Slap!

Bree’s other companion, Rainn, raised his hand and struck Hayden across the face with a hard slap.

"Hayden, what immense nerve you have! When has the Female Master’s decision ever allowed room for your input?"

The moment Rainn finished speaking, Cass, who was standing beside him, chimed in agreement. "Rainn is completely right. Hayden, the Female Master is doing this to ensure absolute certainty. Do you actually want Sylas to gamble all of us away?"

Hayden glared at the two of them in anger. "I didn’t think that at all! I simply trust Sylas’s strength!"

Rainn let out a cold sneer. "Heh, you trust Sylas’s strength, but we certainly don’t. That Snow Realm young master, Xarion, gained a ferocious reputation years ago. I actually doubt Sylas is a match for him. Don’t let Sylas’s arrogance ruin all of us!"

Having said that, Rainn turned to Bree with a fawning expression. "Female Master, I’m saying the right thing, aren’t I?"

Bree nodded with a smile. "Indeed, Rainn is quite right."

Receiving Bree’s validation, Rainn raised his eyebrows triumphantly at Hayden and Sylas. "Did you two hear that? Even the Female Master praised me for being right!"

Both Sylas and Hayden glared at him with rage-filled eyes.

Meeting their furious glares, Rainn declared arrogantly, "What are you two looking at?! Sylas, why haven’t you chugged down the potion yet?!"

Sylas pursed his lips and kept his head down, remaining motionless.

"So you refuse to be obedient, huh?!" Enraged, Rainn strode over and grabbed Sylas firmly by the collar. "How dare you defy the Female Master’s words! I’m going to teach you a proper lesson today!"

With that, he dragged Sylas by the collar toward the door. "Female Master, I’ll help you give Sylas a good beating and force that potion straight down his throat. Don’t worry, I guarantee that once we reach the Divine Battlefield, he will win against Xarion even if it kills him!"

Cass quickly held Bree’s arm. "Female Master, Rainn is right. Sylas is so disobedient to you, he deserves a good lesson."

Watching Rainn drag Sylas out, Hayden grew somewhat anxious. "Female Master, Sylas is about to battle Xarion soon. Isn’t it bad to let Rainn beat him up right now?"

"What’s bad about it?" Cass glared at Hayden. "Rainn isn’t someone without discretion—he certainly won’t genuinely hurt Sylas. On the other hand, look at you, Hayden. You dare disobey the Female Master’s words as well. Are you trying to betray the Female Master?!"

"I’m not!" Hayden hastily explained, "Female Master, don’t listen to Cass’s nonsensical slander. I will never betray you!"

"Alright, stop arguing, both of you." Bree sat on the sofa, rubbing the space between her brows. "Sylas is disobedient, so letting Rainn teach him a small lesson and make him drink the potion is fine. After all, the person battling Sylas is Xarion, and Xarion is no simple opponent."

Outside.

Rainn hauled Sylas into an empty lounge. With a sharp bang, he slammed the door shut.

"So, how was my acting?" Rainn glanced at the potion vial in his hand, pulled out a box from his spatial ring, carefully tucked the potion inside, and stored it away in his ring.

Sylas nodded. "Not bad. She shouldn’t be suspicious."

Rainn curled his lip. "How disgusting. I’ve lived for so many years, never imagining that instead of finding a real Female Master, I’d end up finding a bug." The mere thought made Rainn want to vomit.

He patted Sylas on the shoulder and whispered right into his ear, "Brother, don’t take offense at what I’m about to say, but... I don’t think you’re a match for Xarion. How about once we get to the Divine Battlefield, you just surrender directly? That way, we can all become that female Rory’s companions instead. We haven’t actually formed a genuine mate bond with this bug anyway, so even if we gamble ourselves away, we won’t die."

Sylas glanced at him and offered a stern reminder, "I advise you to drop that idea. I can’t even beat Xarion, and Rory has Vincent and Vangar by her side. Do you think they would ever agree to let us stay by Rory’s side?"

Rainn pouted. "What does it have to do with them? As long as Rory agrees, no matter how unwilling they are, they’ll just have to suck it up." No matter how powerful Vincent and Vangar were, could they really disobey their Female Master?

Sylas felt that Vangar and Vincent definitely would, not to mention Yuel was there as well. That man could make them disappear forever without even having to inform Rory.

Sylas pursed his lips, not wanting to continue the topic. He said to Rainn, "Time is short. Hurry up and leave a few light injuries on me to play the part to the end, so she doesn’t suspect anything."

Rainn nodded. "Then bear with it a bit."

Before long, the airship arrived at the Divine Battlefield.

When Bree stepped out of her quarters, she saw Rainn standing triumphantly by her door. Sylas stood beside him with minor bruises on the corner of his mouth.

Seeing Bree come out, Rainn immediately plastered on a flattering smile and said submissively, "Female Master, I’ve already taught Sylas a lesson and fed him the potion. You can rest completely easy."

Bree nodded, her eyes lingering on Sylas. "Sylas, don’t blame me. I was simply too terrified of losing you all, which was why I made you drink that potion. Don’t worry, it won’t harm you in any way—it will only boost your explosive output."

"Speaking of which, it’s your own fault. Why on earth did you go and make a bet with Xarion in the first place?" Having said that, Bree took Sylas’s hand. "Forget it, I’m not angry with you anymore. Once you beat Xarion, I’ll reward you properly when we return."

Suppressing the nausea rising in his stomach, Sylas spoke in a low voice, "The Female Master is right. This matter was indeed my fault for taking initiative without permission. The Female Master gave me the potion for my own good—I shouldn’t have refused."

"It’s good that you understand." Bree was thoroughly pleased with Sylas’s obedience. Lowly beastmen... they ought to be slaves to us Zerg.

"Rory’s airship has arrived as well. Let’s head out."

With that, Bree stepped out of the airship alongside Sylas.

Inside the Divine Battlefield.

Watching Bree approach with Sylas and her other companions, Rory led Vincent and the rest out of their airship to meet them. Yu Xue’s airship was slower and had yet to arrive.

Looking at Bree as she stepped down from her airship, Rory spoke directly, "Bree, let’s not waste time. Have Xarion and Sylas start immediately."

Bree hadn’t expected Rory to be in such a hurry, but she smiled and nodded. "Sure, whatever you say."

Just as Bree finished speaking and turned to command Sylas to move, a flash of golden light burst before her eyes! Completely caught off guard, she was hit by a coordinated ambush from Sylas, Hayden, and Rainn, sending her body flying backward through the air.

Being a rank-thirteen Zerg, however, meant that even with Sylas, Hayden, and Rainn striking simultaneously, she remained uninjured. She was merely knocked backward.

Stabilizing her footing in mid-air, Bree glared at Sylas and the other males in shock and fury. "Sylas, have you all gone mad?! How dare you raise a hand against me?!"

Hayden glared back at Bree with pure rage. "Disgusting Zerg bug! You tricked us—you deserve to die!"

Bree’s eyes narrowed dangerously in an instant. "You actually know my identity?!"

When on earth was her identity exposed? Bree racked her brain, yet she couldn’t pinpoint a single flaw she had shown.
