in the back seat through the rearview mirror, Jose Floyd felt a trace of warmth in his heart, and even his voice softened a bit, "Uncle has been busy lately. When I have time, I’ll bring lots of toys over for you and your brother."
"Thank you, Uncle." With the promise of toys, Iris’s face showed a more apparent innocent smile and her voice became even more sweet.
Through the rearview mirror, Jose Floyd looked at Ariel Morris’s two children and involuntarily thought about his own two lost children.
In this life, will he never have such adorable little ones?
Because she died, and no one else is qualified to give him children except her—
Along the way, besides the children playing around, Jose Floyd and Ariel Morris did not speak another word.
Upon reaching the Seys Family’s place, Ariel Morris said thank you and got off with the children.
"Uncle, have you visited Aunt? Don’t forget my Aunt, she liked you so much. I once saw her crying alone in her room holding the pearl earrings you gave her. My Aunt really, really liked you; she just never said it." Mentioning his Aunt, Ryan’s throat felt a bit hoarse, and his eyes inadvertently reddened.
Floyd too had gotten used to Ryan calling him Uncle, nodding lightly, "I won’t forget, I won’t forget your Aunt. Actually, I have always liked your Aunt; I just never said it out loud. Ryan, I have always felt your Aunt didn’t die, but now seeing how much you miss her, I suddenly think maybe there really is no miracle in this lifetime."
Ariel Morris carried the children’s hands, and upon hearing Jose Floyd’s words, her gaze grew complex. She glanced inside the car and saw the deep sorrow in Jose Floyd’s eyes, her heart slightly heavy.
For lovers who have experienced numerous storms yet never come together, such outcomes are most heart-wrenching.
Ariel Morris pressed her lips gently, "Jose Floyd... do you prefer boys or girls?"
Sorrow flickered across Jose Floyd’s eyes, his voice husky, "To me, they are both invaluable treasures that I cannot possess. Perhaps I owe her too much; even the heavens cannot tolerate it, so it lets me spend my life alone."
