Infinite Disasters: I Hoarded My Way to Godhood
Chapter 265: The Wall and the Weather Change
Chapter 265: Chapter 265: The Wall and the Weather Change
Forrest Sterling had been using an energy pigeon to stay in contact. Beside him, it dissipated with a soft *poof*.
He had clearly received a message from Justin Brooks.
He immediately reported to Captain Jensen, "The main force from the safe zone has reached the designated rendezvous point. We should go meet them."
Philip Jensen nodded.
Nearby, Aaron Webb, who possessed a ground-burrowing Ability, quietly emerged from underground.
The three of them had been relying on Philip Jensen’s Frozen Ability to create temporary ice caves, as well as Aaron Webb’s ground-burrowing Ability to move around, which was how they managed to monitor the Monster Rabbit from such a close distance without being discovered.
The two teams merged smoothly, and the atmosphere instantly grew more somber and tense.
Philip Jensen wasted no time on pleasantries and got straight to the point.
He relayed the most critical intelligence to Justin Brooks, Gordon Chandler, and all the members of the subjugation team:
"You’ve arrived just in time. Based on our close observation over the past two days, the Monster Rabbit has woken up twice, and its signs of activity are becoming more and more obvious.
’I believe its feeding session in Kaelen is nearly digested.’
’The next time it fully awakens, it will most likely move toward the Vorlag City safe zone. We must strike before that happens!’"
Hearing this, Gordon Chandler’s eyes sharpened. He knew there was no time to lose.
He immediately faced all the Players, his voice carrying clearly through some sort of simple amplification device:
"Time is short. I will now announce the battle plan. Everyone listen carefully and follow it strictly!"
His gaze first fell on Justin Brooks. "Captain Brooks, your [Wall] Ability is the key to this battle!"
"As soon as the battle begins, you must immediately create multiple concentric Stone Walls at the center of the combat zone. Trap the Monster Rabbit and all its potential Splits firmly within the walled area. You must not let a single Split escape, or the consequences will be dire!"
Justin Brooks’s expression was grave as he nodded heavily. "Understood! Leave it to me!"
Gordon Chandler then looked at Jasper Drake. "Jasper Drake, you will lead all the military Players and some of the Players with strong close-combat Abilities. Stand guard outside the Stone Walls Justin Brooks creates and form a second line of defense. Any rabbit that tries to climb over or break through the Stone Walls is to be killed on sight!"
Jasper Drake replied succinctly, "Understood."
Next, Gordon Chandler turned to the young girl beside him, his tone gentle yet firm. "Heath."
Heath Summers immediately straightened up like a schoolgirl being called on, her voice crisp as she answered, "Here!"
"When the battle begins, I need you to immediately activate your Ability and disperse the blizzard above our combat zone. Maintain a relatively clear battlefield! Can you do it?"
"Understood, Mr. Chandler! I guarantee I’ll complete the mission!" Heath Summers nodded vigorously, her small hands already clenching as she began to quietly gather her Power.
Finally, Gordon Chandler’s gaze swept over all the Players present—some rubbing their hands in anticipation, others nervous or excited—and his voice suddenly rose:
"As for everyone else! Regardless of whether your Ability is offensive, support, Control, or healing, once the battle starts, give it your all! This is a fight for our survival!"
"Understood!!"
Everyone roared in unison, the sound wave rolling across the snowy plains, carrying with it a do-or-die resolve.
Feeling the oppressive weight of the impending battle, Crystal Lynn subconsciously clenched her fists, her palms growing sweaty.
Her friend, Chloe Lewis, was more optimistic and even a little excited. She whispered to Crystal Lynn, "This is pretty thrilling. Back in the apocalypse dungeons, we were always hiding and running, terrified of getting swarmed by monsters. But now, it’s our turn to gather and hunt a monster! This feeling... it’s not bad at all!"
Dexter Luther, who was standing nearby, overheard them and grinned, patting his chest. "Then let’s enjoy this fight! We’ll show The Rabbit what we’re made of!"
Seraphina Sullivan watched Dexter Luther, who looked eager and full of confidence.
She couldn’t help but recall him fleeing pathetically from The Silenti back in the Petrification Apocalypse Dungeon. The memory was almost comical, but the amusement was quickly extinguished by the gravity of the situation.
Seeing that the deployment was complete, Gordon Chandler hesitated no longer and waved his hand.
"The plan is set! No changes! Everyone to your positions! Begin!"
The instant the order was given, Justin Brooks took a deep breath, and a surging, earthy-yellow Energy erupted around him!
Meanwhile, Heath Summers closed her eyes, pointing a slender finger toward the gray sky. An invisible ripple spread out from her!
The final battle had begun!
RUMBLE—!!!
The earth let out a muffled roar, as if a great dragon were turning over in its sleep.
Before everyone’s shocked eyes, in the area where the Monster Rabbit lay buried under thick snow, countless heavy, solid rock walls burst from the ground like bamboo shoots after a spring rain, rising high into the air!
They connected and closed in on each other at an astonishing speed, instantly forming a massive, airtight, circular stone cage that completely sealed off the target area!
Justin Brooks’s [Wall] Talent Ability was on full display.
At almost the same moment, another, completely different sound echoed across the sky.
VMMM—BANG!
It was a deep, muffled boom, as if some invisible barrier had been shattered.
Heath Summers stood at the front of the group, a vortex of pale blue Energy swirling around her. She lifted her hands upward, and a formidable Power erupted from her, shooting straight into the heavens!
The next moment, a jaw-dropping sight appeared.
The seemingly endless blizzard that had blanketed the world suddenly froze in place.
Then, the blizzard in that area vanished completely.
Sunlight, unseen for so long, broke through the clouds.
However, the cost of forcibly changing the local weather was immense.
Heath Summers’s small face instantly turned deathly pale. She swayed, nearly losing her footing.
Fine beads of sweat broke out on her forehead. This outburst had clearly consumed a massive amount of her Spirit Power.
Seraphina Sullivan took this in, her heart tightening. ’It seems I’m not the only one getting stronger. The other Players are all improving rapidly, too. No one is standing still.’
Heath’s range and Control over her Ability were clearly far greater than the rumors suggested.
There was no time for further reflection. Everyone’s attention was drawn to a disturbance from within the Stone Walls.
Evidently, the commotion from Justin Brooks and Heath Summers using their Abilities had also awakened the slumbering Monster Rabbit.
BOOM!
A massive "mound" buried under the snow suddenly exploded.
Snow flew in all directions as a colossal figure emerged from within.
It was a gigantic, pure-white rabbit.
Its body was the size of a two-story building.
Its red eyes glowed like molten lava, filled with a violent and destructive Aura.
The most terrifying part was its pair of exposed front teeth, which glinted with the cold, hard luster of metal, as if they could chew through anything in the world.
Just by standing there, it exuded a ferocious, overwhelming pressure.
Meanwhile, streams of data flickered wildly in Gordon Chandler’s eyes.
The image of the Monster Rabbit was being transmitted back to central command in real-time.
Gordon Chandler didn’t hesitate, roaring with all his might:
"The target has appeared! All personnel, attack!"
