Chapter 307: Slaughtering the Six Saver Guild (4)
A while later the elevator descended as the number dropped and then the door opened. Inside was one of the investors, who at first was shocked to see the elevator stopping at the floor he hadn’t chosen, but then he was baffled to see the maid girl.
The maid girl stepped into the elevator, completely unfazed by the terrified investor cowering in the corner. She reached out and pressed the button for the top floor.
The investor remained pressed against the back wall, his face pale, clutching a leather briefcase to his chest. However, the elevator did not go up. The digital numbers began to descend, following the original command the investor had selected before she boarded.
It smoothly traveled all the way down to the ground floor lobby. The doors slid open with a soft chime, revealing the shattered glass and broken bodies littering the entrance.
The maid girl simply stood patiently, waiting for the investor to exit. The man, however, was absolutely paralyzed by fear. He stared at the carnage in the lobby, then stared at the emotionless girl, completely refusing to move a single muscle.
After a few seconds, the elevator doors slid shut again. The elevator finally registered her command and began a silent ascent toward the executive suite.
The ride was quiet. The digital display ticked upward until it finally reached the top floor, and the doors slid open with a gentle chime.
The maid girl stepped out into the carpeted hallway.
Just as her back was turned, the terrified investor made a desperate, cowardly move. He dropped his briefcase, pulled a concealed, high-caliber, mana-infused pistol from his jacket pocket, and aimed it directly at the back of her head, pulling the trigger.
The maid girl didn’t even turn around. She simply raised her hand and swatted backward with the back of her palm, moving with a speed that defied human perception.
The slap connected instantly. The investor’s head vanished in a spray of crimson, his neck completely sheared off by the sheer force of the casual backhand. His headless body crumpled to the elevator floor, the fired bullet having sparked harmlessly against her dense skull.
She glanced back at the fallen man, her dark eyes entirely devoid of remorse. "Solomon instructed me not to harm anyone who does not intend to harm me," she stated simply.
She turned her attention back to the hallway.
The entire corridor leading to the Guild Master’s office was heavily fortified. The strongest, highest-ranking members of the Six Savers guild were assembled there, forming an impenetrable defensive line.
These were A-rank veterans, elite spellcasters, and heavily armored tanks who had conquered the most dangerous dungeons in the region.
"Hold the line!" the Vice Guild Master shouted from behind a massive, conjured barricade of solid steel. "Do not let her reach the office!"
The maid girl tilted her head, observing the glowing magical arrays and the drawn weapons. She took a slow step forward.
An elite gravity-mage stepped out from the formation. He slammed his glowing palms onto the carpet, activating his S-rank talent. "Gravity Well: One Hundred Fold!"
The air around the maid girl visibly warped. The floorboards beneath her feet groaned and splintered under the sudden, crushing weight of gravity magnified a hundred times over. Normal men would have been instantly crushed into a bloody paste, their bones shattering under their own body weight.
The guild members smirked, believing the threat was neutralized.
The maid girl looked down at her feet, finding the magical phenomenon genuinely fascinating. She lifted her right foot, feeling the slight resistance, and simply stepped forward again.
The gravity-mage’s eyes widened in sheer terror. "Impossible! She is ignoring the gravitational pull!"
She blurred into motion.
She closed the distance in a fraction of a second, appearing directly in front of the gravity-mage. She drove a straight, open-palm strike into his chest. The impact shattered his ribs and launched him backward, his body crashing violently into the steel barricade with a sickening crunch.
"Fire at will!" the Vice Guild Master screamed.
A barrage of high-tier magic erupted down the hallway. Blazing infernos, sharp ice spears, and crackling bolts of chain lightning slammed directly into her. The corridor was engulfed in a blinding explosion of elemental destruction, scorching the walls and melting the carpet.
When the smoke cleared, the maid girl stood perfectly unharmed in the center of the scorched hallway. Her cotton t-shirt was slightly singed, but her skin remained absolutely flawless.
She grabbed the nearest attacker, who was a heavily armored Vanguard holding a massive tower shield. She ripped the shield directly out of his grip, and swung the metal slab like a frisbee, hurling it down the hallway. The shield sliced through the air, decapitating three elite swordsmen before embedding itself deep into the wall.
A dual-wielding rogue activated his speed-enhancing talent, darting behind her to deliver a flurry of poisoned dagger strikes to her spine. The daggers sparked and chipped against her skin.
She didn’t even bother turning around. She simply kicked backward like a mule, her heel sinking deep into the rogue’s stomach, folding him completely in half and sending him crashing into the ceiling.
She wove through the elite defenders. She caught a swinging battle hammer, crushed the steel head with her bare grip, and drove her knee into the attacker’s groin, lifting him off the floor before slamming her elbow into his spine to break his back.
A geomancer desperately raised a thick wall of solid granite to block her path. The maid girl threw a right hook, punching completely through the solid rock as if it were wet cardboard, grabbing the terrified geomancer by the throat on the other side, and violently dragging him through the hole she had just created.
Blood pooled on the ruined carpet. Broken bodies littered the hallway. The strongest fighters the Six Savers guild had to offer were being systematically dismantled in a matter of minutes by a girl using nothing but violence.
She finally reached the reinforced barricade protecting the Guild Master’s office. The Vice Guild Master now stood behind it, trembling violently, holding a glowing, S-rank magical artifact designed to repel any physical attack.
The maid girl simply raised her fist, drew her arm back, and punched the barricade with everything she had.
The impact sounded like a bomb detonating. The reinforced steel buckled, tore off its hinges, and exploded inward. The heavy metal slab crushed the Vice Guild Master instantly, tearing through the office doors and crashing violently into the massive desk where the Guild Master and the remaining investors were cowering in terror.
The maid girl stepped through the ruined doorway, her dark eyes locking onto the terrified executives.
