Chapter 269: Chapter 269: The Solution, Magic Scissors

Brandon Barton’s blade flashes remained as sharp as ever.

Victor Sharp’s Shield was steady as a rock.

Sean Chandler’s cat-like movements were elusive and unpredictable.

Philip Jensen’s Frozen abilities provided crowd control.

Justin Brooks’s Stone Wall was constantly being repaired.

Even the pale-faced Heath Summers was gritting his teeth, maintaining small-scale weather manipulation to interfere with the rabbit horde...

All of the top combatants were already giving it their all.

But the Power and bizarre traits displayed by this Splitting Demon Rabbit still struck fear into everyone’s hearts.

In the Central Base command center, the atmosphere grew increasingly heavy as they observed the battle through Gordon Chandler’s "eyes."

Gordon Chandler himself was secretly dumbfounded.

His brow was furrowed in a tight frown.

’How did this Monster Rabbit’s defense and Recovery Power suddenly get so strong? Was it that sudden black aura? Can it really adapt to and even partially ignore the damage from Brandon’s [Guaranteed Cutting Blade]?’

At this moment, even Gordon Chandler felt the situation was intractable and was at a loss.

The monster before them seemed to know no fatigue.

Split, attack, regenerate, over and over.

On the human Player’s side, however, whether it was Heath Summers’s large-scale weather manipulation...

...Brandon Barton’s incredibly draining, rule-based slashes...

...or Justin Brooks’s effort to maintain the massive Stone Wall, all of it consumed vast amounts of spiritual power and stamina.

Humans eventually grow exhausted.

Heath Summers’s face was already as white as paper, and his body swayed, on the verge of collapse.

Brandon Barton, who had remained expressionless while constantly swinging his blade, now had fine beads of sweat trickling down from his temples.

His breathing had grown slightly ragged; clearly, the continuous use of his Talent was placing an enormous burden on him.

"Something’s wrong!"

Gordon Chandler’s sharp eyes caught a detail that sent a chill down his spine.

"Look! The main body of that Monster Rabbit... it’s devouring the flesh of the surrounding Splitting Rabbits to heal itself!"

Seraphina Sullivan understood this was definitely an Ability granted to it by the Divine Favored, [Demon Beast].

Everyone looked over at the sound of his voice and saw the Gigantified Demon Rabbit occasionally reach out a massive claw, grab one or two of the smaller Splitting Rabbits beside it, and shove them into its mouth to chew and swallow without hesitation.

And as it devoured its own "split bodies"...

...the healing speed of the wounds Brandon Barton had inflicted on it clearly accelerated, and the black aura swirling around its body seemed to grow a little denser!

"I’ll be damned, it’s self-sufficient? You’ve gotta be kidding me!"

Dexter Luther couldn’t help but curse, his face a mask of disbelief.

Seraphina Sullivan’s heart sank.

She fully grasped the disgusting nature of the Splitting Demon Rabbit’s Ability.

It couldn’t just split indefinitely.

It could also rapidly recover and replenish its Energy by devouring the split bodies!

This thing was practically a self-sustaining, near-perpetual killing machine.

If this war of attrition continued, they would all be worn down and killed by this terrifying Demon Rabbit, with its "self-sufficient" cycle and nearly limitless stamina.

Witnessing the Splitting Demon Rabbit’s seemingly unstoppable "self-sufficient" recovery mechanism...

...the first thought that flashed through Seraphina Sullivan’s mind was to restrain it.

To completely restrict its movements and its ability to split.

Seraphina Sullivan had seen how Crystal Lynn’s White Jade Snake could use Petrification to immobilize the split bodies.

’The group of "The Silenti" in my [Scavenger’s Farm] Space...’

’If their [Petrifying Eye] could be used on the main body of the Demon Rabbit, maybe it could be completely petrified, breaking this hopeless cycle.’

’But... should I really do that?’ Seraphina Sullivan hesitated.

