Investing in the Three Villainesses Gives Me Infinite Returns
Chapter 152: Everything Is Spinning!
Stella lay sprawled across Elias’s bed, her crimson hair scattered messily across her face, and after a few moments, her eyes finally trembled open.
The moment she realized she was awake, she immediately pushed herself upright, a wide smile spreading across her sleepy face.
She looked around the room, expecting to find either Big Sister Natasha or her husband nearby, but neither of them was there.
Normally, she would have frowned or started searching for them, yet over the past few days, she had been far too happy to worry about that.
The strange mumblings had finally stopped.
That stupid auntie who was always whispering inside her head had disappeared, and Stella could no longer hear her telling her that Elias and Big Sister Natasha were her enemies. The auntie had even insisted that Natasha was trying to steal her husband from her, which Stella had always found ridiculous because Natasha was already Elias’s wife.
Whenever the mumblings became particularly loud, Stella had liked sleeping beside either Natasha or Elias because their presence seemed to make the voice quieter.
But now she didn’t need to do that anymore.
The mumblings were gone.
She should have been happy.
Instead, Stella’s smile slowly disappeared.
"But I want to sleep with them..." she mumbled.
Her eyes trembled, and her expression became heavy with worry as she stared down at the blanket.
"Can I not sleep with them anymore?"
’Uwah! What do I do?’
She tried desperately to come up with an answer, but her thoughts only became more confused.
Then the door opened.
Elias stepped into the room with Natasha in his arms, and the instant they entered, Elias froze as he noticed Stella sitting on the bed with a deeply troubled expression.
Stella stared at them for a moment before her gaze fell upon Natasha being carried in Elias’s arms.
Her eyes widened, then she immediately jumped down from the bed and began hopping excitedly.
"Me too! Me too!"
He looked at her with an amused smile, while Natasha’s face became slightly flushed.
She had been hoping for something else, as she had thought of a new way to satisfy her shameless husband.
Of course, she probably wasn’t doing it because she needed the affection herself!
...Maybe a little.
"Okay, okay. Calm down," Elias said with a small chuckle before sending a Mental Whisper toward Natasha. [She wants me to hold her in my arms. Can you get off?]
Natasha looked at him, then she looked away with a small pout.
Without saying anything, she stepped down from his embrace, walked over to the bed, and sat down.
Elias stared at her for a moment.
"..."
He honestly had no idea what he was supposed to do with that reaction.
For now, however, he decided to shift his attention toward Stella. He had been spending most of his time focusing on Natasha and Monica lately, so he felt a little guilty about neglecting Stella.
"Come," he said, opening his arms.
"Yeah!" Stella shouted cheerfully.
She stopped hopping and allowed Elias to pick her up, and once she was comfortably settled in his arms, she immediately pointed toward the open space around them.
"Spin!"
Elias looked down at her and chuckled.
"As you wish, My Lady," he said before beginning to turn around on his feet.
Stella immediately burst into laughter.
"Call me wife!"
"As you wish, my wife," Elias replied, laughing as he continued spinning.
"Everything is spinning!" Stella exclaimed.
"No, we are the only ones spinin—"
"Shut up!" Stella interrupted with a playful glare. "Everything is spinning."
Elias paused for a moment before nodding solemnly.
"It is just as you say, my wife."
Stella’s expression immediately brightened.
"Good boy."
Natasha watched the two of them from the corner of her eye, a faint smile appearing on her face. However, her left hand remained tightly wrapped around the handkerchief.
For Natasha, sound had long since disappeared from the world, and because of that, her senses of touch, taste, vision, and smell had become much stronger.
Lately, Elias’s scent had an inexplicably euphoric effect on her.
The handkerchief was no different.
To her, it almost felt like a part of Elias, a small piece of him that she could keep close no matter where he went.
She held it firmly against herself, her fingers tightening around the fabric.
Meanwhile, Elias continued spinning until Stella finally began to wobble slightly in his arms.
After a few more turns, he stopped and carefully placed her back on the ground.
Stella swayed for a moment before leaning against him.
"My head is spinning," she mumbled.
Elias smiled knowingly.
He was certain she was exaggerating.
Even though Stella’s current personality was that of a child, her body still belonged to a Monarch, so a little spinning certainly wouldn’t have affected her this much.
’So cute.’
The thought appeared naturally in his mind, and he briefly considered reaching out to rub her cheeks.
However, he decided to keep that thought to himself.
Stella remained pressed against him for several seconds before suddenly straightening her back.
She rose onto her toes and planted a quick kiss against his cheek.
"Here is your reward," she announced proudly.
Elias blinked.
His hand instinctively rose to touch the spot where she had kissed him, and a warm smile soon spread across his face.
"Thank you, my wife," he said.
Stella grinned happily, seemingly pleased with herself.
Natasha, however, froze.
Her golden eyes widened as she stared at Stella and then at Elias.
Her fingers tightened around the handkerchief.
’I also want to kiss his cheeks!’
The thought surfaced with startling intensity, and a faint flush spread across her face.
She stared at Elias with an expression filled with affection and a hint of jealousy.
It appeared Elias’s days were numbered.
Stella walked over to the bed, and Elias’s thoughts returned to the earlier conversation with Monica.
Apparently, she didn’t know anything about demons, mons which was strange considering the Mage Tower had managed to store most of the world’s knowledge even after that event.
Perhaps what they called most was actually a little fraction, like a water drop in a sea.
’Sword Spirit did say Spiritualists know about demons... I should ask Natasha.’
