Chapter 308: Slaughtering the Six Saver Guild (5)

  • Next Chapter

The Guild Master scrambled backward, pressing himself against the shattered remnants of his desk. He stared at the emotionless girl standing in the doorway, his face pale with absolute terror.

"Who... who the hell are you?!" the Guild Master stuttered, his voice cracking. "Why are you doing all of this?! What do you want?!"

The maid girl tilted her head slightly, her dark eyes scanning the cowering executives and investors. "Who is the one named Guild Master here?" she asked, her tone perfectly flat. "Solomon has asked me to deliver a message to you."

The wealthy investors exchanged desperate glances.

"Who is Solomon?!" the lead investor shouted, desperately pulling a thick stack of platinum credit chips from his jacket pocket. "Is he the one who hired you to do this? How much is he paying you?! We will pay you double! No, we will pay you triple whatever he offered! Just name your price!"

The maid girl completely ignored the desperate bribes. She kept her gaze locked entirely on the terrified Guild Master.

"Solomon asked me to tell the person named Guild Master that guilds exist for the people, to the people, and by the people," she recited, her voice echoing clearly through the ruined office. "Your sworn duty is to protect and serve the innocent. You are supposed to be protectors. You are supposed to be savers. You are meant to act as the shields of the people, standing tall to protect those who cannot protect themselves against the horrors of the dungeons."

She took a step into the office, crushing a piece of shattered steel beneath her sandal.

"A guild is a beacon of hope in a world filled with chaos and monsters," she continued, delivering the profound message with chilling apathy. "When you abandon that sacred duty to prey upon the very citizens you swore to defend, when you orchestrate tragedies for profit and hoard wealth built on the blood of the desperate, you forfeit your humanity. Those who fail to uphold their duty should no longer be considered people. You are simply monsters hiding in human skin."

She lowered her arms, her posture relaxing into a loose stance. "And it is an adventurer’s job to exterminate all monsters from the world so there can finally be peace."

She took a final step forward. "So, let there be peace."

The Guild Master roared in desperation. He activated his S-rank innate talent, ’Titan’s Wrath’. His muscles bulged grotesquely, tearing through his expensive suit as his skin hardened into thick layers of armor. He lunged forward, swinging fists the size of boulders, fully intending to crush the small girl into paste.

The maid girl raised her brow seeing something familiar. She stepped inside his lumbering swing, raising her hand to catch his fist.

The impact cracked the floorboards beneath her, but her arm did not budge a single millimeter. The Guild Master’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief as his ultimate, armor-piercing strike was stopped dead by a slender, bare palm.

She squeezed her fingers. The indestructible armor covering his fist spiderwebbed with cracks before shattering entirely, crushing the bones in his hand into powder.

"ARGH!!!" The Guild Master screamed in agony.

Before he could try anything else, she spun on her heel, driving a kick directly into his armored ribs.

The force sheared completely through the plating, caving his chest inward. The Guild Master was launched backward, crashing through the floor-to-ceiling glass window and plummeting down the side of the skyscraper to the streets below.

The Chief Legal Counsel scrambled toward the door, his hands glowing with complex binding magic. "Wait! I have political connections! I can make—!"

The maid girl blurred into motion, appearing directly in front of him. "I am not interested in anything. Solomon said politics bad." She drove an open-palm strike upward, shattering his jaw and snapping his neck instantly.

The remaining investors backed themselves into a corner, throwing their platinum chips and gold watches at her feet in a pathetic, desperate display.

"Take it all!" the lead investor pleaded, tears streaming down his face. "We can give you anything! We can make you a queen! Why are you serving someone when you are so strong?! Name your price!"

"I am a maid," she responded simply, stepping over the scattered wealth. "I am not interested in anything other than serving Solomon. I live for him. I will do what he asks."

She moved mercilessly. She grabbed the lead investor by the collar and hurled him against the marble wall, making a paste out of him. The other executives tried to flee, but she intercepted them effortlessly, delivering bone-crushing strikes that ended their lives in fractions of a second.

Within moments, the luxurious executive office was completely silent, save for the whistling wind blowing through the shattered glass window.

The entire leadership of the Six Savers guild, and the corrupt investors pulling their strings, had been completely exterminated.

The maid girl stood amidst the carnage, her denim skirt and cotton t-shirt was burned and stained from the edges.

She frowned as she checked herself out in the mirror to see where else the clothes were damaged.

"This was the first thing he gave me.... and I already ruined it..." she muttered. "Will he abandon me for this...?"

She recalled her time in the city of the giant and how lonely she was with no one to talk to. She did not want to go back there. She did not want to be alone or be abandoned again.

"I... I will apologize to him..."

She looked around the ruined office, ensuring absolutely no one was left breathing, before turning around and calmly walking back toward the elevator to return to Solomon.

She left the building and then walked back to the path she had come from.

It was past midnight, and the streets were empty. Solomon had told her to run away and hide in a place with no people around in case she heard the sound of sirens, but there was nothing.

She ‌returned to the city park and she glanced around to find Solomon and Paul, but neither of them were there.

She recalled Solomon had told her that he also had to do some monster hunting, so she should wait for him until he returned. So she found a nice spot to sit and patiently waited for Solomon to return, hoping that she wasn’t abandoned by him.