If she used her Space and the power of The Silenti under so many watchful eyes, her trump card would be completely exposed.

The benefits of hiding her true strength were obvious.

Just like that time with Yana Yates.

Her opponent never knew where the real threat came from, even in death, which saved Seraphina from the risk of being targeted by a Level 5 Player and the faction behind her.

She slapped her forehead in frustration.

’I’m so stupid! If I can’t expose my powers out here, I can just pull it into my Space and deal with it there!’

Her train of thought was instantly cleared.

As long as she pulled the main body of the Demon Rabbit into the [Scavenger’s Farm], it would be her absolute home turf.

Not only could she use The Silenti’s Petrification Ability...

...but all those "pets" in her Space, suppressed and eager for a fight, would finally have something to do!

If they all ganged up on it, how could they fail to take care of a single rabbit?

At this thought, Seraphina Sullivan immediately made up her mind.

But the next problem was how she could secretly pull this enormous Splitting Demon Rabbit into her Space under the watchful eyes of so many people, including Gordon Chandler’s "live broadcast"?

The answer was simple.

Let it keep splitting!

Let it split until it was small enough—small enough not to draw attention—and then find a chance to pull it into her Space.

"Look out!"

Just as Seraphina Sullivan’s thoughts were racing...

...a Splitting Rabbit that had slipped through the defenses seized an opening, baring its huge front teeth as it lunged viciously for her neck.

Seraphina didn’t even turn around. She simply swung her free left hand back casually.

A large pair of silver scissors, gleaming with a cold light, instantly materialized in her hand.

"SNIP!"

A clean, crisp sound rang out!

The lunging rabbit froze in mid-air.

Then, from head to tail, it was neatly sliced in two!

Foul blood and guts SPLATTED onto the ground as the two halves of its corpse fell with a heavy thud.

Dexter Luther, who had been about to rush over and help block the attack, froze in his tracks when he saw this sudden scene.

His eyes went wide as saucers. He pointed at the scissors in Seraphina’s hand, his tongue tripping over itself:

"You... your scissors..."

Seraphina’s expression didn’t change, as if she had just snipped a loose thread. She casually explained, "I’m a designer. It’s perfectly normal for me to have a pair of scissors, right?"

Dexter Luther: "..."

’Normal?!’

’What kind of designer uses scissors that can instantly grow huge?’

’And cut a vicious monster in half as easily as paper?!’

’Besides, aren’t you a support-class Player?’

’Being able to conjure needles and thread was already ridiculously overpowered, so how can you also summon such a viciously terrifying pair of scissors?’

’Did you put your points into the weirdest Talent tree ever?!’

Dexter Luther stared at Seraphina Sullivan’s back as she stood amidst the chaotic battlefield, holding the giant scissors.

Her composed posture, interwoven with the sharp killing intent emanating from the scissors, created a strange and bewitching beauty.

Seraphina paid no mind to Dexter Luther’s shock.

She immediately used her Spirit Link to communicate with Sean Chandler.

She briefly conveyed her plan to him.

They needed to pressure and provoke the Demon Rabbit as much as possible, forcing it to split until it was minimized in size.

Upon receiving the directive, Sean Chandler, who had just been catching his breath, had a sharp glint flash in his eyes.

He held nothing back. Throwing his head back, he let out a low wolf’s howl as his body began to transform again.

Muscles bulged, fur sprouted wildly, and sharp claws and fangs burst from his body.

[Beastification] Werewolf Form.

As a Werewolf, Sean Chandler’s speed and attack frequency skyrocketed once more.

He was no longer aiming for one-hit kills.

Instead, he used the Werewolf’s terrifying close-combat tearing ability, attacking the main body of the Demon Rabbit in a mad frenzy, like a whirlwind.

With every swipe of his sharp claws and fangs, his goal wasn’t to kill, but to create more and deeper wounds on the Demon Rabbit’s body, stimulating its instinct to split.
