Chapter 1923: A Different History

There is countless of people in this civilization and the civilization itself is thriving all over the ground, the mountains and even far away from the river.

There is a trend of thriving, there is trade, there is beauty but also ugliness.

However, they are progressing. And their progression and their technology should not have existed in that time period.

However, this civilization while it is ahead of its time, it was not so ahead that one could say it broke all cognition.

It is just that certain technologies that most historian think should not exist in this time period, already existed.

Their ability to create all kinds of monuments and buildings, to organizing a clean city, and organizing all kinds of construction works shows that their abilities and their technologies are miles ahead from what the historian thought that they could do.

But then this civilization was interrupted.

Two beings are duelling with each other near the Indus civilization

“In those age, these being would be considered as Gods” Azief thought to himself. And these being did not pull back.

Each punches and each kick created large catastrophe.

With each of their strike, they created earthquakes, activated volcanic eruption, landslide all over the area, sinkhole and avalanche on the snow-capped mountains.

For those cities that are near coastal regiosn, because of the fight of these two beings, a fifteen feet tsunami erupted

Hurricanes of all kinds batters the area that would later be India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Flash flood washed away villages and cities, and as these two beings fight each other, one side is covered with extreme heat that burns the forest.

While the other is suffering from extreme cold, freezing all living beings.

Hailstorm, dust storm, sandstorm, all kinds of storms erupted as these two beings fight intensified.

The Indus civilization become a duelling grounds for two gods.

And if these are not enough, a weapon that seem similar to nuclear weapon was detonated in ancient times

“Though, it is quite different from the nuclear weapons on Earth before the Fall.”

When it is detonated, it pulverizes everything in its radius of destruction.

It pulverises anything inside the area until nothing is left. No particles and no any sense of existence.

It is like magic.

Wherever the blast travels, it erases existence

Azief could sense if there is radiation. But there isn’t one.

There is no radiation, no explosion that polluted the heaven and earth, no crater, just pure annihilation.

This weapon simply eradicated everything and turns everything into nothingness the moment it detonated in an area.

But Indus civilization is not the only place there are these “Gods” fighting.

Azief could see there is all kinds of gods fighting all over the world

There is all kinds of gods fighting in ancient Rome and that war stretched back from the time of ancient Greece

When Azief trace back this part of the story, it traces back even further than that.

Even before Zeus is called Zeus, before the myths of these gods even appears, Zues was already there, so is some of his children, like Apollo, Ares, Artemis.

Before the civilization of the ancient Greece, they have different names and they exhibit different behaviour, and the virtues and failings are different from the myths of Olympians.

But then they arrived and they uses some kind of magic to plant themselves in the consciousness of the people of that area

It is not like a hypnosis. It is more like to exist in the hearts

But for them to achieve this, they also have to show their divinity, to do something on Earth that could last, whether it be some kind of technology, cultures or even worships

There was gods and demons and devils in other parts of the world to

There was in ancient China, dragons that brough rain, flying immortals, but they are hidden behind the clouds and one could not easily see them

In in the Steppe, they also have their own gods, mixed with the other myths of the other tribes that have seen these beings that descended from the sky

Even in the coldness of the Siberia, there are people living in the coldness that worship gods that sometimes shielded them from the cold of the world and brings fire in a land where fire should not exists

in the lands of Aztecs, terrifying demons and evil creatures like they came out of a Cthulhu minds walks the land

There is these beings fighting and living in the land of the Americas. All over the world they leave their traces one way or another

Some were even older than recorded histories.

When he is in this scenery, Azief could zoom in.

But he zoom in not only the scenery but also the time period.

He could see the traces of these beings.

Some could be traced back to the age of the dinosaur.

Azief even saw how Odin arrived on Earth during the Age of dinosaur, fought a few titanic dinosaur, killed them and then disappeared in a flashing rainbow light

The Bifrost teleported him away.

But that scene is still shocking. It is not about the magic that Odin performed that shocked him

It was something else

He sees with his own eyes, that Odin came to Earth, millions of years even before the name of Odin was spoken of in the land of the Vikings.

Maybe before he was Odin, he has many other names and he appears in many forms throughout human history.

Maybe all of those gods are the same like Odin

In a way, Azief felt like Odin is trying to tell him something here. Maybe he is trying to tell him about the gods

And that Divine Stamp. He learned about the Divine Stamp in the blue crystal. But it is not used by the Etherna simply because the Etherna look down on it

Arrogance after all is like an innate trait of the Etherna

Azief keep observing all of these beings fighting all over the world over different time periods.

Many of them fight above the sky. It is like they are actively trying to avoid implicating the mortals. But there are also some that did not care at all about the mortals below them and fight near cities and villages and wherever they passed, no living beings would be left

But even those who tries to actively not trying to involve the mortals unintentionally involve the mortals

Sometimes, their fight would spill toward the cities below them.

Azief could see their fight because his level and his realm is high enough.

But the mortals below, all they could see is probably only flashes of light clashing each other.

Because their movement would be so fast even for their eyes to capture. All they could see is blurry images and how the fight progress is anyone guess

They would not be like him that could see where each fist and strikes goes

But then Azief saw something else.

“Ah, that place full of mysteries and wonders” Azief mutters to himself.

He was always curious about that place and about the truth of that place

What he would see probably would erase all the historians thought about that place

After all, he had seen that the ancient past of Earth is not as normal as most historians thinks.

Historians themselves have many different opinion. Of course, there are the mainstream historians and the not so mainstream opinion

Does the mainstream opinion is always right? No. But does that mean all unconventional opinion are right?

That is also not true.

The truth sometimes is in between.

That is what Azief had always believed when he is faced with decision that deals with truth and lies between two people

But in history, things is a bit different than that

Sometimes, the truth is in between.

Sometimes, the truth has escaped far away from the thoughts of any historians that studied it. And sometimes, the historians nearly nail the mark

The thing about history is that it is always full of speculations.

Even when there is records about certain people, without context, the truth would always elude even the most studious historians

Any civilization that kept record about their history also is prone to deleting, erasing and changing their history based on the political power at that time or according to their beliefs and faith

And even if one could have a true unblemished, untainted history book that recorded everything accurately, that history book itself is not free from tampering of the future generation to satisfy or to beautify certain things about themselves

After all, before the Fall, some nations change their histories of the past to justify invasion or to justify atrocities.

Stereotypes, faiths, anything that could be used to slander the “enemy” would be used

Even histories would be changed.

History has always been complex and hard to judge.

Because once a future descendant make the mistake of judging the past people according to the culture and thoughts of the future, the future descendants has already made a mistake

And history itself is not gradual.

It is easy and comforting to think that humans reach the modern age step by step. But history are not like that. Not on other planets and not on Earth.
